What's the WORST amusement park comercial you've ever seen?
FaceofBeast, you should probably resize or delete the picture in your signature, before the mods do. Your sig is huge.

Beast Getting Redisigned Entrance
...not as much as the new one...One big difference is that on the old sign, the chain that holds onto "Beast" is 2-D if not very slightly raised. On the new sign, the whole chain area holding "Beast" is completely sculpted and raised from the back ground, it looks like real chain.

Cedar Point Closing Day.
At least one of us here, has had to keep guests away from a black rat-snake in the middle of the Coney Mall, and help move the creature off of the midway...

Vortex Centrifugal Force
That force that pushes you into the restraint would push you further without the restraint. If you push into the restraint any, there is the ability to push out further were the restraint not there. I do not know the exact time pushing out on the restraint, but it would be enough I am fairly certain to allow one to not remain in seated position if there was no restraint. You may be right, I have not heard the "you won't fall out" idea from anyone who has stated that they design the things or are in charge of certifying them. So please, do not take my statements to be insulting, I simply have not heard (or remember) your explanation from another person, and must compare it to what I have heard over the years. Does anyone here have any light on this idea?

Vortex Centrifugal Force
Really? Please explain what you would do in the corkscrew in the front rows? Or even in the back rows? Feel like you are going to fall out but you wouldn't.... Have you ever noticed that sometimes there are coins that have fallen out of peoples' pockets on the floor of The Vortex trains? They are not restrained and they do not fall out....... Actually those coins typically get caught on something which keeps them from falling out, or they work out of your pocket sideways (They can not just drop) and sit on peoples shirts, and when they get up in the station the coins fall to the floor. Many times coins do fall out, the few that stay in the cars are an anomaly, especially if they fell out before the corkscrew. They just get caught on something, the same way we get caught on the restraint!

What's Up On The Island?
That was Top Gun if I remember correctly. Flight Commander had a "flaw" in the design... more or less that's the case. No, wrong, Drunk female on Flight Commander fell out when not properly utilizing the restraint. Person had a heart attack on Top Gun years ago.

Disney in 2012
I am sharing this simply because I love the way Mr. Munarriz writes his pieces, and his in-depth coverage of the amusement industry in the markets from time to time. He always presents some interesting humorous takes on the various amusement companies. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2009...ey-in-2012.aspx

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I, and others, would like to know where it is on this board, that you heard that it was done to save money. And where was it said by a park spokesperson, or other source who may even be remotely close to the park and its decision makers? The point was not that you said it was done to save money, it is that you said you had "learned" that it was, and not just that, but you "learned" that it was "more important to save money than satisfy people". That is a simply false statement, as you can not prove it, and stated it as such. I looked through the threads, and only in a very few instances did any members here even joke that the move was to save money, and perhaps none of them were close to the decision. Yet you now even state that you have heard it on this board, and that some people here have "credibility", the problem is you have credibility through being involved in what you speak of, that is how you acquire credibility. One person on here is credible in one subject while being not credible in others. Anyone on here who blatantly, once again the keyword is blatantly, states as a fact that the decision was made for reasons other than the park intended is certainly not credible. Especially when said person even communicated with a park official and was told why the decision was made. It is one thing to state that idea as an opinion of why the move was made, and another thing entirely to pull your facts out of thin air. If you are going to say on here for the second time in less than a week when being questioned, that "You have read it many times" than please show the membership here where you "read" your information, because the rest of us here are not seeing what your "all-seeing eyes" have seen. The majority of us on here have only been irritable, towards you, because you fail to put much careful thought into your posts. You are not the only one, but the most prevalent one as you post on here non-stop, that's not a crime but it makes you appear more immature than others. I was not yelling in the previous post, I was emphasizing important items in the post, I for one am sorry you took it that way. Not a single person here wants to have to criticize you, but you continue to make false claims and somewhat broadcast your own credibility to anyone who will listen. I for one want to see you succeed, in life and when posting. Everyone here would like to be your friend, we are all on this site for a reason, we all love Kings Island. You like coasters and profess your knowledge of them, but you also profess your knowledge on everything else, when you would be more apt to listening, and reading others' posts in those topics who are knowledgeable and credible in those areas. It would only aid you in not coming under attack by so many on here. I and others on here are not trying to yell, we are trying to help you learn, but it seems seldom that you take the initiative to listen to many on here who are credible in their fields. We have, marketing majors, investment bankers, architects, engineers, writers, movie directors, scare professionals, doctors, and lawyers. You can tell what people do by how and what they write about. If you read carefully, as so many on here do, you can learn a lot. I know I have learned much from the wisdom of certain people on this forum. Just take the time Beast1979, we really do want you to succeed!

UPDATE: Six Flagging
I just love how some people who think they can write well, also think they can run a company well, or fight a war better, or lay off less people, or fix all of the economy's issues. There is a place for investigative journalism, but sometimes this opinionated investigative journalism just gets in the way. Usually the people who can write well, and think they can do all of the things I have listed, have actually done these things before....Colin Powell, Mike Ditka, Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch, in no particular order or relevance. What has this Dave McKenna done? He doesn't pen the other side of Six Flag's Story.
-
UPDATE: Six Flagging
Funny, the author pins all of Six Flags troubles on Snyder who has yet to see Six Flags through even a 5 year plan after all the trouble that was left to him under the Story regime. The author says nothing of Story, but trashes Snyder who seems to be at least helping to right his ship, I don't get it.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
You, ABSOLUTELY do not know that they are saving money with this decision. You learned nothing. Quit making broad claims on here if you do not know what you speak of. Don said in his e-mail to you that the decision was made to give pass holders greater options than just a one day deal. I assure you, the decision to allow ERT every day, is not a small one, and takes some sound planning to go off right ever day. You do not know that the park is "saving money and overruling other's satisfactions". YOU do NOT know that is a fact, you don't, plain and simple. And if you do not know anything of the sort, then do not post it. That is as simple as anyone can be with you. That daily ERT is going to satisfy pass-holders much, much more than one day. You astound me, do you post things that you don't know to be true or can't back up just to see your post count go higher? Once again if you cannot provide substantive arguments and keep making attempts to skew the will of the park and its spokespersons, then why post? This is getting really old.

First Opportunity to Ride Diamondback
Everyone does need to take a step back from the ledge. This is a ride we are talking about, that's it. Everyone here is entitled to a ride, when Kings Island says that they can ride. That is all there is to it. Until then, be glad you have Kings Island in the first place and such a great ride coming to town in the form of Diamondback. It really is not much to ask to wait a day. Sit back, relax and enjoy the chance when you finally get to ride.

What's the WORST amusement park comercial you've ever seen?
They did the same one for Kings Island this past year. I absolutely can not stand that commercial. The description the guy gives of the heat makes me cringe, like fingers on a chalkboard.
