The Brady Bunch to Return to Kings Island
Snake Attack! replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island

Couldn't find anything interesting on 2.02.88 but on 7.01.92 there was a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in California
-
So maybe the ride will be called "Snake Attack!"
-
So if we were to predict another big event coming to Kings Island when and what would it be? I think/hope the Brady Bunch will come back on Labor Day Weekend!
-
On Sundays during the summer you are allowed to use your Gold Pass to get $5 tickets on Skyflyer all day long

I have always wanted to take the stairs on the Eiffel Tower Also I would love to walk the track of The Beast, Racer or Son of Beast with the maintenance crews in the morning

I agree that the park probably should have stayed open until 7:30ish just to give people a little more advanced warning. However at 7:00 there really wasn't anyone left in the park so it didn't really matter. I believe the last time that the park closed early was opening day 2005 when the park closed at 12:00pm. The weather that day was awful, windy, and constantly raining. I also seem to recall another day in Pre-Season 2005 where the park never opened because the weather was so terrible. It was a Sunday in April/May.

angrybeaver's huge Photo/video trip report (4/26/08)

Those were removed in the 06/07 along with the remote control trucks game by Adventure Express Very Nice Pictures -
I am pretty sure that the straight line winds did not hit the Eiffel Tower with as much force as the sign. I live about a half mile from where the straight line winds hit and we didn't get a bit of damage, I think it was like a tornado in that if the structure wasn't hit the damage was minimal. In my opinion if the Tower had been hit head on by the straight line winds it would have toppled.

The Beast Firehawk Son of Beast Delirium Flight of Fear If I were you I would ride them in the order of Son of Beast, Delirium, Flight of Fear, Firehawk, and a night ride on The Beast!
-
I honestly wouldn't count on big lines at all. FOF, and Firehawk will be the only ones you will have to wait for. However if you are going to ride in the front seat on SOB and Beast then expect a 10-15 minute wait. Have a wonderful trip!

Carmen Electra Flips For Kings Island
Snake Attack! replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
For the most part this holds true, however they did have the Freedom Concert and a Weird Al concert last year. Not sure if they have announced any other concerts besides Spirit Song for this year. -
What Was Your Impression of KI for Opening Day 08?
Snake Attack! replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KI Polls
A couple of things that I observed, While the park really didn't invest in a big attraction this year they made some much needed improvements. -New red and white trashcans -Credit Card Machines at some games -Renovated Guest Relations -Show in Festhaus -Many things repainted There are many more but it is good to see the park spend some money outside the latest greatest thrill ride. -
Did anyone notice that when they showed the Drop Zone sign the bottom part that used to say stunt tower says cream zone. LOL I think it is supposed to say scream zone.
-
I think that Slingshot was a 2002 attraction because King Cobra was removed in 2001 and I don't think that Delirium and Slingshot opened in the same year.

Restaurants Feel Pinch
Snake Attack! replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The only difference that I see is that at a Reds game you are likely to only spend 3-4 hours inside the gates, while at Kings Island people come to spend 7-12 hours inside the park. Eating before and after a Reds seems quite easy while leaving the park in the middle of your day, going to Kings Mills and grabbing some fast food, seems like it would be difficult and annoying. Thus people are more likely to pay the ridiculous prices. I do agree with you that the park can only go so far in pricing before shooting themselves in the foot. -
What is the worst roller coaster you have ever been on. EVER?

The Vortex at California's Great America was awfully rough and extremely painful when I rode it. Might have been a fun ride sitting down but not standing up. -
Its really nice for the park (Don) to be sharing all of these photos with us, there have now been several updates each week with photos from all over the park. Good to see

For the park to close many many people would have to leave so that the park cannot justify staying open. I am guessing many of these guests likely do not have a season pass, so they will not leave very easily. Also keep in mind the company bought the rights to this day in the park, and I imagine that they are entitled to the entire day, rain or shine.

Sorry if this is a bit naive but what is the GOCC? (something something coaster club?)
