Its amazing how much the special effects have changed since the filming of that video. Nowadays, the eyes of the giant goddess hardly even light up at all, and they had at least three different colors in the video. The "anger" effect with the black lights is almost non-existent, and one of the riders mentioned sparks, which are no longer present either. The "unlocking of the tomb" consists of nothing more than a spotlight on the door, and the paper flames seem to only work every once in a while. Even the pre-ride video is showing some ware and tear. The only effect that does seem to work better than when Tomb Raider opened is the fog that is made when the tomb opens. I hope Italian Job doesn't have the same fate as Tomb Raider.

In Random History Facts in the Misc. section of Park History, it states that the Kings Island property used to consist of 1600 acres. As far as I know, the park now covers 700 acres, with 365 of those actually being used. Why were 900 acres of land sold, when were they sold, and were there ever plans to use that much land?

A Flying Super Saturator by Setpoint costs roughly $4 million, which may or may not include the water systems needed for the ride. (This is possibly the "hardware" mentioned on RollerCoasterDataBase) While I wouldn't mind if PKI got one of these rides, I do wish some work would be done on guest throughput.

Free refils think about. Like the park would do that lol and turn down the money. It would be cool though.

yea right on, people can feel however they want about a ride. That is the whole point of a forum. Adventure Express is still a good ride i think he was just refuing that it could use some sprucing up to catch the eye off the public. What fun is an adventure train ride with no adventure.

really the site is great soon to be better but something that makes this site great is the people all happy park goers that are open to express thier thoghts and ideas openly. Rock On!

It's of tough choose but mine would have to be The Beast when your on it you don't feel like your even at the park anymore.

The first time i rode i did horiable like 540 it seemed nothing would go off and i even shoot the ones with the lights just nothing happened how precise is the aiming a laser would really help wink wink.

kind of off topic but not really was just thinking about the sit downrestrauntts and r theming put the to togther and thought was does wings have to do with rivertown? i.e rivertown old days, Wings and planes relativly new i don't see a picture matcing there.

I just though the monsters would be 3-D like the men and black ride at universal. The blaster seemed hard to shoot I would aim at the targets firing repeadly and nothing would happen or my score wouldn't change i got like 540 lol.

Not that i have anything wrong with the new shrip joint as as i enjoyed it at PKD last year. Before i complain let me ask a question. The favirote food of mine in the park was the chicken bbq sandwich they had there, do they have it someplace else in the park? I can see why the closed it down hardly anyone ever went there. Is thier anyone that can answer my question? or feels the same way?

Due to a visit to family out of state this was my first visit this year. I got to the park at about 10:30. I was plannig to enjoy the gold pass ERT iin Action Zone but my loser friend didn't won't to wake up and he was my trip there. When we got to the park my first ride off the year was delerium and after a near walk on line we were on the ride. I was not expecting the ride to be ner as good as it was but dang it was fast. According to the chart 76 mph! faster than must coasters in the park. We then headed over to Top Gun a great ride one of the best in the park since it rarly has a line. On the way out we walked by right by SOB becouse the line was long for their only being one train operating. Next we headed to face off and walked on to the front seat. Headed over to cney mall riding Adventure Express one the way. We then rode racer forwards and someone vomited causing staff confusion and a small delay. Sitting in the tunnel waiting my back was covered in drips of water from somthing? We then went to the arcade an played some DDR and I tried out that new sord game . Rode Flight of Fear with a small wait and then headed to Vortex wich is when a kid stood up out of his restraints quite freaky. rode The Beast didnt seem to notice the breaks or maybe just became use to them. Went back rode some more ride. Before leaving i rode scooby doo quite dissapointed as expecting more. Then heard and annoucment saying the park was closing at 8:00 but thinking it closed at nine. Until they made another mistake saying it was an error and the park closed out 9:00. So went and rode TR then headed home.
