If attendance is low, I blame it on the economy. I wasn't able to buy a season pass this year because I am trying to save money. Whenever I go, I only buy a small meal, and some ice cream. I don't think KI should be $45 either, although you rarely find anyone who pays full price.

That sign is hilarious. It shouldn't be that funny to me. It seems out of place.

I was there yesterday too, and I was sad that SOB was not open! Which means I have to go back! But Firehawk made up for me missing SOB.

Me and my friend Lisa got to KI around 10:30 and went to straight to Firehawk. We waited about an hour and half, and time seemed to go by quickly. I must say that ride is pretty awesome! I loved every minute of it. We screamed sreams of fear that quickly turned to screams of joy. We ended up buying our picture because it was pretty funny. We then hoped that FOF would be open but sadly it was closed. It was not on the sign that said what rides would be closed so we thought it would be opened. So we left and we rode the Spongebob 3d ride. And then we stopped at Subway, where I had my first bad experience of the day with the food service people. The lady did not know how to count at all, and then she got an attitude when I brought up the fact that she gave me the wrong change. I really think that need people who are nicer to work behind the counters. A lot of the food service people did not seem like they wanted to be there, and I found it very rude. I am just 18 myself but I know how to act to customers and patrons. After that we went to ride Adventure Express, Viking Fury, and then Delirium. I was very sad that SOB was closed today because it will be probably be the only time this whole season that I will get to ride a lot. We were going to ride FaceOff but it was shut down. So we waited then we left. Then we went to check on FOF just because I wasnt' sure if it was closed but it was. So then we went to ride The Beast. I love that ride. We rode front seat as usual, and it was really thrilling for some reason. There was a light on in the tunnel, and it kinda ruined the experience, but still fun. Then we rode Avatar and Scooby Doo, just to have some fun. Then we went to ride the swings and Shake Rattle and Roll, because we were really tired. We finally got a second wing and rode IT:ST, and TR:TR, which truely sucks now. It wasn't really fun seeing all the mechanics of the ride, and the water below without lava. That whole ride is nonexistent to me. The cave is horrible with lights and I miss the preshow. But we did have lots of fun! My only complaint is the food service people. I meet one nice lady all day! I got water from her, and she was very friendly! I hope to get back soon and ride SOB!!! Keshia

I hate to say but Vortex. That thing hurts my head. The only time it didnt hurt was when i sat in the last row and sat down with the straight back. I am really short, and I didn't want to have a headache after riding b/c there was more to do that day.

You would think so, I mean if i was a tester i would hope that means that this ride is running for inspection or something! I do hope it opens for my visit on the 11th. I am super excited to ride Firehawk and opening SOB would make it better!

I know what you mean. My family used to be able to afford to go every other since I was born. The last time we went before this was 2001. I asked my parents at the beginning of my junior year if I could go to Disney World for graduation. I wanted to be able we could afford to go. It was rough financially but we did it. We will probably be paying for it for the next month. But it was worth it and I hope you can go soon!!

I don't if I can't put this here or not, but I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures a week ago, and just wanted to say how much fun it was. We first went to Universal Studios! I love the park! We rode everything, including Twister, The Mummy, Earthquake, Jaws, Men in Black, E.T., Shrek 4-D and Terminator! I must say the Mummy is one of the best roller coasters I have ever experienced! I love the special effects! The coaster is not thrilling like Magnum or something, but it is thrilling in it's own way! We rode it twice, first we waited in the standby line as they call it, and then the singles line just so we could go straight to the front. Suprisingly, our family wasn't even split up that much. Wednesday, we went to Islands of Adventures. They definately have their share of fun rides, but they could more. It's really an exciting park. We started with Dueling Dragons. The line for that ride is so cool. It's like the TRTR line, but way longer, darker, and has so many skeltons. The ride itself was awesome. We chose the fire side. I love when roller coasters drop to the side instead of straight down and that's what it did. That ride was just short though. We also rode the Hulk. They kept saying that some difficulties with the gamma radiation and there would be a short delay. (Lies!!) The ride only closed when it rained, and we refused to leave because we were so close to the front. The ride was awesome though. The launch was fun, and then straight into the little corkscrew was fun. That ride is pretty fast to me, and fun. We also rode the Spiderman ride, which is amazing! The technology on the ride is cool. I love the 3D effects, and how you fell like you are flying. We also rode the Jurassic Park River Adventure, some Dr. Seuss rides, and that was about it.... We also went to Disney World during our week stay, but that wasn't as exciting as those two. We went to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. Expedition Everest was really fun. It's one of the few coasters Disney has. I will stay prices are crazy!!!!! You think KI is bad??? Yeah, go there. KI needs to lower there prices because they don't have that much to offer compared to them. Well, those parks are $67. The thing I also loved about those parks are the wait times. Every ride has an estimated time to wait, and they continuously update them. Most of the time, you end up waiting less than what they say, but lines down there never stop moving! The capacity levels are so high. And then some rides have cars that never stop moving also. The themed lines also help the time go by. And since this is Florida, the lines are in air haha. Some rides had the single rider line which cut your time literally in half. My family utilized this three times during the whole trip My family had a good time though. And this was my graduation gift, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I hope no minds I wrote this all here at KIC! Keshia

I've never had anyone sing to me while on The Beast, and I always ride it. This makes me excited though because I love corny things like that. And I love The Beast at night!

Isn't the water park price included with passes and ticket prices?? I think it is. That could be the reason, because you had to show your pass at the main gate anyway to get in the park, and since they are connected you wouldn't have to show it again. I think....I am just guessing really.
-
Just for further references....I went last year on July 4th, and the park was not that crowded. It was a good crowd, nothing crazy. I wish I could go June 4th or 5th though.
-
Yeah, I got a voucher from my school to go for $25, but that ends on the 31st....and then I would get to pay $35....go figure.
-
I most definately will not be going on a Saturday. I will make my usual summer trip with my friend on a Wednesday.

Can someone post a picture of Dick Kenzel? i don't know what he looks like.

I do agree with AE being 5 because it is jerky, but not Italian Job! That is not rough or jerky! I do think TRTR should have went up to a 5 because if you are new to the park, you have no idea what you are about to experience. There were so many newbies to that ride today. Some guy asked me and my sis what did, and some other got really scared when it began. And avatar is not a 4!
-
I think the theming was down today. I could'nt really enjoy w/o the theming, but yeah it was probably one of the opening day malfunctions.
-
I agree! there were so many managers and VIPs!
-
There's new padding on Vortex?? that's awesome, cause i rarely ride Vortex because i always so deep in my seat and i really bang my head. maybe now I won't feel to far down in the seat! I will admit I didn't even notice that AE had seat belts! I know something was different about that! And I didn't even get to ride Racer! I wanted to see if i could feel the new wood. Did The Beast have new wood cause it was really rough today, but i enjoyed it! Keshia

I love the front seat best, especially at night. It really adds to the ride.

Hey PKICentral! I've been looking through the Kings Island site through the season passes, I was wondering if anyone knew if I could only buy the passes at the park or online? I always bought mine at Meijer but I am guessing I can't do that anymore. Does anyone know? Thanks!

Whatever the 10 million goes to, I'll be so happy to know that we are getting something other than a revamped kids area.

I went last summer, and it seemed ok to me, the launch was the roughest but it didn't bother me.

It was called Boaconstrictor. Thanks to the power of DVR, I saw it.
