Glad you had fun at KD. I have only been once and I loved Volcano!! The launch is amazing, and definitely not what I was expecting.
-
I don't think anyone has mentioned "If You Had My Love" by Jennfier Lopez aka J-Lo lol! I definitely heard that in line for The Beast on the 10th. I only remember because me and my sister began to dance in line.

I saw TTD rollback Sunday as well. But I didn't experience one but I would have been terrified.

My family decided to take a trip up to Cedar Point yesterday. I was so excited! I knew the lines would not be the 2 hours they are over the summer so I was excited to ride everything I had never ridden before! Mom and Dad rode rides with my nephew Jackson most of the day. He is 3 and we know he is going to be a daredevil when he can ride. My sister and I started with a 15 minute wait for Millenium Force. I had never rode MF and I was nervous about the hill but I loved it! Jackson wanted to ride it, but he came to realize he was too small. We then rode the train to the back of the park so we could ride Maverick. It was about a 45 minute and our longest wait of the day. I didn't think Maverick would be so intense, and we were definitely shocked at how intense it was. That drop was amazing and all the turns were great. I wondered why they made me take my glasses off, I see why now haha! It started to rain a litte but a few rides were still running, including Top Thrill Dragster. We were watching, and it didn't clear the hill so it went straight back down. We had planned not to get on it after that. Gemini closed while we were line also. After the rain, we rode Magnum. I love that ride. The airtime is amazing, and my picture made me look like a lunatic. You could tell I was trying to get the full of effect of the air haha. We then made our way up to the front of the park, passing TTD again. We rode Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport (i don't know why) and Raptor. Jackson rode every ride up there in Planet Snoopy, and by that time we decided let's ride TTD. We don't go to CP often, so we knew this may be our only chance. The line for TTD was only 15mins!! I wa scared, but I knew it would be fun. My sister was more afraid than I was. I kept reminding her of the fact that we waited only 10-15 mins. You can't beat that! Needless to say, we both loved it!! I don't really remember anything before the launch though. It is all a blur. But it was so fun! Although our time was short at the park, we are still happy we got to ride a lot of the main rides the park has to offer and not wait 1-2 hours for them. The last day is the best time to go...despite the cold air! Keshia

This holiday weekend (8/31, and 9/1), my family and I went to Kings Island, and Coney Island, which dad referred to as the "original Kings Island". He says that is where his family went before KI. Ok, so Sunday the 31, we went to KI. We got there pretty late around 330pm. Me and my friend were able to ride FOF, Firehawk, SOB and The Beast. The lines were each an hour or longer, but I didn't care because we still had a blast! This was my first time on FOF this season, and I swear it takes off way faster than usual. It was still awesome. On Firehawk, two people were stuck in their seats, so we had an extra 10 minute wait. We were already up there and right after we got on, they shut the ride down for a little bit. SOB was the same, rough in the rose bowl but smooth everywhere else. And we rode The Beast at 930 in the very back, in complete darkness. Best ride ever! Oh, we also rode avatar because the line was still open at 10pm. We were only over their to look for the rest of my family. Overrall, it was a good final trip for the season. On Monday, we went to Coney Island. I haven't been there in about 5 years, and my dad hadn't been there in what, I don't know 30 years. But we let my little nephew have most of the fun today. We watched him ride everything he could. It was super hot though and crowded. I am pretty sure tickets were $2?? But I am not sure. I did get on the flying bobs and we played lots of games. We had a nice family outing today as well. Due to gas prices and other things, my family had to stay close to home. Usually we go to Cedar Point, but this was nice as well. Thanks for reading! Keshia

I hate when people get in front of others who have been waiting for a long time, but I just don't think that comment by the older lady was neccessary. I do admit it is kinda funny, because I clearly could have ran along with those "cutting" the line, but still, comment not neccessary .

This is an awesome photo TR...I was just on Six Flags over Georgia's website looking for a new amusement park for my family to visit, and then I see your photos. Awesome, and Goliath looks like so much fun!

Thanks! I found my picture!

I was wondering if anyone knew the website where you can view your pictures online and buy them? I lost the pink slip, but I remember the number. Thanks for any help? Keshia

Trip Report - June 1st - Kids mostly - Glowing Customer Service Report
CrazyKay07 replied to khaoskat's topic in Trip Reports
It's nice to here a wonderful report on customer service! I wish that didn't just occur at Guest Relations. I'm not saying it does, because they are some really nice people that work "in the field" and not just behind the desk. Especially some of the ride ops. On Saturday, 5-31, I encountered a supervisor that did not come to the window and help us. Instead she just yelled at the employee to tell her what to do. It seemed rude, being that the supervisor did not come and adress the situation. Keshia -
It was our first trip this year. Sorry if that was made clear enough. Also, my nephew refers to both the La Adventura de Azul and the KI/Miami Valley RR as Thomas. More so the Azul though. It was KIMVRR that was our last ride of that day. Keshia

Saturday I made my first visit to the park with my family, which included mom, dad, older sister, and my nephew Jackson, who is 3. It was also the first time I had been a gold season pass holder in 3 years, so I am excited because I know I will be at the park a lot this year. We got there at about 11am where I went through processing and waited no more than 10 minutes. From there we were on a way in the park. While waiting in the processing line, my sister bought a ticket from someone in the Appalachian Fuels group, and she was able to get free 20oz. soft drinks all day and that really helped the family out! We started our day on Firehawk where waited 20 minutes. It was a great ride as always. Jackson was getting very impatient at this point. He already played the $1 skeeball twice, but he was ready to ride. Mom and dad took him to Nick Universe at this point and me and my sister continued to ride. After a stop to the restroom and to get some free pop, the family officially separated. It was about 1pm then so we made our way to Vortex where we waited about 10 minutes, and we rode in the second row. It was a pretty smooth ride, but it did have some rough spots. Our picture was great haha! From there we rode BLSC in the front! We waited about 10 mins. for this too. Then we were going to the ride the Crypt but it was closed all day, so we rode The Beast instead. It was pretty much a walk on. We rode in the front seat where we actually waited. It was probably about 15 mins. total. It was great ride as usual! I was scared though because since the cicadas were out, I figured they would be out there in the trees trying to attack the coaster or something, but it was fine. Those things were everywhere though. From there I stopped to get an icee mix up cup...bad decision. I don't know exactly where I can refill that thing. I stopped at Subway where I experienced a very rude employee. I understand that this may be a summer job, but there is no reason why you can just treat the job that way. I know what it feels like but I know how to talk to customers/patrons which is why I still have my job after 3 years at the age of 19 now. After a stop to get some fries, we went to find the rest of the family at NickU. Jackson was riding the swings for the second time and then he rode the bumper cars for the second time as well. I ate some ice cream while I waited for him to get off the Little Bill's coaster. Then dad, mom and I rode Avatar in the back row which is a very different sensation from the middle. My mom was screaming and it was funny, and fun. Jackson rode the three Dora and Diego rides behind Avatar while we rode. Finally we rode SDATHC for the second time for Jackson and we left that area. I think when we left the time was 3:30pm so we stopped at Larosa's. After that we walked through Action Zone and we baby swapped for Adventure Express because we always ride that ride together. Then walked back to Coney Mall where Jackson was able to ride Monster and the Scrambler. The mom and dad rode BLSC. Our last ride was the train, which Jackson loves! He always call it Thomas the train. We left at about 7pm and we were exhausted. The weather was beautiful though and the park wasn't too crowded. We were able to ride everything we wanted and never waited more than 10 minutes. We just didn't ride much in Action Zone though, but it didn't matter because we wanted to make sure Jackson had fun, because he has been asking to go to KI since the commercials started to appear on tv. He had a lot of fun and today is asked if we were going again. If you saw a little boy throwing a Scooby doll around at the front entrance at about 7pm, then you saw us. Thanks for reading! Keshia

It would have been cool if the public could have submitted some names for the rides. We could have come up with something better than Backlot Stunt Coaster or the Crypt...although the Crypt is kind of cool now that I am typing it. I just hope that that whole ride will get a major overhaul...new lightning, maybe a new rotation or something, and definately keeping it dark all year.

I went Saturday with my nephew. He loves Kings Island so he really had fun. He wore his Thomas the Train costume and his future step-sister wore a little witch outfit. He didn't get to ride everything because it was crowded but it was still fun.
-
Thanks everyone!!! Now I am excited!

Is Halloween Haunt open on Sundays? On the KI map it says just Nick or Treat, and we are going to that, but I also want to to ride some big rides without the treat of being scared or having to leave my nephew and not let him roam the park with us. Thanks! Keshia
-
I went on a Thursday, and it was not very crowded. I wouldn't go KI on a school day, especially during Fearfest because it's not open lol. I do suggest going the very last day the park is open, which is usually a Sunday and the park is open 11am-7pm. The park is empty and it is breezy outside. I enjoy that kind of weather, and I always wear a hoodie, and then I come off of the rides with tears in my eyes due to the bitter air. Good times.

I remember this ride, but barely. I think my family rode it occasionally, but not a lot. I just remember always anticipating that huge drop...well, it seemed huge.

This was probably my last visit to KI this year since I didn't get a pass. I didn't get to ride too much b/c I went some of my sisters biker friends, and they all left at 2:30pm. But I did finally get to ride SOB!! I was so excited yet nervous! I didn't really know what to expect. I sat 6 seats from the back, so I already thought it was going to rough. But I actually enjoyed the ride! Yes, the rose bowl is still rough, but that thing is moving fast! It was fun. I actually got to put my hands up for a little bit without having to hold myself down. After SOB was when everyone left. One ride for them. But me, my sis, her BF, and a another friend went to wait in line for Firehawk. It was my second ride, and I still love it. Very fun and exciting. Then we went to meet up with my mom, dad and little nephew in the picnic grove. My parents had been on every ride in Nick Central twice. My little nephew has been asking to go to Kings Island since we left Disney World in June. He is only two, but he was ready to go. I can tell he will be a rider. Funny thing was that, when we left Nick Central to ride the train, he was like "I wanna go to King Iyand!!!" I think he thought Kings Island was just Nick Central. He had lots of fun to say the least, and still wanted to come back today. After my sister left with her son, my parents and I went to the last show of the day of Endless Summer. We were hot and thought it would be a nice way to end the day, and it was. I do hope I can make it back again before the season ends. But who knows, I am really busy and I still have lots of dorm things to buy! -Keshia

I do agree about their Tomb Raider. It was really exciting and fun. I went to KD two years ago, and I enjoyed it. We also rode Hypersonic, and I was really scared, but I liked it.
-
I know what you mean with the rude workers. I personally think they are mad because they didn't get to work on a ride. But I have had my share of rudeness, and attitudes galore.
-
Great trip report. I am really upset I missed the fun. I thought for a minute I missed meeting Carson Palmer, you fooled me with that.
-
There were on in the first helix tunnel. All the other tunnels were completely dark as usual except for that one.
-
I think CP is surrounded by many hotels, all in different price ranges. Most have the free shuttle too. But the one we rode from Ramada Inn was super crowded. (I think that was the hotel.)
-
I have slight proof of that fact that no one pays full price: me and my friend had to wait in the general ticket line, and almost everyone had a coupon in their hand. Their was one guy who was giving them out, and he was also scalping. You also see people at the metal detectors with large pieces of white paper, a.k.a e-ticket haha. I think most people know when to go to the park. It is never really super crowded the weekends, but I think Saturday is a whole other story. Maybe this is way people think attendance is low. It is called good timing.
