I have no idea. I'm sure it'll be fun. I was just stating a fact because the turnaround was being compared to Levi's.

Cool idea, but yesterday's blueprints only show two hills consecutively.

No problem! It was more of a calculated estimate back then, but yesterday's blueprints solidified several things. KI can arbitrarily measure the height from anywhere though, so they still may say it's 3xx' feet tall, but per engineered prints, it's only 286' from the ground directly below the crest, so that's what I'm sticking with!

All the blue is existing maintenance ways from what I can tell.

There may be some validity to this. If you look at the "leaked" layout, there are a few red lines near the FOF/Firehawk queues where they're getting a bit reworked to combine the two queues, and lots of red lines at the new coaster's queue line. If you look at the theater, there are some similar red lines in the northern side of the theater. This may mean nothing, or it may mean red lines signify paths/walkways/etc. that are getting work done. The below is my fixed image of the leaked layout, where I properly scaled both images of the leak and stitched them together. Note that everything at the seam now lines up correctly. The previous, reddit-shared image (where the two images did not properly line up) had the entire right image (and thus that portion of the coaster) scaled down by ~10%, but I have fixed that in the below. I figured this updated leaked image was worthless after yesterday's blueprints, but this still may shed a bit of light on things!

KI's coaster will be traversing in the opposite direction compared to Levi.

That rolls off the tongue nicely. I think that'll be a fitting name.

I think I'm triple-posting at this point...but I used all 4 footings that surround the crest. Three of these footings have an elevation of 750', while the other is at 749'. For simplicity's sake, I'm just calling this small area of land directly below the crest to be at an elevation of 750'. Take the crest height of 1035.9' and subtract 750 from it gives you ~286'. (blue dashed line below is the crest's location within the 4 footings)

The lift's crest is 286' from the ground directly below it. I have an earlier post on page 145 describing how I came to this, but this pic below sums it up. The 4 footings surrounding the the crest are all at roughly the same height (750' ground elevation). These heights are from the footings coordinates, so they're legit numbers. I'm assuming that these heights are negligibly close to ground level (maybe 2-3ft above ground, but for simplicity here, I'm calling this zero). The crest elevation is 1035.9, so subtract the 750' ground elevation from that gives us ~286'. The crest is 286' directly above the ground below it. You're close with your 17' estimate to track height, but using the dimensions on that sheet you took an image of, I'd say the track height is right at 19' (about 1' below the station floor, which is at 20' off the ground). Note that the ground here is at an elevation of 740', about 10' lower than the ground where the lift's crest is. So, if you want to measure from the station's ground height, then the lift is 296' from the ground. However, station height is irrelevant to lift height. You don't simply tack on the 17' or 19' onto the 286'...they're independent numbers. The elevation heights are what we care about, so whether you measure from the ground at the station, or ground directly below the lift's crest, you're in the 286-296' range. They're marketing grab-words are the fact that the drop is 301', making it a giga coaster. At the end of the day though, they can literally say whatever they want and nobody will publicly refute them.

Per the footings coordinates in CAD, that distance is 97.96' (you can probably just round up to 98'). Note my number below is a factor of 12 off given my CAD cannot support such large numbers, so I have everything scaled down by 12.

Peak of crest to directly below crest. If we measure from peak of crest to ground at station, we get 295'.

The prints today show the track and station floor to be right at 20' off the ground (760' in the elevation plans).

Today's blueprints only completed the picture for height. You'll need to reference the last batch of blueprints (the concrete footing blueprints for the lift/station) to come up with ground-to-crest height while using the lift elevation (1035') from today's blueprints. That's where I was getting the 286' lift height. The 301' drop height completely came from today's blueprints.

I think I'm that guy you're referring to? I've done about all I can with what we got today. I could drop the overhead view into CAD, and sketch splines to match the overhead view and give them Z heights to match the few bottom/top heights that the blueprints give today to get a ROUGH layout length and 3D view of the track, but I'm sure someone tonight will provide a NL recreation based on what we learned today, which will be just as good as what I can do in CAD.

Yep, 286' lift height (per footings coordinates and today's blueprints) with a 301' drop (per today's blueprints).

Each track piece is numbered on one of those blueprints. It's not super clear in the station and transfer area, so I had to guess there, but I'm estimating there are 148 track pieces in total. If I take Fury's track pieces of 192 and length of 6602', I get an average piece length of 34.385'. An estimate of 148 pieces at 34.385' gives me a length of 5089', assuming KI's coaster and Fury have a similar distributed estimated of track lengths. Lift height, 286' Drop height, 301' Track length, 5089'

If you look at exiting the helix and below the first drop, the track and clearance envelope is dashed. My first thoughts is that is where the tunnel is.

Kentucky Kingdom is literally across the highway from Louisville's airport, and one portion of the park had a 200' max build height. The closest airport to KI is about 11 miles away, so if they have a max build height, it's either way more then 325'ish, or dictated by something else other than the airport.

Per these blueprints from today and the already-released blueprints from the lift footings, there's ~286' between top of lift to the ground directly below (one of my previous posts from today explain this). Also, final brake run starts at about 81' feet off the ground, based on the heights of the footings directly below (shown below).

Shortly before all the action happened today, I was working on a scale-corrected image of the 'leaked' layout. Since we know it's legit now, I'm not worried about posting it. Overlapping both images of the leaked layout and fixing the scale so that everything lines up correctly at the seam does give us a bit longer coaster (red outline is what was existing, blue arrow is the corrected length). No huge difference, and not really relevant anymore given the info we got in the last few hours, but ... yea. Fixed 'leaked' layout:

More I look at this, this won't be a DB 2.0. Almost every single turn on here, the safety boundary around the track overlaps the track itself, suggesting very steep banking. Some of these look overbanked, certainly at 90deg+, but hard to say at the moment. The trains will be flying thru every turn. Below are turns in order with very steep banking.

Nope, you didn't scroll far enough. I read the number wrong, it's 1035.9, giving us a drop of ~301'.
  25. BSBMX

    Decoding 2020

I'm going to call it... lift height is 286' with a 301' drop. The footings directly under "top of lift" are at 749' and 750' ground elevation. Subtract the 1035.9 lift height from these numbers puts the lift height at 286' above ground. Subtract the lift bottom elevation height of 735' from the lift's height of 1035.9' gives us a drop right at 301'. Lift height, 286' Drop height, 301'
