Does anyone know the reason why SOB was closed all day today. While exiting Top Gun I only seen one SOB train which was on the ready breaks. The station was empty. My only guess could be the other train got hung or valleyed during the ride. Anyone know what happend?

The back of any car can make for a rough ride. Since i'm a little on the taller side at 6'1'' my knees get bashed pretty bad when I sit in a backseat of a car. But my seat of choice has to be 7-1 love the feeling of getting pulled over the top of the lift, and pulled down the drop. I was a ride op on Vortex in 2001, and they were a few incidents where guests did get off with headaches and got their ears bashed pretty bad. We even had to close a few times cause someone's ear got cut open. I guess they had earrings in, and sometimes earrings are not the best to have in if you ride a coaster with OTSR. But all in all, I love Vortex and probably always will. Long Live Vortex

I'm sure everyone has heard people complain on the roughness of Vortex. I've been riding Vortex since 1987 when it was brand new, and I was only 7 years old then. I have never thought or think now that Vortex is rough. I'm 6'1'' and I always sit in seat 7-1. Why do you or do people think the ride is rough. I belive sometimes that The Beast is rough and not Vortex.

I didn't hear what they said, but on our local Fox 45 news at 10 here in dayton. They said something about PKI Open later? What does this mean if anyone knows.

I have no offical word, but I would assume it would apply to all season pass holders, even gold pass holders. You could call the park at 1-800-288-0808 and ask them. Just press 0 when the pre-recorded message comes on.

I belive they meant the First Sunday in June. They are is another reason why the park choose this day for a park sell out. If you want to know the real reason e-mail me and I'll tell you if you don't know. The park will be closed on Sunday June 1st 2003 for a park sell out.
