  1. Don't try to cross the border if you have a criminal background. I've had co-workers turned away for just that reason. Also, passport processing has gotten much better since the initial rush of people getting them last year. This is no guarantee but My wife's and kids passports were turned around (February) in about 2 and 1/2 weeks.
  2. Fortunately most but not all employees were letting people wearing Fanny Packs on the rides. For me I only bring car keys, money and a cell phone into the park. Everything else is in the car.
  3. She is about 6 months old
  4. And after the TON work that was poured into it, what do they have?? A fenced vacant lot with a pile of gravel.
  5. My family and I will be visiting Dollywood for the first time next week. Does anyone have some suggestions, or hints for first timers at the park? Our family consists of 2 adults, one 48" tall boy, and a 40" tall girl. Thanks in advance.
  6. 5 total. 2 Adopted Muts 1 Adopted Cat 1 Adopted Turtle and 1 Bearded Dragon
  7. Using the current pricing for Six Flags Great America. Individual Season pass $89.99. Parking pass Add on $65 That is $154.99...
  8. I guess I don't mind the walk when the food is so overpriced, why would I want to pay $5 more to park in a special zone? My kids can walk too, they don't know we used to have trams. CP has never had trams. Thx for letting me know. If you want over priced parking come on over to SFGam General parking = $25 Value parking $15 for the overflow lot
  9. A quick trip out to SFGam in celebration of my son reaching 48" with his new shoes. After riding Viper a couple of times (yea!), American Eagle (boo!), Ragin Cajun, and a bunch of flats, the Dark night finally opened at 1:30. Since it had been down for the day, we only had about a 20 minute wait. The queue area is still on the slanted floor of the previous theater. i.e. slanted to one side the whole time. We went in to a room to see a quick movie, and we were thinking that things were looking pretty disney-esque. Hopping into the ride itself, we dissapearred into the dark. From this point on the ride went down hill in more than one way. With the wild mouse layout of going back and forth, I could see the scenes for the whole ride. The various special affects were all meshed together which gave off too much light. You could see too much of what was going on. Unfortunately the ride excitement was lacking too. After the ride, before I said anything I asked my son what he thought of the ride His response "eh. lets go ride viper and the Wizzer." After further prodding, he said that he expected more things jumping out at him. I guess he really wanted a dark ride. Edit - oops fat finger the post button

  11. I don't think that it had an effect on attendance out of the immedicate area of SFKK. I'd venture to say that not many going to SFOG could tell you that the incident even occured. I thought that Six Flags stated in their Investor Conference call that it did affect attendance chain wide. You know people hear about an accident at Six Flags and just think about their local Six Flags.
  12. I wouldn't worry about the age. My son has been riding Demon at SFGam since he was 6. It's height requirement is only 42 inch, but it has a very similar restraint system to Vortex. This year he is FINALLY 48 inches tall so we can enjoy even more rides together
  13. The kiddie coaster at Fantasy Farm!
  14. Yeah, Rivertown was great, and KCKC was an awesome water ride. I use to ride it over and over every time I came to KI. In fact, I miss the look of alot of things in the park. But as time goes on, everything changes. The main things I wish they would bring back is KCKC, The Bat, The scenery for the train ride, Enchanted Voyage, and the H-B Characters. If them things were added into what the park is today the park would be awesome. It is now, don't get me wrong, but it would be alot better. I for one, while missing KCKC am glad that they chose to keep the er Wild Thorberies. While having a smaller drop, it does have a better layout and character. As a kid I enjoyed it more. Think about it, KI had two very similar rides that were in need of refurbishment in the same section of the park. Neither of which had been popular in a while. I think it made sense to refurbish one and replace the other. Now what they replaced it with is another discussion alltogether.
  15. I drove by Key Lime last week. It has a very unique color scheme and definitely sticks out from the rest of the hotels in that area. I might have to bring the kids sometime this year.
