  1. oh, my bad. I guess with 4 trains, it was in trims?
  2. they might. I havent beeen there in awhile and that is why i said used to. Sorry for the confusion.
  3. I prefer the middle
  4. I know KI sales some really cool IJ shirts, but not the same exact. They used to have a cart saling the shirts right out side IJ
  5. That is a good question. I guess some rides dont have enough brakes to have all of their trains on it, so they park 1 train on the lift. For fof, with 2 trains, we park them in load station, and unload station. For 3 trains, we park them in Load station, waiting brakes (between load and unload), and unload station. For 4 trains, the are at Load station, waiting brakes, Unload station, and trim brakes (return tunnel). Most rides park their trains where maintance can easily get to them too.
  6. i dunno. im not maintance. i just know there are controls up there that they are always messing with.
  7. The ride ops cant, but maintance can and may at the beginning of the day, but not in the middle of the day b/c they have to be up there to do it. It could be due to weight and or speed. I just know they havent used them in awhile, nut until just recently.
  8. I hope so. Kings Island needs to have a good scare
  9. FoF was bulit and designed for 4 trains with 6 cars on each train. I believed it used to run with all 4 trains, but b/c of it setting up too much, they took it down to 3 trains and train 4 was left for parts. They ran 3 trains up until 2001 when they redid the restraints. They took away the 3rd train b/c the crew was running to slow and the park decided that the ride was better off with only 2 trains. Every year, they rotate the trains. In 2001, It was train 1 and 2 i think and 2002, it was tains 1 and 3 and this year, as you said, trains 2 and 3. Sometimes, if one train has a lot of trouble, they will take it off, go down to 1 train for that night and bring in the other train to replace the one they took off. Hope this helps! Also, rumor has it and not from a reliable source that they were going to go back to 6 cars per train since they are now running 2 trains.
  10. I got sent to beast one time, as a close. they told me they were going to let me, but they had me close at Greeter and clean the line. That was an experience I would have died for
  11. Im sorry as well. I was tring to figure out what you were talking about b/c you pretty much said the same thing as me. Sorry. I didnt mean it to sound harsh, but after reading it, it does sound that way.
  12. Yes, the old restains allowed bigger people to ride b/c it gave them more room. The new restraints are smaller, and taller people can not ride. Those seat belts are a pain the neck, let me tell you. I made up speils so that people will know how to use them. Appearntly, the new current sups are teaching their crew to do this. Oh well.
  13. How am i wrong? Isnt that what i said? "Racer and maybe The Beastie are the only wood coasters that leave their trains on the track. All Steel coasters are left on the track at different pars the the track. Normally the lift, station, ready breaks, trim brakes, or what ever brakes that the ride has. They are never left on the ride or on the brakes in the middle of the ride. " I said maybe beastie, b/c i didnt know. I named off almost every break that coasters have and YES, they do park their trains on those brakes. How am I wrong? That is eactly as we both said it.

  15. This goes for flat rides too such as Zephry, Scrambler, Dodgems, Monster, Action Theater ( too dark anyway) and other flat rides. The ride ops will stop the ride, make u secure it, or take it away until you are done riding. It is also a cause for being kicked out of the park. Don't do it. You allowed to bring in a camera into the park, but dont take it on rides. That is the best advice i can give you.
  16. it opened up in 2006. Next season will be its 10th running season Long live FoF!!!!! As for as the mid-coarse bracking, they bring it back every once in a while. They normally do it if the trains are going too fast. There really isnt much of a need for it now since they are running 2 trains, but back when it was 3 trains, they were used all the time. I think they are using it now b/c it still gets rough, esp right before the cork-screw.
  17. I think you are just looking at it back wards. Here is a link of The Bat station showing The Bat's sign. Its in the same location where The Vortex sign is now.
  18. You know I did too.
  19. It is in the same spot that King Kobra was in and it never sank, did it? lol I am sure it will be around for a few more years.
  20. OMG, LMAO.
  21. Correct me if I am wrong, But i think the track the FoF at PKD was constructed 1st then the building.
  22. nope, they built parts of the building 1st then the track. I thin the drum was left open until the ride was done though.
  23. Im sorry, my prev posts was talking about general pics of FOF, not construction pics. I re-read the post and I'm sorry
