My guess is that is where any remaining merchandise will be sent to. It will either be that or that it will just be destroyed. Having worked for Cedar Point. Cedar Fair has a tendancy to toss a lot of merhandise instead of selling it. Keep us all updated!

I don't make it to the park as often as many on here may, however if any of you find Winterfest Merchandise being cleared out please PM and let me know. It will certainly be worth my drive down there to pick up some of this historic stuff. I know that some of the games are giving out the Winterfest Plushes etc... but I am wanting the nicer souveiner stuff, fleece, ornaments, shirts etc... Keep Your eyes open for the merchandise!

I usually don't ride it anyway. Been there done that. Have not ridden it in a couple of years.

did it ever open Sunday. I know when I went by it Sunday it was not open either

In an e-mail that I received today this was stated: From Maureen concerning the ACE Beast Walkback As you know, we offer the first ride on The Beast to our ACE friends every morning that the park is open. This year we are met with challenges…..and opportunities! First of all, our parking lot will open at 9 a.m., instead of 8:30 as it has in past years. The front gate (metal detection, turnstiles, etc.) will open at 10 a.m., instead of 9 a.m. Of course, this makes it pretty difficult to get into the park to meet at the ACE stone. Here’s the plan, Stan…..we will meet at a special ACE a-frame sign near the very exclusive and somewhat secretive Season Pass entrance (located between the Season Pass and Will Call buildings – to the left of the main turnstiles). At 9:45 a.m., our Guest Relations team will escort our ACE friends to The Beast for the first ride of the day. ACErs must meet us at the a-frame, and they must have their ACE membership card!!!! All ACErs will be allowed one non-ACE guest for the walk back. On very busy days, our security team will use their best judgment and allow folks to get through metal detection and the turnstiles early. They will be corralling everyone at the top of International Street. On these days, we will still meet at the a-frame. Season Pass holders will have early ride times on Saturdays and Sundays during the season. They will be entering at the Season Pass gate as well for their 9:30 a.m. early rides. Please note, we will still meet at the a-frame!!!! GR will make sure our ACE friends are escorted in for their rides.

Just curious if any information has been passed along about the meeting place for The Beast walkback yet? With the gates not opening until 10 now there was talk of meeting outside the gates. Any idea where yet?

I suppose since Cedar Point just upgraded their website they were sold as well?

It is an amusement park as well as a theme park, not every ride/attraction has a theme. All they are doing is broadening the scope. THEMED AMUSEMENT PARK Nothing major there!

Oh no not another one! I certainly do not believe anything that is stated until it is official. Cedar Fair Execs would tell NO ONE! After the problems Cedar Fair had with buying Visionland it is safe to say that only a hand full of EXECS know what if anything is really happening. For those that do not remember Cedar Fair announced the intent to purchase Visionland in Alabama only to have the deal turn sour. I am sure they are going to make all completely official before any such leak or announcement.

I had been getting it for a couple of days and it went away yesterday. I had to go through the Paramount Parks main page to get on the site.

Thats alright they cancelled the parade the night I was there because of weather. Guess they forgot that WINTER is in WinterFest. I am shocked that the park will not open tonight! Do you know how many people are going to show up there tonight and will not be able to get in? UNBELIEVABLE!

I would love to see it return. I never got to eat up there. I have been up there for other events and it is a wonderful place. I think that the Restaurant would do very well there. It would do extremely well doring Winterfest!
