  1. I second what Ryan said.....THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! Despite the cold and a little dampness, it was a great time. I am so grateful for everyone's assistance, enthusiasm and positive attitude. The day wouldn't have been as successful without you. PKIC rocks!!! Maureen
  2. PKIC friends, Maureen here.....I want to make sure you know that you can come even for a little while. You certainly don't need to stay the entire time! Come for a handful of rides or stay all day - you are always welcome!! Happy Monday!
  3. This is why I love PKIC. Much of this blurb is incorrect and I'm not sure where the scoop came from since it didn't come from my office!!!! Anyway...this is what I sent (and FYI): I just wanted to give you the heads up on some errors in this blurb so we can correct them online. We have two parks - Paramount's Kings Island and Crocodile Dundee’s Boomerang Bay Water Park Resort. A ticket does permit access to both areas of the park. We are not closed June 6. Our gates and attractions open/start at 10 a.m. Our parking lot opens at 9 a.m. We no longer have Hanna Barbera Land. The entire area is called Nickelodeon Universe. I’m attaching a release which you should have also receive last week from Bill Mefford. Single day tickets are $44.99 at the gate or $34.99 online at www.pki.com or at Meijers, Krogers or Speedway. Parking is $10. Premier parking is $15. Have a great day!
  4. Today's National Geographic shoot was fantastic!! The volunteers who attended were riding warriors - WOW!! I hope to see even more PKI Central folks tomorrow. Be there or be square! 1 p.m. Security Post 3 Enter through South Tolls. Happy riding, PKImaureen
  5. Oh sure.....make fun of the messenger. HAHA! I deserve it!!! Sometimes I wonder if my head is attached!! I suppose that's what we get for moving so fast. Thanks so much for your participation today.....and tomorrow. I know it was very short notice, and our corporate advertising team thanks you for your patience and willingness to help. For those keeping score at home, we are also hosting a National Geographic shoot on Sept. 28 and 29. We will film on the 28th from 8:30 - 4 p.m. and on the 29th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Both days will feature Son of Beast, Flight of Fear and possibly Top Gun. Please note that the ZEPHYR will not be shot on either day. If you are interested, please meet us 30 minutes before the scheduled shoot time at Security Post 3. Please wear brightly colored tops and shorts or jeans. No logos or hats, please. Lunch will be provided. Email me (maureen.kaiser@paramountparks.com) if you're interested. I would love for you to join us, and we've already logged many great volunteers. The more the merrier. FYI, National Geographic is spotlighting LIM launch coasters, as well as the engineering/construction marvel that is SoB. We will be filming all day Tuesday on IJ, but we don't need any riders for that. Should be a fantastic segment. Thanks again, PKIC! You rock. PKImaureen
  6. I forgot to mention being on the Viking Fury and yelling "Tastes Great!" and "Less Filling!" as each side went up. Do people even know what this refers to anymore?! Happy days, PKImaureen
  7. - Driving my three younger brothers from Indy to PKI for a sibling trip every summer. - Standing in the parking lot staring at my brother in disbelief as he revealed he had lost our car keys somewhere in the park. They were finally found on The Vortex - apparently they had fallen out of his pocket and landed in the seat. That was good fortune because otherwise I might have killed my brother. haha - Hitting the Smurf ride every afternoon because of the A/C. Once we were in the boats, we knew all the lines and could talk along with the characters....when there was dialogue. Lots of laughs came from this. - Wearing the fanny pack for my family because my brothers were lame and refused to carry their own stuff. - Eating lunch at the IS LaRosas....NEVER the one in Rivertown. Ahhh, tradition. - Coming to PKI for my 8th grade class trip and riding White Water Canyon over and over. There were hardly any people in the park, so the ride ops let us stay on. And ohhhh, how lovely my big bangs and spiral perm looked after five times through!! - Standing in line for nearly three hours the summer Drop Zone opened. When we finally got on the ride, I had to laugh as I listened to my football-playing brother's labored breathing at the top. Classic!! - Collecting the little view master things with out annual picture from Keyhole Photo. I must have 10 of these! Good times. Good times. Happy days, PKImaureen

  9. We will actually go into the ride area itself and see the ride with the lights on. What the heck does that thing actually look like anyway?! Now we'll know!

  11. Hi, friends. As you can see from the Italian Chef's article, Paramount's Kings Island is still in negotiations with the Great Wolf Lodge. Nothing has been signed or finalized at this point. Our management team realizes the esteem in which the campground is held, and we want to provide the best possible experience for our guests each day. IF the new resort is built, it will offer on-site accommodations, something guests have been wanting for a while. In addition, it will provide a great opportunity for Mason-area tourism. We're looking at the future of the campground as we speak. Believe me, we take our guests' comments seriously - we would be nothing without you guys! I'll keep you posted if/when things progress!! Have a great weekend!!! PKImaureen

We were all so happy you could hang out with us for the afternoon - of course, what would a new event be without our favorite PKI Central folks?
