  1. I was there on 3/26, which was the first time I was at the park in about six years, and it shocked me how rough Gwazi, it was borderline painful rough. And I also used the quick queue which is a really nice system they have and a very reasonable price too
  2. This article was also carried in todays issue of The Columbus Dispatch.
  3. It is a Vekoma. It was first located at Geauga Lake/Six Flags World of Adventure/Six Flags Ohio, all of its millions of names it had, as X-Flight and had a green and black paint scheme before being moved to the southern part of the state to Kings Island
  4. Not only was it horrible for compacity, it was very um uncomfortable for males how the cars were oriented as well had having really hard brakes at the end of the ride. I also only just rode it once for the credit, and never again.
  5. Even during the season the entrance was altered a couple of occasions. and included that nice 'entrance' sign above. And its very true what CoastersRZ stated, from working The Beast over the summer there were ALOT of people who got confused to where to enter the line. Some who would make it all the way up to the station through the exit before they found out that the accidently went up the exit.
  6. King Cobra and or the Flying Eagles. I had a chance to ride both of them. Though I was never even alive for it, I think it would have been a real 'interesting' experience to have ridden The Bat, even though I have heard to stories of how the ride basically tore itself apart.
  7. In 2008, from both being a part of the ACE walkback as well as working at The Beast over the summer; If you were a coaster club card carrying member you would meet infront of the old Paramount Theater, around 9ish, at which point a individual from guest relations would meet everyone at this location, take down their names and coaster club organization, as well as each individual having to present the card. an aside, I know in the past, not sure about last year the walkback allowed for a card carrying member and a guest. But after the meeting, those individuals would be escorted back to The Beast, and once the ride was ready for the day after the morning tests etc. those would be able to take the first ride(s) on The Beast before the GP arrivied. Depending on the time it was possible for those individuals to have multiple rides before the GP arrivied. I hope this cleared things up
  8. Where would Beast valley? The only place I could think of would be anywhere between the second tunnel and the second lift. The second time through the helix seems possible, but just slightly. During a morning test Beast didnt make it up the last hill from the helix into the brake run. It would have valleyed if not for the anti-rollbacks that are placed on that hill. so it was a 90% valley i guess. But to fix that situation the train had to be manually pushed up the rest of the hill were it was stuck till gravity took hold when it caught the brakes.
  9. It couldnt hurt if they kept their theaming working well, which the final tunnel/lift was better this year then in the past couple, but the unbanked turns to me flirt with the fun/painful line. and the end is really anti-climatic, much like ninja at SFMM.
  10. I didnt think that Superman at SFNE was that bad, this was also in 02 when i rode it last. I think the whole theaming is fine and all, but im much more curious into how the new trains will look and run on there
  11. I only rode saturator once, but i have to say, i can see reasons why they would be taking it out ie. compacity was terrible and more then half of the water cannons and different things don't work. Even with that I wish they would have just get the theaming to work and keep the roller coaster cause it was a unique ride
  12. It does seem amazing the extent that park guests will go to for trying to get lost articles, but what amazes me even more is that so many roller coasters now have bins and different containers for loose articles to try to prevent this, as well as those lovely 'please secure all loose articles' signs. But maybe you just need to throw some barbed wire up there to keep people out
  13. I was out at Carowinds a couple weekends ago, and out by Thunder Road, their racing wooden coaster, are all the pieces and parts to head-spin, i believe that was its name, the arrow boomerang that was at Geauga Lake. The might be pulling a nice ride teaser in the PR department, but the track ect is wide open sitting in the unused parts of their parking lot
