yea, the first time i rode the crypt this year my jaw dropped and i froze in shock when i saw what they had done to it.

I remember when there was water under The Beast queue line. I loved spitting in it and watching the carp go nuts over my lugee.
what a lovely story.

Last year the cars were stored inside FOF, this year the back row of tomb raider was stored instead. I have no idea where they stored King Cobra cars for this year.
i thought they removed the front row, not the back.

I don't know if SoB would be considered a "Hyper"
I wouldn't always trust wiki, not always reliable, but a good place to start. Hyper is coined by the first company to break the 200ft barrier, Arrow. Other companies refer to Hypers as Mega coasters, Hyper is really like calling facial tissue kleenex. But I think the key is being over 200ft but less than 300ft and it can have an out and back, twister or combination layout. So I believe Hyper is a classification and the layout does not matter.
Afterall what would you call Steel Phantom/Phantoms Revenge? I would say Hyper but I think that is more debateable than SoB, which by my classification is a Hyper Woodie.
and in every article i have read on Son of Beast it is referred to as a hyper woodie, i have never heard it called a mega woodie.
-
will all of the track be up by the 31st?
-
i thought the true classification of a hyper was has a lift hill between the heights of 200-299 ft.
and besides you can't trust wikipedia.
-
And KI is the ONLY park in the world to have both, a hyper woodie(SOB) AND a hyper steel(DB).
I think that was mentioned before, but for new members, there you go.
ki is the only park in the world that has a hyper woodie.

4?
I count BLSC and D-Back, am I missing something?
I suspect coaster_junky is counting Wild Thornberrys River Adventure and Congo Falls.
you are correct terpy

so when Diamondback is finished will Kings Island hold the record for most rides with splash downs in a single park, or is there a park with more than 4?
-
only four more supports to go on final helix.
-
The train is certainly going to have a lively beginning next year with Diamondback roaring by and above the tracks!
it would be amazing if they would make an extra stop in the first turn, by the bottom of the first drop of Diamondback, sorta like on the river boat thingy at Cedar Point that slows down to see top thrill launch and run the course.

I hope we get a Christmas update from Don!
i honestly hope that the construction workers get christmas off, i know that they are on a tight schedule, but i think they should have it off.
-
is the storage track going to be an inclosed barn like Vortex's, or all out side like Son of Beast?
-
^Full details should be announced soon, but do not fret, you will be able to bring your parents along....even if they are not members.
thats great because i can't drive yet.
-
so i have a question about ticket sales,
can members of the site only buy tickets? because my mom and/or dad would have to take me, and neither of them have membership here.

^ i love riding in the second row on top thrill dragster, when right after the launch you hit the steam coming off the launch cable.
-
am i the only one that is bugged by the fact that the two sides of the station roof are completely different lengths?
-
^i still have to drive to another state to go to an amusment park, unless i have the urge to drive 3 hours away to go to sfkk, or just drive 1 hour across the river to Kings Island.
-
i really hope i can make it to this one, because i like angrybeaver have made it to a wopping zero of the first to events.

MCBR is a blocking system that has the power to stop the train all they way if needed. A Trim i just to reduce speed, causing lower G's (on most cases), a trim can't stop the train, it just slows it down a mph. or two.
the one on mean streak's first drop almost brings the train to a complete stop.
King Cobras trains arrive at Kings Dominion
in Kings Island
