I will have to go with I-street because of the movie themed music (I remember when that's all the whole park ever played was just the movie themed music, any else remember that)? I would also say Rivertown, I'm a country music fan as well, so it's cool.

We do not know for sure the Antique Cars will be removed. And if they are, I heard it's only going to be temporary. I think they will close them temporary so they can remove the other track, and start construction on the New for '05 attraction. But time will tell.

I don't think his name was Nate. But I could be wrong.

I think SOB is a great ride and I think it makes PKI's coaster collection seem like no other. Yes SOB can be rough, but if you ride in the middle of each car it's not bad. I have noticed the very front of very back can make for a good ride too. I think SOB will continute to be worked on thru out the years, and it will be one of the best coasters out there.

Yes the seats sometimes do make loud noises. I'm not really what really cases it but I have heard seats make nosies in my 2 season's of working at Action FX Theater. -

Is this true? Is Days of Thunder really returning to Action Theater this year? And if so, wouldn't this cause confusion since we already have a ride called Days of Thunder? -

Anyone know what other Paramount Parks are showing in the non Sponge-Bob side this year? -
Jeff did the speils on SOB about the Fun and Saftey guidelines. I can't think of the rides manager name who did the SOB speils. Boy it seem so long ago.

My first coaster at PKI was Vortex in May of 1987. I was only 7 years old, but I feel in love with it. I still very much enjoying ride Vortex to this day.

My scariest moment was before I was an Employee at PKI in '99. I was riding Drop Zone, and we got stuck at the top for 15 minutes. But that wasn't really the scary part, the scary part was this lady sitting next to me was freaking out. Screaming trying to get out of her restraint. And to top it all off the ride ops didn't help either. They kept saying "Enjoy your view from the worlds tallest gyro drop". Like this is what you really want to hear when your stuck.

Every wood coaster at least at PKI has wheels under the track (upstop wheels). Think about it, the train would come off the track on Racer's bunny hills, and the trains on Beast would flip with all those high speed turns. Thank you. All wooden coasters have wheels under the track (up-stop wheels). If it was not for them, the train would fly off the track.

PKI at night is like a different park. Seeing the lights shinning and riding the rides at night. You just have to give it a try, you won't be sorry you did.

I remember back in 2001, I was at Action Theater driving "B" side (smash factory). I believe most of the park was down for weather (thunder storm). But action theater never closed for weather, so we running, and all of a sudden the ride went black. So I remember hitting the e-stop. It was pretty weird. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but after that we were down for awhile. When sound came and started us back up, we had to re-run all startups, and we did not re-open to close to an hour after that happened.

I'm sure everyone gets the PKI e-mail newsletter. I'm just wondering if any of you guys entered the contest to name it. And if so, what name did you choose? Thanks.

Wood: I would have to say The Beast, it's a classic rollercoaster, and even people have tired to copy it, but have not been able too for 25 years. Steel: I would have to go with Vortex, just because it still brings enjoyment to me, and also it was the first big coaster I ever rode, back in '87, when I was 7 years old.

Most limited operation days from the past what I have seen closed is as following. Backwards Racer, Scrambler, either Trokia or Scooters, Some HB rides, maybe water rides. Things like that. All major rides will be open. Most of the time they will run frontwards Racer half the day, and backwards the other half.

Actually Flight Commander was not removed because the woman died on it. Remember it did re-open. The girl died on it in 1991 and was closed for investagtion thru out the 1992 season, and re-opened in 1993, and ran thru the end of the 1995. I remember during the 1996 season they had a sign out in the grass in front of where Flight Commander was that said "Watch for a new ride DROPPING in next summer". Drop Zone was actually suspose to go there for the 1997 season, but at the last minute decieded against that.

The reason Skylab was removed from the park, was because it had too many mechinal problems. Back in 1991 the arm that would hold the ride up, mulfunctioned and it did not run the rest of the 1991 season. At the end of the 1991 season it was removed and sent over to germany to be repaired, as it was not even in the park for the 1992 season. I remember in 1992 for the 20th anniversary they had a bunch of old news paper articles in the area where Skylab was. It did however returned for the 1993 season and it opend once again in June of 1993. I belive it ran thru the 1996 season, and was SBNO during the 1997 season. I'm not really sure the exact year that it was actually removed. But I believe it was complety gone in 1998. If anyone knows the exact dates let me know. Thanks.

No today 4/3 is Dry run day/press day. The park is not open for season pass holders today. You must have a ticket to get in today. Employees were given tickets for there friends and family, and also radio stations were giving away tickets as well. Tomorrow 4/4 is sneak preview day for 2004 season pass holders. Too bad today wasn't season pass day, as the weather is going to be in the mid 50's today, tomorrow is going to be cold and it could snow.

I have to go with Days of Thunder, and 7th Portal, very good rides. I miss them both. Wish they would bring Days of Thunder back to Side B for a season that would be cool.

Are the seat belts going to go across you? Or are they just going to be attached to the lap bar, like on FOF? If they are just attached to the lap bar they shouldn't be too bad. But if they go across you, like at Cedar Point on the Mean Streak and the Blue Streak that may be bad.

Nope i'm not sure where I could find information to back it up. But Canada's Wonderland was not a Paramount park until 1994. In 1993 they were only the 4 US parks. Paramount did not purchase the other 50 percent of Canada's Wonderland at the time they branded the other 4 parks as Paramount parks. Well I have not found any offical information. But here is a link from a 1994 park map. Read the capition. Paramount Canada's Wonderland 1994 Map

Yes at Vortex we also said "Clear" before we dispatched the train out of the station. Sometimes the intercoms were so muttered it sounded like you were saying Queer. No joke.

Question? Where did you hear about the other Paramount Parks getting seat belts on the their woodies? Thanks
