you really need to give Son of Beast and the crypt(tomb raider) another chance. Son of Beast is alot smoother than it was and the crypt, for the time it ran last year, was running alot better imo exept that they had taken alot of the things the ride did out like when it holds you upside down

it would be tough to hide a roller coaster on swan lake like they did maverick, because maverick was built in an area that was sorta hidden unlike swan lake that has a main path that runs along side it

I agree with you completely, It is very seldom when either visiting or working at the park that I ever hear a guest call a ride by its given name. They always want to know what the grey and red one is. Or where they can find The Racer(s). Of course Monster is almost always the spider, and Vortex is usually "that one" (points to the sky above BSC's plaza). i have never heard monster called the spider. i always hear people call it the octopus and does top gun/ flight deck even have a sign?

yes i aggree that Drop Tower was a horrid name but look at Cedar Point, alot of there flat rides have the names the manufactures gave them. for example troika, and matterhorn

i am not sure if this is a rumor but since i have never read anything about it i'm guessing that it is. one day soon after ttd was opened they were running test runs over and over to see if it was running properly and it did and when they opened it up to the public that day the first train sent out got up to the top of the top hat and the train split and the first three cars made it over then the last two cars and the fake engine rolled backwards down the top hat

one time i was riding Invertigo(wow that fells weird typing that) and some lady told me if you die on a ride they give you the park and life time season passes

Seriously. How often do you hear people raving about how much they love the banana splits, lol. The enchanted voyage left because smurfs were more popular at the time. The Smurfs left because the park wanted to remove the water powered boat ride and replace it with a haunted theater. Phantom Theater left because scooby doo was more popular. Eventually scooby doo will be replaced by... my dad always talks about banana splits. and i hope the haunted castle leaves soon just because whenever i rode it last year the ride would shut down mid-corse and a seiren would sound.

one way this is ture is that retraints on majority of roller coasters are locked into place with a locking claw not hydrolic fluid
