  1. Although you may have a small point about her and the way she handled her coffee you still need to read the facts. Look at the first two results on google. Then realize the facts. Either you are a McDonalds worshiper or you are one fry short of a happy meal.
  2. I was reading up on the whole mcdonalds thing. And you guys really need to make sure you know what the mcdonalds thing was about. From what I read, McDonalds serves there coffee up to 10-20 degrees hotter than the "standard" -- What other restaurants serve it at. They serve it hotter to save money. Anyways, If you want the details, you can google it for yourself. But what it boils down to (no pun) is This lady was burnt by the coffee and had to go to the hospital. She asked for McD to pay for the hospital bills and 800 dollars. McD dismissed the whole thing which is THEN when the lady Sued for the Millions she was asking. Read up on it for yourselves and then DROP the whole mcdonalds thing. As for any lawsuit at Kings Island. I believe they should read the back of a season pass or ticket before they go sueing. The back of the pass/ticket pretty much releases the park from ANYTHING that happens to you.
  3. Not sticking up here, and not saying it happened...but... WHAT IF... What if gillette bought you that roller coaster? Would you be willing to plaster gillette all over the ride? Or would you complain?
  4. So you give the advertisers more publicity by complaining about them. No one seems to get that concept --especially the media-- make your advert controversial and then you get free advertisement. Honestly though, other than Top Gun, do you really pay attention to the advertisements? I am there to ride rides. So what if they put adverts on stuff. I dont hear you complaining about billboards or anything else... Look now, where we have TiVo to help reduce commercials. What do we do? We incorporate a brand right into the script. Where when you are watching a show, and all you see is the Coke brand. Or watching King of Queens and they go to LOWES -- not a hardware store -- LOWES. They have the lows bag and everything... Its obvious. You just cant get away from commercials. Just think of it this way. Commercials help cut the cost for many things. If commercials werent in the park, expect your ticket prices to raise 5 bucks. Who knows what the real figure would be, but it would be there. Businesses are out to make money.
  5. I just want to know who that lady he was with was??? And familyman, You are right, he made everyone feel like there was no stupid question.
  6. http://www.cincyfun.com/video/PKI.MPG I know some people are fans of jeff seibert (sp) and While searching thru some videos i found this commercial of him in it. He is at the end of the commercial... http://www.cincyfun.com/video/PKI.MPG 5 Megs, Dial up beware..
  7. I think I am going to go down tonight and Sunday. Tomorrow looks like its going to flat out suck. Saturday is supposed to be cold, rainy, and windy. Thats not fun, I dont care who you are.
  8. According to Jeff, they gave out "about 4000" Personally I find that hard to believe, because like you say, you have all of clearchannel dayton giving them away (thanks btw, cc) TV stations, etc. You have to consider, you have columbus, cinci, probably some in KY, and WV, if not even PA. Say there are 40 stations, total. Which would be hard to believe, but just say. That would only be 100 tickets per station. I know WMMX were giving out 16 a day(4tix 4x a day), since about march 3rd. Thats Over 200 if my math is correct, Just from ONE station. WTUE has been less cheerful with theirs, but nonetheless, still handing them out. WHIO-TV I think that they arent giving many away, because you have to register online for a chance... so I wouldnt count the TV stations in for many. We'll See. Ill be there, But its supposed to be rainy, but Ill give a crowd report. PS. Where do you work Scooby Doo? And dont tell me Cartoon Central or I will have to beat you...
  9. Take a look at this... http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/OHZ...=Kings%20Island Every day, this weekends weather is seeming to get worse...
  10. Youre right reclaimer. Good eye. whats funny though, it says on the ticket may not be resold, etc. I mean, what are the odds of getting caught, and if you really want to go you could buy them, but seriously...
  11. Last year i went with someone 3 times, the rest of the 15 or so times, was alone. I had more fun than I did when i went with someone. To each their own however. And either which way, you will have fair weather people, and rainy weather people, because just as many people who go on a nice day, will go on a rainy day, thinking the lines wont be long, only causing them to get long. Get what I am saying?
  12. pkifreakhogg - Going to the park alone is not always a bad thing. I normally go by myself, and find myself having a better time. No one dictates or influences what rides I ride at any time. Its my 'get away from the world' time. Its where I find my peace. Unfortunately its not looking like the temperature is going to be all that warm. Upper 50's is what they are calling for at this point in time. We all know that will change by friday, but lets hope for some good weather!
  13. Ill be there on April 1 For the sneak peek! I will also be there on the 2nd and 3rd for season pass holders.
  14. And you seen how well that went...
  15. The only problem with this is PKI's name. They want to be "Family Oriented" I dont see it happening.
  16. I feel your pain. Especially those who act like they are _the stuff_

    Dumb Question

After a short googling i couldnt find anything that estimates the cost of a coster. So... How much does an average coaster cost? (ie: Vortex) How much does an average flat cost? (ie: Delerium)
  19. http://www.hussrides.com/33GiantJump2.htm IF that is what you were looking for. I dont know if you are looking for pics, or looking to 'see' it at the park.
  20. I rode Son of Beast last August, and coming over a hill it threw me back into my seat so hard, it bruised one of my vertebra and I felt crippled for over a month. I also downed at least two bottles of tylenol in that month. I think the ride just caught me by surprise over that hill, but his dad "The Beast" never hurt me that bad. In fact, NO other coaster has ever hurt me. I dobut I ever ride it again. It's fun, but just hurts too much for me. See, and I would say the opposite. I PERSONALLY think that 'The Beast' is a harder ride then 'The Son of Beast' just me though... to each their own.
  21. Its a roller coaster guys, What do you want it to be the cadillac of coasters. If you dont like it. Dont Ride It.
  22. Ride in the middle of the first car of the train. Best ride.
  23. It was a Robinson R44 (Helicopter)
  24. Long time reader, first time poster... Not trying to compete, only contribute. Gabriel has taken some awesome shots! Arial shot of ActionZone area. Shot of DropZone, Face/Off, Timberwolf, and the Crowded Parking lot. Shot of the Eiffel Tower and HB Land. Shot of HB land and what I think is the Admin area. A far shot of The Racers. (Hard to see due to haze). Shot of the Son of Beast. Shot of the Son of Beast 'corkscrew' (or whatever you call it). Shot of the SOB hill with DropZone in the background. The OLD WaterWorks Enjoy!
