I think KI has enough wooden coasters, we definitely need some more steel ones. They are an entirely separate thing from the wood coasters we have.

I think the Italian Job is a complete waste of space. And as I've said before I think it kills the beautiful scenery that was created by the antique cars. I hate having huge explosions and a loud coaster in the center of the park. If the Italian Job hadn't come to KI the park would be a better place.

If nothing else that song had to get you into a semi-good mood. I remember when I worked back in the games in Coney we always loved that time period where we would shut down the games and just do the parade dance.

At least not physically hurt. Can you imagine living with yourself after something like that, though? Two people died trying to rescue you? And another may have died watching the aftermath of the attempts? If the man was drunk he probably wouldn't remember whole lot so he might not feel so much remorse.

I agree with that. While I don't like smoking, and it smells bad and whatnot it doesn't make me 'choke' or anything. And especially back in the day smoking was commonplace, people did it all the time, and lots of people at that.

While at Jungle Jims with gamesguy08 we noticed possible new supports for the monorail. does anyone have any ideas or details on this?

I would much rather work a game next to a smoking section and smell it all day long, then see one person walk through the park with a cigarette. Smoking smells bad yeah, but keeping it in small areas is a brilliant idea compared to letting it happen all over the park. Think of how bad the whole park would smell and how terrible it would be to walk through any part of the park and find people smoking.

Thanks alot for the info, I always wondered what happened to that coaster. I go down there often and I looked for it but in the span of a year it came and went. I remember my dad wouldn't let me ride it because he was sure it was unstable.

Maybe.. but I also know there are unsafer coasters, while i don't remember the name of it there used to be a coaster at a small small amusement place similar to dave and buster's in gatlinburg, TN and everytime the coaster would go around the turn the wood would move.. it was freaky

haha.. do you know how hazardous those back yard coasters must be.. one wrong move and it would be bad news.

What I don't understand is why there are smoking places all over in nick universe. And why people just don't care to stay in them. I work a game called Gold Rush quite often and there is a smoking place right next to it. the worst is on hot days people won't put out the cigarettes all the way so they put them in the box and then they burn the whole box up and i have to go put out the mini fire inside the box. As far as staying in the designated areas goes I always tried to persuade people to go to the smoking areas and I would even have people come up and ask where the closest one was. So it's not like people didn't go there at all, it's just that more people need to persuade guests to stay within the areas.

I think that the IJST has really disturbed alot of the tranquility the park had.

my favorite spot @ KI is in the paramount story place. mostly because there's never anyone in there and it's nice to get away from all the concrete and mobs of people every now and then. the top of the Eiffel Tower is spectacular as well.

this topic has gone way too far off base here.. but seriously, the whole park is huge, walking from one end to the other takes some time unless youre a vet KI walker. walking the TG line can be as fast or slow as you'd like it to be.

when you said you ran from morroco to china I had to read that a few times I understand what the hell you meant.

Realistically though, what could they do to shorten the walk? have like a moving sidewalk?

ALRIGHT so I think it's time we moved past the pictures here.. Bill you did a fantastic job with them and I agree that this Kevin needs to do some explaining but let's get back to the actual park. I was thinking about it, from those extraordinary pictures it seems that Americana was alot like Coney Island, I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but if this is so why didn't Americana continue to carry on and Coney does? I mean seems like Americana even had some more rides than coney does. Just trying to figure this out here..

yes! as a current employee of the park even I agree with you. thats something that has always bothered me. I think interdepartmental supervisors could even help control that a little more as well.
