Longest You've Been Stuck On A Ride & What Ride
coaster_junky replied to WooferBearATL's topic in KI Polls
i have only been stuck on two rides 1) Adventure Express for about two or three minutes 2) the italian job for about five minutes i am pretty sure that nether was because of block breaks because, on Adventure Express they were only running two trains and because on the italian job there can be a train in the loading station, one in the unloading station, and one right behind the one in the unloading station and we were stuck where the helicopter shoots at you. -
i hate dial-up it just sucks

The last thing SoB needs is a 3rd train. Even when SoB first opened and the majority of the known World did not know SoB was like going through traction, it only ran 2 trains. Why would it need a 3rd now if it didn't need it then? 1) increase capacity 2) make line shorter 3) there will always be a train in the station insted of waiting 30 sec. for the next train to enter and besides the run time on the old Son of Beast was shorter than it is with the new trains

that's it and i didn't even know this park existed until i heard of kingda ka

Nobody's saying Woho! after riding the back of The Beast! i do just because the roughness reminds me of the old Son of Beast

Could Son of Beast Accident Been Avoided?
coaster_junky replied to coaster_junky's topic in Kings Island
yes, but the supports determines if it is a hybrid or not Perhaps in your world. That is NOT the industry definition. Gemini is steel, Adventure Express is steel, Villian is wood, the Coney Island Cyclone is wood (you would apparently call it a hyper...along with Villian). why would i call them a hyper? none of them are over 200' tall -
well we have two rides that's name's end with beast. do you think that is silly?
-
that is the only part of the ride i like. and your right i always think i am going to slam intothe support right by the begaining of the break run
-
o.k. i look at the ride this way it isn't worth the walk because you walk for a mile to rest for 20 seconds

Could Son of Beast Accident Been Avoided?

yes, along with gemini, voyage, hades, and cedar creek mine ride. just to name a few -
Are you predicting something, or are you just trying to scare me? I would guess that would be an easy retheme nope it's new name is going to be "Waste of a Walk" no, it's going to be named "coaster junky can't apreciate a perfectly good ride" i can't wait until we have a snoopy themed kiddie land insted of seeing dora all over the place Tell me about it. I remember during the summer they would make announcements over the intercoms ALL OVER THE PARK saying " Hi, I'm dora! Remember to come to the Children's Theater to watch me play with the Dancing Chicken!" UGH! i would most likely apreciate the ride more if it was longer and had a shorter walk back to it

i loved the dancing kitties

i thought that the safari was something new that the park put in with kingda ka, but i don't pay that much attention to Six Flags Great Adventure to have known that

but you have to keep in mind that it is still a new attraction. it's only two years old and more people want to go do something when it is "young" take Firehawk when it openned or even Son of Beast but then after time less and less people want to take part in the ride or attraction forget what i said because when i read this post i was thinking about the money intake to up keep this attraction

Could Son of Beast Accident Been Avoided?
coaster_junky replied to coaster_junky's topic in Kings Island
that might be true about italian job, but the year that they removed the sixth car from the trains on Son of Beast was in '06 and in '06 all of the wooden coasters at ki exept for Son of Beast had seat belts and so did the wooden rides at Cedar Point. so they were at least a wide spread option in ohio -

well what does that have to do anything. besides almost every ride a Cedar Point has seat belts and they were not built with them -

wouldn't it have been easier to add seat belts to the five car train? -
but still you would think it would at least somewhat follow the first lay out expecialy with the main parts like the helix for example and the first turn after the drop

that is what i heard they added weight by putting the boxes under your feet and if they did it to fit the guest properly under the restraints they failed because they just pinned you more up under the restraint -
o.k. that out of the way, was that really how The Beast was suppost to look or did they just make it that inacurate?
