  1. On a side note, Shoot the Rapids is looking real good, and the park seemed like it was in good condition. I went to Midway Market, which is a $13 buffet that has a fairly large variety. I recommend it. Also I recommend getting a Souvenir Cup. I already have my money's worth.
  2. 30 minutes? I went before school let out on a Wednesday after school, and was able to get 14 rides in within about an hour and a half. Then I went after school on a Wednesday in September and got 21 rides in 2 hours. It will be very empty, maybe there will be a few schools there but still.
  3. I believe there was one on opening day this year, along with a parking garage rollback too. I enjoyed opening weekend, but I think in future years I'll go the second weekend. Hopefully it will be less crowded. Maverick, Dragster, and Millennium Force were pretty consistently over an hour on Saturday, unless you were really lucky. It was the first time I'd ever seen Magnum with switchbacks open, and Corksrew had a 45 minute wait. On top of that, I feel that there was a considerable amount of downtime (particularly in the Intamins). If I remember correctly, all 4 had downtime over the weekend, some more than others (Wicked Twister). In fact, there was a point yesterday when we hadn't ridden anything near the front of the park to check out those rides. Raptor? Closed. Wicked Twister? Closed (for most of the day, the attendant said). Chaos? Closed, the cars are completely gone. The attendant at Wicked Twister told me that Chaos is completely unoperational, which means it's probably gone. Disaster Transport? Closed. Even the Johnny Rockets took about an hour to get our food. AND we had heard from a few people that had come from Dragster telling us that it was closed too. That was just in one given period of time. Around 4-5, I think. Also, I had gone to Magnum at point in the day, only to be rejected by the "THIS RIDE IS CURRENTLY DOWN DUE TO MAINTENENCE" sign. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but I'd like to have seen a bit better operations. I understand that it's opening day, but it's unacceptable to have 5 rides down, let alone four in one section of the park alone.
  4. Still, I've never had a rollback on ANY ride, it didn't even occur to me that I would even have the slightest CHANCE of getting a rollback on anything besides TTD til I looked up and the train I could have been on was rolling backwards down the hill. Plus I was already in a bad mood since they opening of the ride was extremely delayed. It didn't open til about 9:45, while Millie had been running most of ERT.
  5. Argh, I told my friend and dad, "I'm serious this is the best time to get a rollback," but they got me to ride Maverick instead. This morning I went to Maverick first, and we were the 10th people in line. So we could have been on the first train, but decided to wait for the front and got on the 5th. What happened first train (that we could have been on)? ROLLBACK ON MAVERICK. I was pretty upset.
  6. 1. Beast at night 2. Diamondback 3. Beast during the day
  7. I remember noticing those to the right a few weeks ago (and I thought they were new then), over by Girl Space, not in front of the fountains. I suppose they moved them.
  8. I LOVE THIS PARK! Griffon is an absolute blast. And IMO Big Bad Wolf is fun but out of their coasters I'd choose it to leave. I agree about Alpie. You really can't ride that twice in a row, you almost get a queesy feeling after riding. It's extremely intense. I also wasn't expecting LNM to be that great but it was the best Arrow Looper I've ridden. By the way, try out the Griffon SRL. I did it every time I rode and never waited more than 5 minutes, while the regular line was upwards of one hour. The real advantage of the SRL on Griffon is that it's much harder to fit an even 10 people into a row than it is 2 or 4, resulting in the SRL moving much quicker. I slightly prefer the front on it to the back because you're hanging there with nothing in front of you except your restraint. However the back is really awesome too cause you get that airtime falling down the drop. After you add the awesome rides to the spectacular theming, food and atmosphere it really makes for a great experience.
  9. I haven't been to Dollywood but I've been to Pigeon Forge a couple times. GO KARTS! For Go Karts I like the Adventure Raceway/ Adventure Track or something like that. It's a large helix up then a bunny hill at the top, then a helix down. Also, I really liked WonderWorks. If you're going with your family you really can't miss it. There is some truly awesome stuff there, and even a few flat rides.
  10. I've only been to Cedar Point, KI, Knott's and Kings Dominion. I would go KI, CP (but I can't use those), so KD, then Knott's.
  11. Don't forget Mind Bender at SFoG advertising some sort of hair product, I think.
  12. Hm... CF: Vortex Iron Dragon Flight Deck Non-CF: Ninja Eagle Fortress (any new info?) Vampire 3 of 6 I think, but I have a strange feeling I'm forgetting one.
  13. Sigh...I remember my first rides on Racer, thinking it was the best thing in the world. Even my dad told me when he was in 8th grade he went to KD opening year and remembers thinking Rebel Yell was the coolest thing ever.
  14. This is great. I love how Busch did this. I think it's a great way to honor our servicemen.
  15. Really positive trip report...not. I don't feel like taking the time to comment on the whole thing, but I really don't see your opinion on Boo Blasters. 1. The targets were too small They're the exact same as on Scooby 2. I couldn't tell if I hit a target or not Uh the light on the target turns off and you earn points what did you have in mind? 3. The guns were too loud and I found the gun sounds extremely annoying True but I don't see how that could ruin the ride 4. The art work was like looking at walls with graffiti, dull and lifeless Exactly how much artwork was on the ride? I feel like most of it is actual 3 dimensional props. 5. The robotics hardly moved at all. Good point, you should visit Guest Relations if you would like to suggest that the Boocifer playing organ should stand up and grab objects and hurl them at you 6. Either not enough fluorescent paint was used or it wasn't done right because NOTHING WAS IN 3-D (and I paid $1.00 for the glasses If you've been through CarnEVIL at HH, it's the same type of thing. I rode it with the glasses and it makes the paint and lights more interactive. Sigh, I agree with goodyellowkorn.
  16. I noticed this. I really picked a horrible day to go to KI today. Probably more crowded than I've seen it in a long time and really cold and windy. I Know Right, not only was it crowed but Freezing!!!! p.s. Chickfilla= 30 minute wait We were there from 3:30 to 6:30 and got a funnel cake (about 15 minute wait), rode Diamondback (20ish SRL), Vortex (30), and Spongebob (5). That's it. Though it was productive because my friend got his pass so we can go to CP next weekend! Yay! EDIT: What's wrong with the quotes?
  17. Actually I'm pretty sure it goes -Canada's Wonderland -Kings Island -Cedar Point ....I think.

  19. Eeerie Estate was pretty good. As for KI Cemetary Drive is awful.
  20. *IF YOU'RE READING, Kings Island* I would love to see something like Happy Jack's Toy Factory at CP. That was the best amusement park house/ haunt I've ever been through. It's creepy and downright hilarious.
  21. Like I said, I'm not sure. We'll just have to wait and see.
  22. I don't have confirmation of this, but I'm pretty sure CB won't be coming back this year.
