Man, that would just freak me out. I am not afraid of heights or anything, but man thats scary. Just think if you made someone mad and they decided to throw you over. Or if someone was suicidal and jumped or something. *spine chills* Also, if you look, there are people on the bottom level too. You can even see people walking up the steps. I think that would be neat. They say they dont open that level up anymore, because they are understaffed. I have a hard time believing that, but who knows.

It says it was taken from the top of the tower.

Somehow I knew you were going to find something wrong with my post. In any case, I think they have better things to worry about...

Well, it may as well be a monopoly seeing how you cannot bring outside food or drink in the park. And unless you want water, you will pay what they charge or be thirsty. And as far as not being able to pay for a drink, thats 1/10 of the price of admission, thats a lot when you think about it. Especially when you can buy 3 drinks at the gas station down the road for the same price. And dont think they arent making money on the drinks. I know what I pay for a case of pop off of the Pepsi truck (~$0.50 a bottle) and thats only for one case. They are probably buying truckloads from Coke. Lets say they are paying $0.40 a bottle, which is probably high. That would mean for every bottle of pop they sell, they make $2.85. Tell me thats not a rip off. Now if they were to sell them at $2.00 a bottle, I would bet they would increase sales 3:1. This would mean they still get a profit of $1.60 per bottle. Lets assume sales DO increase 3:1 3*1.60=$4.80 Its about the money right? Then we would all be happy. We get cheaper pop, KI makes more money in the long run, and Coke sells KI 3x more pop, in turn, making Coke more money.

Or from the tower, thats cool too! Just get there a bit early so you can get a spot to see.

Remember, Spirit Song will be there 6,7, and 8... I would expect larger than the normal weekday crowds... On the other hand, I would have thought that about this last weekend too, but it wasnt too bad. Only difference would be the different shows that were put on to disperse people.
-
Haha, what difference does it make where you're at and how you type? Just messin man... Just had to ask.

Were there three launch sites again this year? -One behind SOB/Gun -One at normal location -One at the pumpkin patch I will be down tomorrow to check it out. Im glad they light the tower, I dont know why they dont light it all the time. Cool

On the SOB, for the best ride, as everyone will tell you, ride in the first car, second seat of that car. Also, if you can get by with it, try to leave your lap bar a bit loose, this acts as a buffer, and makes the ride smoother, at least for me it does. When you go in the loop, its probably the smoothest part of the ride, and at first you feel a bit loose in your seat, and then as you complete the loop, it feels like you get pushed down. I dont know any other way to describe it, but thats my description.

with onsite registration, what time should you be there? 8:30a? And in the flyer it says that registration is limited, and you may not get in if you do onsite? Is that true?

PKICentral Exclusive: School of Rock 2006

First off, thanks for the update... Very nice. Also nice of PKI to let you guys do that. Thanks PKI/PKIC Now... I am a bit confused with the employee participation. Even if you are in street clothes on your day off? You arent allowed to play a game or VIEW a show? I could understand games, because thats like the radio stations saying that employees or family members are not eligible to win. But thats when you are essentially playing for free, like calling in... but nonetheless, same concept... But going and watching a show... that seems a bit odd. -
Thats what I thought when I first read it. Sounds like an excuse from Marketing to get an extension to sell passes. While most of us would have likely never known about any outage. Just one more chance to get the word out.

I was there 2 weeks ago, and it seemed like between 6pm and 8pm things seemed to die down. I was there between 3 and 8, and was able to ride, Delirium, drop zone, top gun, Vortex x2, avatar, beast, ijst, and fof, all within the 5 hours, so I thought it wasnt that bad. Not to mention, you will probably see the crowd a bit mor dispersed this weekend thanks to the gold pass preview of BB

My exact thoughts. I have thought about this from the beginning of the season, I have just been afraid to say anything because I figured it would start a flamefest because no one wants to admit anything is wrong. Face it, Jeff was an awesome guy and he made everyone he talked to feel like he knew them and wanted to make sure THEY were having the best time in the park. JEFF WAS ONE PERSON! Doing the job of 10 PR people if you ask me. Now here is food for thought for your statement. Has things suffered BECAUSE Jeff has left? I doubt it, because we all know its about the money, but im sure there is a part of it. Also, how many CP commercials have you seen lately? And how many PKI commercials?

haha^ Love in an elevator, livin it up when I'm going down... Boddah, thats a good idea. If you wanted to be discreet about it, they do make sunglasses with mp3 players in them. But I think with some of the small mp3 players and some BLACK headphones (no you wont be able to be cool like all of the ipod people) you could get away with doing that.

While I can see some correlation (because I am trying) I have a hard time saying that it would fit with The Beast. Are you talking about the actual music? Or are you referring to the lyrics of the song? I think that if The Beast was slower, and smoother the song may fit better?

The yellow, green, and red had been repainted from what I saw today. There was some purple splatter near the top of the purple ring, but that was the only fresh purple. I would assume they will be finishing shortly. The paint was more flat than it was glossy, but it did shine a bit. Overall what was painted was more brilliant. On a side note, I noticed Vortex got a new sign.

Take the volume of fire in the sky with WEBN and reduce it by about 2/5 WEBN last for 25-30 minutes, PKI will probably last about 10 Minutes this year. That is how *I* would compare it. Its basically 3x what they shoot every night, in about 3 locations of the park. Just an opinion.

How old is he? Will he know the route traveled? Now that I think back, I probably ruined more for my parents than I did myself when I did it, but I could tell where we were going based on the geography. If he is old enough to identify the area, take a different route. That is if you can keep it a secret that long... Have fun, ill be there too.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the Smurfs. Or maybe I am the only one that misses them. I liked that big rainbow slide too... Dont recall its name.
-
Are we all a group of none or something? Are the people on PKIC the only people who think this way? Is the public so naive? Or are we just losers who go to the park all of the time? Why does PKI continue to operate how it does? I know I am just one person and they could care less if they get my 90 bucks each season. I know I am not the only one disappointed with the early closings. I loved going to PKI on the weekends and staying so late. Whoever said they like the lights at the park is right. For the most part in the summer, you wouldnt be able to get much enjoyment out of the lights at 10PM because it doesnt go fully dark until about 9:40. I know my opinion doesnt count. But I wish they could take care of their true fans of the park first. Maybe they face the facts and know that even though we complain, we will be there anyways... Does anyone else think there should be a limited sale of goldpasses and then treat goldpass holders like they really have something? I would pay 200 bucks for a gold pass if it was LE and we got treated live true VIP every once in a while.
-
My thoughts exactly! I laugh at the first two rides every year when I see them at the county fair. I am sure you have seen them too. Thats really disappointing.

At last check, I counted 630 acres. See this thread for more information. http://www.pkicentral.com/forums/index.php...wtopic=5776&hl=
