  1. When we to PKD last year, I found myself comparing everything to PKI too. Like you said, I think it's because you were raised on PKD and I on PKI. I did notice that our FOF is much more exciting. Something was missing from PKD's. I think the best ride at PKD is Volcano. I loved it. I also liked Hypersonic, and wish PKI would get something it. Great TR!
  2. Nope, but I hope it is either a thrill ride, or some kind of roller coaster.
  3. Good TR! I can't believe you missed Magnum! I love that ride just for the air time, but I have not been on Millenium Force, so I can't compare the two. I agree about Wicked Twister.
  4. I hate that they keep raising prices. The last time I went to Disney World (10/2000) we paid like $55. It's insane how much prices raise.

Wicked Twister is far better than Reptar. WT has a wicked launch and great twists up both spikes. Reptar can hardly compare. It just meanders. I agree! I went to Cedar Point on 7/30 and Wicked Twister was a lot of fun, and so were all the other coasters I rode.
  6. Yesterday, my friend and I went to KI and had a blast. We arrived at about 11:15am, and the parking lot looked bad, but every line was short! We waited in the cave for TR:TR for about 20 mins. and then we rode front seat on The Beast. It was only about a 15 min. wait. Then we ate some Larosa's and went to ride Hanna Barbara but it was closed so we ended up riding Spongebob's 3D ride. Then we rode Recar, Adventure Express, Delirium, and Italian Job. We finally got the front seat of IJ, so we will probably never ride it again. We also rode some other little things since we had time and then we rode The Beast again in the front before it was time to go at 5:30pm. I had a lot of fun yesterday, we didn't get to Face/Off, but that's okay.
  7. It's hope it is not too bad when I go tomorrow. I am a little scared now.
  8. I agree, I dont know how you did it in the heat. My friend and I were suppsed to go tomorrow, but we decided it was to hot.
  9. The guns SDATHC weren't working when I went also. I was a little mad because I really wanted to kick some butt.
  10. I know I am a little late, but I still wanted to write this.... This was my second visit of the year and the most exciting, believe it or not. My boyfriend and I went to the park expecting long lines and crowdiness but it was just the opposite. With the threat of rain, it wasn't to crowded. We played lots of games and did some shopping and rode very little, only because he is not a big rider like I am. When it started to thunder, we went straight to Tomb Raider and waited for about 20-30 minutes. It was his first time on the ride and he loved every minute of it, but he was still terrified of Adventure Express. I would have liked to ride The Beast, but I didn't want to scare him to bad. All in all, we only rode SDATHC, TR:TR, Avatar, Adventure Express and Top Gun, which scared him a little too. The live entertainment was cool too. The skydivers were awesome and it turned out to be kind of romantic for the both of us.
  11. It would be cool if they did add Volcano. When I went to PKD, I rode it twice. I thought it was awesome. I loved the scenery in the line, it was kinda of tomb raider-ish. I don't think PKI will get one, although, it's like the only that is not similar to anything PKI has, but then again, we do have SOB and we don't won't PKD to have a SOB. There is really no space for it either, unless you replace it with Top Gun.....
  12. Now that you have pointed out the new paint jobs, I will definately be on the lookout for them. I hate to hear that the door on TR:TR doesn't close anymore. When it closes, it shows that we are going into the "unknown" and that there is no turning back. Oh well.
  13. There's a dance/cheerleading competition on September 2 and 3. It may not be a concert, but it sounds interesting to me, being a girl. I just checked on the park's website schedule to find that.
  14. That article seemed like it came from someone who already figured KI sucked. I hate that they compared Wicked Twister to Face/Off when Face/Off was built before WT. I also don't think the writer considered that when all the rides in Action Zone were built, that KI was under contract with Paramount, meaning that they are allowed to name rides after some of their movies, just like Universal Studios (who I love). By the way, I like both parks, and I wouldn't be able to compare them like that, b/c they both of exciting rides.
  15. I know things break. I was just looking forward to my first KI visit of the year, and I barely rode anything. I have a pass, so it's not like I am complaining that I will never get on anything b/c they break all the time. Keshia
  16. I had very mixed feelings about my trip today. We went straight to Delirium only to find that it was broke. Then we to SOB and we rode in 2-1, and it was horrible. After the helix and after the loop, it was very rough. If I was a sailor, I would have yelled every curse word in the dictionary. Then we ate Dippin' Dots cause it was extremely hot in the park. We then went to Tomb Raider, but the line stood still forever so we assumed it broke down and left to go ride The Beast. It seemed pretty smooth today. We rode in the first seat. I still love the double helix. Then we rode Italian Job which had the shortest line I've ever seen for that ride. When the guy put us in line, the ride broke down. I guess it was the launching system cause the train was stopped at the launch point. We waited for about 15 minutes. The ride was really fun because all the effects were working. We even got wet and we were in 3-1. Then we went over to Avatar and found out it was broke, or as they say "It always the platform!" We got some Icees and then saw it was running so we were able to ride and it was so much fun. Probably the most fun I have ever had on a family ride. I was little mad cause a lot of rides were broke, including Vortex. And it was hot and people seemed irritable. We didn't even try to get on Face/Off but this only my first visit of the year! Keshia
  17. I rode SOB yesterday.... AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. My friend and I usually sit in the front but it was a longer wait so we decided to sit in the second car, first seat. It was never that rough in the front. I was so mad, because it a little smoother, but instead it was a lot rougher.
  18. Does anyone have plans on going to King's Island next Sunday, 28? If so, do you think it will be as crowded as it was this weekend? Keshia
  19. I agree, but the comments make you think. As long as my opinion doesn't change b/c of them I am okay.
  20. I hope it is smoother after they fix it. I love SoB, it's just rough. I always sit in the front, hoping it is a little smoother, but never is. That ride bounces all the wrong places.
  21. I love King's Island b/c me and my friend's family have bought the 4-pack for since they started doing, so whenever we are bored, someone drop us off and we have fun for an entire day. There's not much to do in Dayton and it's only a 45 minute drive.
