Wow, I didn't think they would do much more than remove the mountain and Paramount! I never would have thought they would chop off half the sign!

FOR SALE: Geauga Lake Woodies
Raptor66 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'll buy them..... -
Wow, they are bookin' it!

Yes but we could have some other really great, dare I say it, better rides. Didn't Kinzel want to buy KI back in 1992? I heard he did, but Cedar Fair couldn't afford it. We could've had Halloween Haunt this entire time we had Fear Fest, as that was a Cedar Fair thing, started at Knott's Berry Farm. Yes, Paramount did add some great rides, but I think they hurt the general atmosphere at the park. And I miss my Flying Eagles.
-
It also refers to Vallyfair, but is that the flagship park? no...... but that is besides the point. I would be surprised if KI became the flagship park. At least for a while......

I dunno. 800,000 feet seems pretty high.

^I did that once! Although The bus driver was kind enough to wait for me to wake up and drive me home. I think that was like 8th or 9th grade. lol

http://www.draytonmanor.co.uk/Apocalypse.aspx Not 400 feet but does tilt. Not to mention you ride standing up.

Hmm. I've heard it called both Oscar's and Backstage Grill, but I wasn't sure which was the real name. I guess it's Backstage, then. Or did they change it again? So then who owns Osc....er..s...umm, the employee lunchroom?
-
I answered Skyline but actually I prefer Oscars for their much farer prices. Too bad I don't work there anymore, no more $1.50 large Cokes for me....
-
Errr, nevermind, my post was just invalidated with the removal of the poll. Yeah, I agree, Skyline rules!!!

Yes come see me at the aquarium! It's a great place, I've been volunteering there for over 2 years and I still enjoy going as a guest. The zoo is great too, both are highly ranked, popular attractions, although I haven't been to the zoo in quite a while....

As has been suggested in the past, just sell the things deflated and charge to have them filled up outside the front gate. Then if they want to come back in, don't allow them to bring the ball. They'll make more money this way, too.

Wow, look at that line. I wish I was there Wednesday.

My economics teacher met her husband when they were both working at KI. She worked at King Cobra and he was a litter getter.

I live in the Dub C, uhhhh, West Chester. Well technically I live in Liberty Township, but they're one in the same. I live about 20-25 minutes away from KI.

With KI closed, what will you do until it re-opens in April?

Well I'm going to Cancun on spring break and am looking forward to some great scuba diving! -
How sad. With both marching band ending and the off-season arriving, I'm gonna have nothing to do! Hopefully I'll be able to go tonight.

1. Cedar Point 2. Kings Island 3. Six Flags Great Adventure 4. Disney World 5. Universal Studios 6. Lesourdsville Lake Those are all the parks I've been to. I don't even remember Lesourdsville Lake, last time I was there was when I was a baby, hence why it is last.

How unfortunate. It looks like an awesome ride. -
