I have heard that this past december, cobra was moved from the woods and the trains removed from FOF bowl. Is this true and if so does anyone know where it went?

You wouldn't know where to see pics of spy pilot rotting would you. I know that on here there are pics of cobra.

I never got to ride it. I didn't know that Kings Dominon had one too. I just wondered it they sold it to someone or if it was just scrapped. Was there a dome over your head or was it opened. The pics I found of sky pilot looks like it was enclosed.

Wasn't it dismantled in 1995 or 96?

As a side question. Are there any intamin flight trainers left in operation? What happened to KI's flight commander?

I never rode it before the accident last year. I won't ride a ride that goes upside down that doesn't have otsr. I rode it on 7-7 in the very back of the blue train. It was horrible. I thought it got worse after the new section of track and the final helix. It shook the crap out of me. My neck was still sore the next day. Tear it down and put in something better from B&M

I did notice that the ride op's where much happier this year. Made the ride experiences much better.

I'd be madder then a fire ant if they left me on the ride and didn't bring me some fluids or something.

i would recommend staying in a hotel in kentucky. Florence has cheap but nice rooms.

If they were to remove the OTSR then I believe that the ridership would go down. I know that I would no longer ride Vortex if they took them off. That would make me feel less safe it I was to get stuck upside down.

Well then I wonder why they didn't just start letting people off since they were not very far up the lift instead of leaving them in the sun.

The tower in red, white, and blue was really neat.

I hope I'm not on your car then. Yeah same here. Exspecially not on a hot day. Just think, you would have to sit in the car until the ride was working again and then finish the ride. They just couldn't let them off because there is not a way to release the buzz bars if I'm correct.

I wouldn't think that KI would take it down unless it becomes a pain to maintain or parts are unavalible for it, a la KC. Also, i don't think a park would want to invest money in buying a coaster that is 20 years old. With the money it would take to dismantle, transport and then reinstall you could probably buy a new coaster. And I believe that Arrow built The Vortex based on the terrain that it sits on so another site maybe out of the question.

My wife and I got a cheese burger and fries each and split a refillable drink and it was 24 bucks. Not horrible considering the size of the burger and where we were.

Yeah the blue looks great....when its stuck on the lift hill. I rode in the back seat of the blue car on saturday night and it was a nightmare. Luckly, I wasn't on it when it got stuck.

The coupon expried sunday. I don't know how my customer got them. But I saw a ton of people at the park with them. It was orange and had Firehawk on the top of the page. I wish i could help more but that is all i know.

I love it. Its one of my favorites now. I got to ride it on 7-7. I just wish the chain was quiter since it is right in your ear but i know that is something that you have to live with.

The tickets for my wife and I were 24.95 each. I got a coupon from one of my customers that I did some work for. That was great.
