CP announces maXair

Kinda like how PKI had theirs swing over... an area of dirt... -
The fog inside the station never worked the season I was on FoF's crew (2003). The fog I am talking about is inside the actual station. Directly in front of the train in the station are a ring of lights that go around the arch above the track. In front of those lights are grates. Fog used to come out of those grates, and the lights behind the grates would light up (as they still do) to make the fog glow as the train launched INTO the fog. Also at this time, the lights would dim and the "all seeing eye" above the station (that big red ball thing) would glow bright red at launch. THOSE are the effects I would like back.

Not quite: 1. The fog in the station 2. The lighting effects in the station 3. The pod people don't "float" anymore The effects in the hanger that no longer work are the lights, yes, but the station has lost many effects.

Fix FoF's effects and bring them back to how they were when it first opened, and you have a world class ride again!

About the coming in pairs thing, Premier has been doing this alot recently. Just last year they built 2 Revenge of the Mummy rides, one in FL, one in Cali

Remember, this was 4 years ago... before they added the brakes. -

Mean Streak - worse than SoB IMO. Of course, it has been 4 years since I've ridden it... MaXair - they probably have it swing up 3 extra feet, thats all. Same amount of concrete, but the computer tells the ride to swing just 3 more feet. -

Wow, that paint scheme looks IDENTICAL to Deli's one. And for those who care, MaXair's max swing height is just 3 feet taller than Deli, once again they just want the record. -
Its No Rain by Blind Melon. Such a great song. It was one of my fav songs on the QTV this year.

If you are thinking of the same "Steal my sunshine", then you are wrong about the group. I know it wasn't by Spice Girls.
-
Yeah, PKIDelirium should know all of the rules considering video at PKI. ORV's are not permitted at PKI.

They're going to love all the stuff we have in the vault just ready to break out! Why do I feel like I'm about to wet myself?

Actually, it is still november for a few more days...

I was offered a moderator position on PKIC if I bought one of those and wore it around the park one day. I turned it down politely.

As one of the original PKIC bashers due to the original layout of the site, I must say that I am impressed. It shows that you put alot of time into this site. WTG.

Don't make me call the wahambulance! I took a trip to Michigan's Adventure last summer, and PKI had MUCH better capacity than that, and MIA is a Cedar Fair park! Shivering Timbers had 2 trains, but the blocking system was so awful they had to wait until the other train got back to the helix just before the end of the ride to dispatch! Mad Mouse had several cars sitting and waiting for long periods of time before being dispatched, and had a wait to get off. Wolverine Wildcat had 1 train. And now, the award for WORST capasity on a single ride: CORKSCREW! This ride had just 1 train, and just 2 people working it TOTAL. 1 person at the controls, and another person checking ALL of the restraints. Thats right, he would check the seat on his side, then reach over and check the other side. Not only that, but on top of it all, the bar checker had to MANUALLY unlock and lock ALL of the restraints. Anyone who works Vortex (for this was the exact same trains) could tell you how much of a pain that would be, and how much of a capacity killer it would be. So stop whining, other parks are much, MUCH worse.

Well, since I worship coasterbuzz as a God, I must say I do, because JEFF PUTTZ IS TEH AWESOMEZZZ!!!

OK, so it isn't a suggestion or support, but I wanted to know if PKIC will have construction pictures of IJST during the winter, and if you will, how? It's in the middle of the park. BB pics were easy to get since it is right by the road, but IJST is small and surrounded by trees. If you will have pics, when can we expect them?
-
Even though I will truely miss scooters, I am looking forward to IJST. Scooters was my fav flat ride in the park, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for theming.

Probably the main reason we have to wait is the computer system. You know how on RCT2 and many other coaster games you can set up a block system so a train can't enter one section of track unless the next one is empty? Many coasters at PKI are like this. The problem with Racer is that it's a racing coaster. One side may be done, but to race they have to wait on the other side. If they don't race, capasity goes up, but people complain about not racing. If they race, some people will be happy, but others will complain about waiting. EDIT: And as far as I know, none of the deaths at PKI were ride operators' faults.
