uhm well according to that article viacom which also runs paramount picutres is building the park...Paramount Parks however when Viacom split into two companies Viacome Corp and CBS Corp went to the latter(CBS), which has ownership of the tv networks such as CBS Televison and showtime to name a couple. It did not aquire paramount pictures as that was retained by viacome so therefore to have Paramount Parks was well not reasonable as they had no more tiest to paramount pictures so that's the main reason they sold the parks. Viacome however with having Paramount pictures/studios would make sense to build an amusement park in other parks...and this sounds more in the plans than the other 2 asia parks proposed

Alrighty well to clarify...I never said that they don't reinvest because they do. What I was trying to say is that they only put a lot of money into the park every few years I'm not sure exactly the time between there major products...Take this year for example...Turkey Whirl, I don't know how much a ride like this costs but i think it's far less than any investment that Kings Island has made in the last several years...this year 10 million, last year 10 million, the year before that with IJST probably at least 10 million, and then the revamp of the water park and a ton of other updates in the park...KI pumps 10 million plus into the park annually, not just once every 5 or 6 years or whatever it is on Holiday world...does this make more sense now with what i was trying to say???

Okay yes you do bring up a valid point with Holiday World...however look at the market they are in. They are in a very small market as they are pretty much out in the middle of nowhere and need to have something other than santa clause to draw in people to their park/area. I'm not discrediting anything that Holiday World has done as they have kinda revolutionalized the industry with being such a small park yet building such huge and awesome wooden coasters. It's been a few years since I've been and I can't wait to hopefully go back this year. Also one thing that I noticed when i went a few years ago was the horrible turnover time. This partly in fact the only have like one train running on Raven and Voyage. I was just wondering if this is still true or if they've done something to fix it and if it was just a one time thing or what??? And how many trains do they run on Voyage...I can't wait to ride that. Also one other point Holiday world for the most part doesn't put the money into there park as much as other "major" parks do as well for one like I said they are smaller market and have to cut costs in some area's i.e. food, beverage and parking, to help draw a crowd. Holiday World/Splashin Safari though has done a great job at over coming their small park status and building some absolutely amazing woodie coasters...they're keeping woodie's alive cheers, nick

I have no idea if it's been true in the past but bucher was saying we've done that recently and we in fact have not

May not do it anymore but they sure did it before. He was with our church group and I was there when they handed him the sig stuffed animal and told him to walk around the park with it! I remember it clearly because I was hoping he didn't want me to do it cause it was hot that day!! hehe Oh, and when we worked with our church group we wore tan pants and a white, or blue, shirt. We had no official park uniforms or nametags. uhm well i've been working there for 8 years now and we've never done anything like that

we do not tell our associates to walk around acting like they won...the only thing we would have them do is walk around the front of their game in full uniform carrying a prize trying to sell the game. We do not tell them to walk around the park with prizes that would just be wrong, and deceiving and we do not do that
