This is exactly what we did twice this last weekend, and it worked out great. Too bad TTD is not open early though.

Great trip report. It looks like you and your boys had a very good time. Its good to have two boys that are big enough to go on the big coasters. I'm still waiting for my six year old to hit a growth spurt.

Aww man. This was the date for my family's first trip to Kings Island this year.

Cedar Point vs. Magic Mountain
luff replied to KI Kevin's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I went to Magic Mountain this February, but haven't been to Cedar Point in 3 years. My advice is go to both. They are both unique and fun. Magic mountain has X2, Tatsu and a terrain to make a rather slow coaster like Ninja a fun ride. Cedar Point has Millennium Force, TTD and a great location on the lake. I'll be at CP in July to refresh my memory and ride Maverick for the first time. -
Before the accident, you could keep the pod upside down for most of the ride (fun). After the seat mods, the pods could only barrel roll and not stay upside down.

How about top 5 that I will ride this year. 1) X2 - Done in February. 2) Diamondback - KI trip in August 3) Top Thrill Dragster - I seriously don't like to wait in the huge lines, so I have skipped this one so far. Hopefully in July 4) Maverick - July 5) Tatsu - Another good one that broke my sunglasses

My son got caught in the ride height change too. One year you can ride it and the next year it is unsafe at certain parks. Of course he could ride the local Arrow looping coaster at 42" tall.

Favorite Kings island family kiddsy coaster from nick universe

Although Fairly Odd Beastie Doo is a fun coaster, I voted for Runaway Reptar due to its unique style in a kids ride. -
Former Hard Rock Park has a new name

I was at a buffet last week where they charged the kids by their height, not age. -

Mmmm Friendly's Reese's Pieces Sundae. Now you have got me hungry. I haven't been to a Friendly's in 15 years. P.S. Great job on the 25 lbs! -
1. Disneyworld (a step above the rest) 2. Kings Island 3. Dollywood 4. Cedar Point 5. Holiday World

Boy I feel left out. I won't be going until the week of August 8th!

Going To SFGAm Any Time Soon? Beware
luff replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
By my workplace they just turned off one red light camera for public outrage. It collected over $1 million from November to January. Over 95% were for not coming to a complete stop on a right turn on red. -
MMM Culvers. Butter Burgers, Cheese curds, Frozen Custard. All things that are bad for you, but taste great.

Your drinking around the world reminded me that EPCOT = Every Person Comes Out Tipsy

I think the uniqueness of Sidewinder is what makes it special. The ride isn't very thrilling, but the smaller kids can go on it too.

Boy I feel old. Racer Scoob er Beastie er Fairly Odd Coaster

Cool Keep the updates coming. The nemo show was surprisingly good. They purposely don't try to hide the puppeteers.

My first was Magic Mountain at Gardaland Italy when it opened. I paid to ride it in the AM only to find out it was free to ride after 6pm. I was too afraid to ride the Screamin Demon. In fact when The Beast first opened, I was worried in line the whole time that it went upside down. Of course my friends were all adding to that fear.

Dollywood is full of quirky rides. I am not a big spin and barf ride guy, but my son made me go on dizzy disk and I loved it. Dont forget to enjoy both the rides and the shows. While you can't go wrong most places there for food, don't skip over the outside stands where they grill the sausages right out in front of you.

A Bit About Pricing and The Cruise Industry
luff replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
We did that cruise for our honeymoon back in '99 There were a LOT of honeymooners on that ship. -
While walking over the swan lake bridge many years ago I thought it would be a great place for a big coaste... oh nevermind

Great video. I loved the way they taped one two or three bands around the trees to indicate which ones were to be saved. I wish a little more of that could be done with some of the more recent construction.
