Universal’s IOA help please.
Thanks Vortex – I haft to ask what about the bridge that you are referencing? Due to work schedule we decided Sunday to add a couple more nights to the end of our trip, which was a bit of a hassle but Air Tran waved our transfer fee so 2 bonus days are now scheduled and one will be at Typhoon Lagoon and another showing of Fantasmic. Here is the plan now. Disney's new campaign next year 2009 is “What will you celebrate?” To bad it’s not this year, because they are giving a free ticket on your birthday and I could have used it this year.

Universal’s IOA help please.
Thanks Touchdown for your list. We are staying at the Disney’s POP Century value resort for 11 nights. We are hardly ever in our room and POP is only $92.00 a night but we get free transportation to and from the airport and to all Disney locations and on top of that 2 meals a day (one of them is waiter service) and a snack for each of us (4) is free too. Did I mention all that for $92.00 a night!!!! I hope Universal starts offering a similar deal as I will start staying there, as it is now it’s cheaper to stay at Disney and commute to Universal/Sea World. Example for $92.00 we get a room and all 4 of us can eat breakfast at the resorts food court go to universal and after they close at 7 PM eat a waiter style dinner at one of the many Disney restaurant’s.

Thanks guys for all the info Todd - thank you for that very insightful bit of information, I know I feel more at ease with your touring plans and expectation description. So when are you going or should I ask which night are you not going? If you are going on the October 2 and want to meet up let me know.

Universal’s IOA help please.
Hi everybody it is official I have a ticket to Universals’ Halloween Horror Night on October 2 (I’m really excited). I am going alone and have a express pass to get me through everything fairly quick, so expect some picture without family in them later (I know you guys will like that part). Anyway when I ordered the tickets they offered me a ticket to go to IOA for three hours before the start of Horror Nights for $15.00, I could not resist as I have never been. So here is my question; (for those who have gone) with only 3 hours what ride/attractions should I do and what order sould I do them? Thanks for your help.

True but there is a cost to those non expire tickets No Expiration Option - Regular Magic Your Way Tickets expire 14 days after their first use. Choosing the No Expiration option means you are free to come back and take advantage of unused days at any time. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is: 1-day ticket n/a 2-day ticket $17 3-day ticket $23 4-day ticket $50 5-day ticket $70 6-day ticket $80 7-day ticket $110 8-day ticket $145 9-day ticket $170 10-day ticket $200

Cory – you are right on the Disney price breakdown dropping on the forth visit and here is that breakdown Magic Your Way Base Ticket (gate price for admission to one theme park per day, including tax) # Days Adult (ages 10 and up) Child (ages 3-9) 1 $79.88 $67.10 2 $158.69 $133.13 3 $225.78 $190.64 4 $233.24 $195.96 5 $236.43 $199.16 6 $239.63 $202.35 7 $242.82 $205.55 8 $246.02 $208.74 9 $249.21 $211.94 10 $252.41 $215.13 As far as why they make such a drastic cut after the third is for a variety of reasons we may never know, but a big potion of the GP have their favorite Disney park and then their least favorite. If Disney kept the price up on the forth visit many visitors would opt out on their least favorite Disney park for the opportunity to go to Universal or Sea World. But instead the visitors have a different choice of paying $7.46 for a day at Disney or pay more for the other non Disney parks. This then keeps a lot of visitors in the park for another day and allows Disney to make more money that may have lost. RailRider – Zoe will be ready soon for a Disney trip and I wanted to tell you that you are going in September that is when you usually get the best deals. I just wanted to tell you that so you’ll keep that in mind.

Wow it looks like you guys made some great family memories and as the slide show went on the tanner you guys got. It also sounded like the biggest crowd you guys had was at your condo. A special paragraph just for Zoe, she is really growing fast and she is absolutely adorable. You guys must be so proud.

Disney reacting to counterfeit fastpasses/re-entry tickets
DeLorean Ride – thanks for all the info and I love your inside info. One question for you; is that you in the picture? I like the look of those uniforms I bet they show up in the dark very well. RailRider thanks for the compliment on the avatar, we had that picture taken at EPCOT last year in the Imagination building with Figment. Below is the bigger image of it. As far as Miss Rae’s princess gowns; we always buy the nicer more expensive ones from the Disney store after Halloween for a greatly reduced price. Miss Rae doesn’t grow fast so we are lucky to get long uses out of them (she still fits last two years). So she is supposed to be wearing Tinker Bell this year but I really didn’t like that choice and Miss Rae wants to be Princess Giselle, so well see. I did not do a trip report of last years 15 day Disney trip but wished I did so expect one this year. The reason you see this in your future is because as you have learned, every girl is a princess in their daddy’s eyes. Just remember they grow up fast so embrace the moment and take her to meet her imagination. XGatorHead8904 – great to hear you are going too! Sounds like you have a nice trip planed with family and friends complete with breaks between parks. I think you’ll like POP, everything is close in the resort area, dedicated buses and their food court is good. I don’t know how old your little one is so you know best about MNSSHP maybe next time. Also I was worried about the price and what could we do in that little time and I got to tell you I was shocked and would pay more for that kind of entertainment. I’m jealous of your Daytona day; we did that last year and had a great day riding waves on an extremely windy day.

Hard Rock - news not so good
Glad to hear you and the family made it back safely. Those highway blowouts are scary. One of my customers just back over the weekend and they went to MB too. They said they had fun but said it seemed like the area was run down and not like it used to be, then said they are going elsewhere next year.

What New Services Should KIC Offer?
To be honest I don’t think I have ever seen you without a smile on your face. That is why it is good for you to have something on with the KICentral logo on it, for that rare occurrence you’re not smiling.

Tips for a HHN First Timer
I’ll just add maybe an alternative. If you are in the area and since you have younger ones in your party you may want to go as a group or split up between parks and attend the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. It’s not haunted houses or scary/provocative scenes, but great clean not scary entertainment with villians used in parades, trick or treating numerous shows and the best fireworks show I have ever seen. Plus everyone can dress up in costume there. Here is a link to the MNSSHP http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/speci...caryHalloween08 you can also search youtube for videos of the event. either way have fun.

What New Services Should KIC Offer?
I think a lot of members would wear shirts with KICentral name on it and the reason why I suggested the Button/Tab is because it is cheap and it would be something I would wear to the park over a t-shirt. I did notice that Café Press has both; many shirt choices and a variety of button sizes among many other items that could be used for everyone’s own personal taste. I would just like to see some way that members could spot other members when in the park.

Disney reacting to counterfeit fastpasses/re-entry tickets
Wow a Disney cruise that would be nice, I bet you are excited! I have wanted to do that for a while myself. I hope when you come back that you take some time and share your experience with us, I don’t think I have seen a trip report of a cruise on here yet. We go down every year at this time and get a bit worried from the storms in Aug – early Sept but they always seem to go away by the time we get there. So I think having several storms in a row it will let up like it has in the past. The Boardwalk area at Disney is really cool too, enjoy.

What New Services Should KIC Offer?
Other Idea Suggestion I would like to offer a suggestion on something I know I would like to see; some sort of iteming that members could put-on/ wear or display while at KI. I think it would advertise your site but most importantly allow the members to see a fellow member while touring KI. Especially on opening weekend, park announcements and so forth. I have enjoyed all the great entertainment this year but I have equally enjoyed meeting so many fellow members here. I think something cheap and easy to do is to use Plastic Coated Metal Tabs like this Which can be found at various sites like this http://www.extra-mile.com/pinspatches/butt...metal-litho.htm Poll Feedback I like to see Podcast or Video show. In a past thread I suggested this in a post

Water Parks Splash Ahead
We do love the waterparks and look forward to going to them. Our personal favorite is Typhoon Lagoon because we like the huge ocean waves in the wave pool, but mostly because of the laid back feel to the park. I mean nothing compares to walking on real sand and watching your young ones play in the sand while you relax in your chairs. I have considered renting a gazebo at the water parks but in my opinion they are way over priced for me. I always thought “why don’t they lower the gazebo price then make money off of the offered amenities”. Also I Wish KI would expand their park photo’s to include a photo pass type system where you pay one price and get all your photos on a CD for one price and offer more roaming photographers for this type of service to include the water parks. Photo Pass type of service is a big money maker and besides KI key hole offerings haven’t changed much in like over 30 years, besides internet availability. For those who don’t know what the photo pass system is, here is an explanation. basically you pay a fixed price (discounted for advance purchase) then have your photos taken around the park including some rides then when leaving pick-up your CD or go home and crop and add graphics to them, then have the CD mailed to you.

Good to hear you are able to see some of the great festivities while you’re working. Maybe you did, but I hope you got to see the Villains show in front of the castle too. Yeah I have seen the 4th of July’s firework show on high definition and I agree the music sound track and non firework light show on and around the castle make Hallowishes a must. When I went last year I went in thinking it was just going to be just another day at MK with just some extra activities, Boy was I wrong! The whole lighting package, shows and everybody (young and old) running around in costume made me feel like I was at a completely different park. So I decided it is a must do again this year and this time I’ll be in costume too. The Boo To You parade is supper cool. The sound track is hard to get out of your head tough. Kids just love it!

Disney World Leads "Massacre" Of Entertainment Cutbacks
I think this has to be the worst misleading article ever. I mean (in my opinion) it leads the reader to think the cut backs are because of the economy. Disney has been doing very well as noted Pleasure Island has been rumored to be closing for years, because low crowd draw from the resorts and trouble from locals. They are putting more night clubs closer to the resorts and strong rumor that the popular Adventure Club will resurface else where. “Four for a Dollar” is a warm up act that sings while guests are coming in to find a seat before the Main Show of Beauty and The Beast. Pocahontas show is a small outside Theater that runs half empty at most shows and needs some rehabbing but rumors for more to come in that area may warrant this move. The fireworks at Fantasmic are a move to get more Guests to go to the Final American Idol Show due to open soon, If not no one would go to the Idol show. I think the guests will revolt on this one. Well see if there is a big announcement coming early October from Disney that may put the poo poo on this article

Press Release: Amusement Today Awards Kings Island With Best Kids' Area
I am not sure I would agree with some of the results but that that would be just my own opinion. I really do believe though, if they gave a Golden Ticket Award for best Promotional Entertainment, I think Kings Island would win that award hands down this year.

KI Central Day: The Haunt
Terpy – I hear you there, I am getting ready to plunk down $150.00 to go to Universals Halloween Horror Nights VIP tour and that does not include admissions to get into the event. The tour takes four hours, with up to 12 people in the tour. I would much rather pay more for a tour than only see a few haunts in a long conga line. I think if KI had this a KICentral members could organize a group to fill up a whole tour group itself. I just think it would be a way for KI to attract and make some extra money from some of us who stay away at night to avoid the crowd
