  1. If you go this Saturday plan on some big time crowds, I would say that the bare bones nights will be a great time for you to go.
  2. I am pretty sure that it was just moved to another location
  3. Yes the crowds will be quite large tonight and I would expect increasingly crowded for the rest of Halloween Haunt at least on Saturdays. Even last night most of the haunts seemed to have fairly good waits
  4. The gates typically do open about a half hour before the park does but as katreina stated you won't get too far
  5. Wait when the rocket takes off won't the whole tower fall over?
  6. While the Timberwolf isn't used much anymore I don't see it being removed because of its ability to bring in big crowds. This year they had weird al, the freedom concert, and spirit song all of which made the park pretty crowded.
  7. I wouldn't mind seeing the entire ride removed, whenever I go to KI that ride is my least favorite ride and that spot is a prime location for a new ride.
  8. I don't know about that in terms of staffing, while I know not many ride workers are minors but there are some and they can only work past 11 on school nights, beyond that the staffing will have to come from colledge kids which is rough on them too staying till 1ish doing rides, getting back to colledge and having class at 8 the next morning. Then again you were in rides so you probably know better
  9. I don't think I would put it on I-street because you wouldn't be able to see much except the entrance/fountains/trees. I would put it on the Mall at like the Zephr looking toward Octopus.
  10. Athens Ohio? I just took a college visit there today and while on the tour they gave us the Ohio University newspaper and on the front page was all about a chipotle going in. I guess it is going right where the old taco bell was.
  11. Are you nuts. The lines haven't been that bad all summer unless you could only come on the weekends. I've been to KI 14 times this season and just look at my signautre to see the # of rides I have ridden so far this season. Yes it has been hot, but I only went like one day when it was extremly hot. Sorry not trying to me be mean, but sounds like a poor excuse to not get your money's worth on your SP. I went 3 times this summer. Once on mon, once on tues, and once on wed. The park was extremely busy every time and the lines for everything was 1+ hour except Vortex well that is baffling unless you went during the fourth of july week, or during spirit song, or some other special event, during the weekdays Mon-Thurs you should be able to walk on almost everything with the exception of Delirium, sob,Firehawk, fof
  12. No ones said this yet about DZ but what on earth would go in DZ's spot. The Locations of Drop Zone is tiny compared to any roller coaster and there is no open land around Drop Zone, not to mention it fits the AZ theme well.
  13. Wow these are awesome! What water ride is seen in the right side of the kiddie land pic behind the bathrooms? I also really like the one taken of adventure village which shows the land before festhaus is built
  14. Bout 10 mins driving Half hour biking Hour Walking
  15. ^Slingshots regular price last year was $25 although it very rarely hits that price on a day that isn't saturday or a holiday. DOT is actually a very fun ride and for the price of 6 bucks they do let you race for a considerable amount of time. The Laser tag building hasn't been open now for a couple of years.
  16. I don't know what was up with Drop Zone it was really weird, the ride was up and down all day and at like 8 or so the seats were 1/4 of the way up and one side of cables was really slacked and looked like no weight was on it while the other side was tight. The park was quite packed and quite honestly the most crowded I have ever seen it this year
  17. It seems as though Cedar Fair is doing good to the customer (cleaner park, new rides) and bad to the employee (rules, cut fun budgets) while I cannot say which will be better for the company in the long run.

    8/2

I believe this is a Cedar Fair thing seeing as though the only other place I have seen these fans is at Cedar Point
  19. The International Resturaunt was open year round? Wow kindof a cool idea to eat over everything in the dead of winter or right before the park was about to open.
  20. After working the day last year all I can say is that pride night is just another valued experience that I have gained through working at the park, although Iwould not attend this night as a guest.
  21. aaa might get a cut of it...that is all I got.
  22. The Racer was not added to in the 80's but correct me if I am wrong didn't The Racer lose one of its bunny hills when the walkway was added to FOF in '96
  23. I believe that the Metal Detectors are definately a good thing. Look at what happened at VT this past spring, what if that were to happen at an amusement park where someone just opened up their firepower on a crowded midway or in a line. While very unlikely it makes me feel safer whenever I am at the park to know that the guests don't carry any firepower. Safety is the number one priority of an amusement park and I feel as if the metal detectors make the park safer.
  24. yep it is pretty much just that simple have a fun time!
  25. Well we only had from 10-6 so there wasn't too much time in there, also none of us knowing the park we didn't necessairly make the most efficent trips, so we ended up just skipping a bunch of rides we couldn't get to.
