I have been on other coasters that had what you are calling Diamondback rattle. I would say that it is just normal wear and tear. It will be back smooth again when it gets new wheels. Millennium Force was that way on one train and not the other last time I was there.

I too must disagree with you about Intrimidator at Carowinds. To me it was almost as boring as the B&Ms over at Busch Gardens. Diamondback is a way better ride. If you haven't been to Carowinds you are going to be disappointed if you are thinking it is anything like Diamondback. Carowinds does have a cleaner park than KI. After going to Carowinds and coming back to KI last weekend it looks like a dump after seeing Carowinds.

At Coaster Stock they said to keep your expectations low.

If you wasn't on the forums back in 2000-2003 you don't know how bad it could be. If there is something you don't like the best thing to do is not respond to it.

I don't think putting rigid steel track on a structure that was designed to flex will work on any ride.

I remember someone asked to turn the trims off on Intimidator. The VP of Operations was talking off to the side and said they was crazy. The way the guy from B&M said there is no height limit sounded to me like there never was one. He was saying they will build what ever we want or what ever a park will pay for. He also said they are working on projects overseas and wasn't going into height details on them when he was saying no height limit. It sounded to me like he said there are no B&M projects going on in the USA.

Later in the night they said they plan to change park hrs to stay open till 10pm next season. Coaster Stock will be a annual event in the third week of July and want it to be a two day event. Haunt will cost more the later it gets in the season with bring a friend on slower days.

They said at Coaster Stock that the Travel Channel was at Carowinds and will be on in August.

I'm always surprised at how much walking I have to do to get to each ride. If they was low on space you would think they would be closer together.

That would be August 2011 for a new ride in 2012.

The families thing started when Paramount was looking to end their run. I think it was to make the bottom line look better by not doing big dollar rides and then dump the parks on a fool. What is happening now is the results of years of milking the parks for all they was worth.

I have been wanting to go back to KD but I looked at the room prices and decided I don't want to go back that bad.

They may need that announcement to help with pass sales in the fall. I want to hear how they plan to pay for a new ride more than what the ride will be. It has not been a year since Mr. Kinzel said they would have canceled the new coasters for this season if they had a way out of the deal.

I would guess it looks like they may come up short in the 100% pay bonuses this year. You all need to do your part and drink up.

Ride Warrior Commercials for KI on Hulu is all I have seen. I stopped paying for TV to watch around a year ago.
