  1. Technically, the same could be said for Congo Falls in the fact that people could throw stuff at the oncoming boat.
  2. This could actually help the guest flow a lot better than what it is right now, even with the Swan Lake path blocked off for construction. That main Rivertown path (from RVT Pizza to Crypt) gets so congested it is insane. Especially with the addition of both the beer cart in front of Pizza (which gets massive lines during Haunt and on weekends) and the Getaway Vacation station (which, honestly, would've worked out much better in Coney in front of the Jukebox Diner), it becomes way too crowded and it gets to be a hassle to walk on that path. A bridge connecting the path in front of the restroom beside Stunt Track and the path behind Wings would most certainly help out by adding extra and quicker access to the other side of Rivertown.
  3. ....I still think those two supports behind the Crypt are for the first drop on the grounds that they look thicker than the supports for the second hill. The renderings show the supports for the second drop are of the same thickness as the ones for the second hill. And the ones behind Crypt resemble the thickness of the supports that hold the crest and majority of the first drop.
  4. At least it's better than hoping in line for the Night Row. RingMaster, who just HAD to.....
  5. Oh, you should've seen the people at Fright Feast on that night. 30 roamers/creepers versus 18 guests.
  6. You have to also figure in Trail of Terror, which can also take 15-20 minutes to walk through. However, it's been noted that the line for ToT is very short compared to what Urgent Scare is known for. Three to four hour waits with lines somehow making it to The Racer entrance. And I had originally believed Headless Hollow/Tombstone Terror-tory to have the longest lines, partly due to its double line technique (waiting in line for the train, THEN waiting in line for the maze once you get off). ....but Death Row beats everyone else in terms of capacity. At most, that line reaches an hour and a half wait on SATURDAYS.
  7. Kidzville has been at those parks since their inception so long ago. And a Nick-themed kids area has been buddy-buddy with Kidzville for a little while now (much like the old Nick Central/Hanna-Barbera Land setup prior to 2006).
  8. Makes you wonder if they're gonna try and put that last chunk of straight lift track up tomorrow and wait til next week to cap off the lift hill. EDIT: Oh, and 800 POSTS WEWTBURGERS!
  9. Of the seven that voted for the Creepers and Roamers (me included for...obvious..reasons), what's your reasons for why you liked them/us? My favorite is our "nasty habit" of triple, quadruple, and even quintuple-teaming guests into crying uncontrollably, sprinting off into the distance (with another one or two monsters chasing after them), or, even better, wetting themselves with....excitement.
  10. I saw in another post a video that showed a swarm of scaracters walking by Wings on their way to their haunts...do they come inside Wings on their way by? ........maybe.......you'll just have to get a ticket for the Fright Feast to find out.
  11. At least now we know who the first person to ride Diamondback next year will be.... ....and he's NEVER gonna give that spot up.
  12. Wow, it's amazing to see what all they did YESTERDAY, Ryan. I wonder what they'll be doing TODAY. [/sarcasm]
  13. I have yet to try one as I am either always working or I don't have enough money (at 7 bucks a leg.) But they look (and smell) so freakin GOOOOOOOD.
  14. The two things I use when I start to get real tired are the Retarded Zombie Walk and the Statue Effect. Retarded Zombie Walk is basically an over-exaggerated zombie walk where the arms flail about furiously and the legs give in all too often, as if I'm just too lazy to friggin walk ten feet. Then, of course, the Statue Effect is just that-being a statue. Sometimes I'll do it standing up, and sometimes it's while sitting down. I believe the longest I've gone doing the Statue Effect is around 7 minutes without moving. People say it's freaky when they look me in the eyes because I don't blink and I just stare blankly into the distance.
  15. Off-topic but still on-topic: Hey Ashers, what's your opinion on the roaming/creeping monsters running around the park (Action Zone, Coney, Rivertown)?
  16. That song played right after Automatic's 'Monster' is 'Knights of Cydonia' by Muse, I believe. I know I heard it being played last year. And for the second question...Welcome to My Nightmare by Alice Cooper, right? At least, I think it's better than the original. EDIT: Check out Knott's Berry Farm's take on Club Blood: ^ Holy freakin crapola, that's killer.
  17. That cart is heavier than it looks. With three dead bodies (I need more...MUCH more) stacked and stuffed in there, it weighs a good 70+ pounds. But it proves to be one hell of a distraction as people glaring right at it are caught off guard as a monster slides up on them.
  18. I ended up saying "It's all right, he's gone" to her when she finally decided to look up at me and realize it wasn't her boyfriend. I about died laughing after that happened.
  19. Off-topic but still on-topic: I believe the Crypt building is only about 90 feet high. I remember in the press releases about it back when it was Tomb Raider it said that it was as tall as the top of The Racer's lift hill and first drop (which is only 90 feet, I believe). Just thought I'd share that.
  20. When nightfall hits and you walk past it in its current state and you're looking at the track for the second hill, it is absolutely terrifying. And this is in near pitch black, and you can see the silhouette of the track itself among the night sky and the trees right next to it. Trust me, I didn't get to look at the webcam for construction updates until just now, so imagine the look on my face when I saw it during 'Hearse'als; it truly scared me seeing something that big in the freakin DARK.
  21. From Screamscape: Top Halloween Haunts 2008 - HauntWorld has released their list of the Top 13 Haunted Attractions around the country as well as the Top 10 Amusement Park Halloween Events, Top Haunted Amusement Attractions, Best Charity Haunts, Haunted Hayrides and more. I'll briefly recap the theme park list for your enjoyment: 1) Halloween Horror Nights - Universal Orlando 2) Knott's Scary Farm - Knott's Berry Farm 3) Phantom Fright Nights - Kennywood 4) Halloween Horror Nights - Universal Studios Hollywood 5) Howl-O-Scream - Busch Gardens Africa 6) Howl-O-Scream - Busch Gardens Europe 7) Halloween Haunt - Kings Island 8) HalloWeekends - Cedar Point 9) Fright Fest - Six Flags Great Adventure 10) Old Tucson Studios Nightfall (Arizona) .....how's THEM apples? Oh, and I can already guarantee Uni Orlando will be number one again this year with their Bloody Mary HHN event, and I hope KI will check their event out so they can "borrow" a few ideas from them:
  22. And in terms of atmospheric lighting around the park, you'll be happy to know that everywhere you look, there shall be subtle hues of reds, oranges, greens, and blues from spots and locations you really wouldn't expect. ....like the bushes, for example.
  23. Yeah, our first rehearsals are tonight, but I cannot, for the life of me, understand why the park is open tonight for only five hours to the public. Unless it's a test run for the lighting and sound effects for the park in terms of the Haunt, then what's the point of them to open tonight? Of course this may have been the original date for Pride Night as it has been in years past (the Friday before the Haunt starts up).
