Who knows? But I would venture to think that once KI has the budget (isn't working on a new ride) they may add to the Crypt. I could be completely wrong but I doubt we'll see any extensive changes right away. Maybe a few things here or there.

I have never seen a snake or really anything close to that at KI. I've barely seen so much as a squirrel. It's probably a good thing too....with as frightened as I am of snakes I probably would have caused park wide panic with my screaming.

I was definitely skeptical...but I loved it. Definitely didn't expect to, but once again I was pleasantly surprised. Being pleasantly surprised has been a trend for this year so far....

I went to the park on Sunday...had a great time! The lines were much shorter than I expected and the show I thought was really good. I think trying to mix country music with strong moments of dance has to be difficult as it is. The show could have easily not worked. However, I thought all the performers were decent. There wasn't one that stuck out as being terrible. I thought the dancing was tasteful and up to par and the singing was decent to good depending on the singer. Loved the set too. Though I enjoy country, I wouldn't say I was a fan, but I thought the show had something for everyone. I recommend seeing it. I encourage those who aren't country fans to keep an open mind and give the performers as well as the show to chance....and if you aren't going to keep an open mind...don't vote.

oh wow. Thanks. How did I not ever notice that?? How have the past shows been in the Festhaus?

So if this is in fact true that KI will be re-introducing shows into the Festhaus, how exactly will that be set up? I am aware that they have had shows there in the past, but have never personally seen any of them. The place is huge and definitely has room for a stage but where have they put it in the past? Just curious as to the logistics...especially since the Festhaus can get quite busy/noisy.

oh yeah. I agree that CF is a way safer company. I'm not even sure that DT and the SuperMan tower are at all built or run the same way...actually I'm pretty sure they aren't. But I'm not gonna lie...the whole thing just kinda freaked me out.

I was at the park the day this happened. I was with two friends. When we entered the park that morning, the tower was running. One of my friends suggested we ride it but my other friend and I just had a bad feeling about it. It was very weird. Normally, neither of us are weary of such rides, but something kept us off of it that day. We found Kentucky Kingdom itself pretty boring and ended up spending most of the day at the waterpark. We had noticed that the ride had stopped running. Then, while we were in line for the watercoaster I saw two very low flying helicopters come over the park (I'm assuming this was to rush her to the hospital)...??? I wouldn't think news would have received word this quickly. We didn't see much else until we left the park later that night. We passed the tower on the way out. Everything was blocked off and security was guarding the entrance to the ride. It wasn't until we were on our way home that we heard of the accident. Our friends called to make sure we were ok after seeing the breaking news story. VERY SCARY. I feel so bad for that girl. I really hope she has the best recovery possible. Needless to say, Drop Tower rides are nothing I want to get on any time soon.

totally agree about Kentucky Kingdom. They have a much better water park than amusement park. I went there last season....actually on the day with the whole superman power tower accident. Luckily, we found the waterpark to be much more entertaining and weren't anywhere near the thing when it happened. crazy.

ha it's ok. I figured as much...but it was worth a shot. I think I'm just getting anxious for the season to begin in general.

from the park's travel brochures.... No, I saw that. I just wasn't sure if anyone may have any inside information beyond that.

so does anyone know anything about what specific shows may becoming to the park this year?
