There was another trim brake about halfway through the ride that was off/open. I felt the one on the drop grab though. ^^ my BlackBerry isn't a touch screen. I can't stand touch screens either. Posted from my BlackBerry.

Holy cow, I have 93 videos?! I never actually looked at my count! Posted from my BlackBerry.

Yep, I manually put that in there when I'm on my BlackBerry. That way when the formatting does something crazy or I get a bizarre mispelling, people don't think I'm just off my rocker or suck at typing. A lot of times I don't catch the errors until I'm in front of a computer and then I'm like... How on earth did that happen?! After I had an incident or two of weird screw ups, I started tagging my mobile posts on all forums I post on. Terpy- my videos from my great adventure (with at least one Terpy shout out) are already on my YouTube channel. I just haven't had time for the rest of it! Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

^ Yet more evidence of that, Big Bad Wolf was my favorite there! Both BBW and Griffon made my top ten steel list.

I just realized that I have the date wrong. It should be 6/30 not 6/29. Oh well, will fix that later! Moving on now that my thumbs have rested a bit. From the train, I got in my guilty pleasure, the carousel. After these 2 flat rides we went to the now-working Boomerang to get the last available credit in the park, since the Wacky Worm requires a child. Walk on, of course, and I found a gold dollar coin on the floor of the car. Kaching! Unfortunately this was the only bright spot in the ride. As expected, it was violent, with lots of headbanging in the cobra roll and a really bad whiplash manuever when it grabbed the catch car on each spire. Well, I'm a credit whore and therefore a glutton for punishment, right? Now that we'd ridden everything it was time to grab rerides and any other flats that caught our eye in the last hour or so. I wanted to ride the enterprise ride, Zulu, which was another one my husband opted out of. Then it was dark enough for a Prowler reride. They'd put the second train on so it was a short station wait. After less than 10 minutes we were on the front seat. Prowler, like Beast and Big Bad Wolf, gives a very different night ride. Plus it was flying as it had all day to warm up. This ride, like my evening rides on Voyage my first trip there, bumped it pretty much to the top of my wood coaster list. Voyage is still better but it beat out El Toro. We ran around for another ride before close and this time took the very back seat. It was even more amazing back there and I believe it firmly beat the stew out of El Toro. Sadly, after our last ride on Prowler, it was time to leave. I bought a Prowler shirt before going of course and then took a couple more pics on our way out to the truck. Bye Worlds of Fun! Thanks for a great day!

Since I'm really bad at remember to post TRs if any amount of time passes after I've visited the park, I'm going to try something new. A mobile TR! This won't be a full featured TR until I get home and can upload my photos, but in the mean time, I can get the info up before I forget! Since this is posted from my BlackBerry, please forgive any unusual spelling or formatting errors. Little keys make things difficult. I've had the opportunity this past week to go on the road with my husband. Our first out of state load took us to western Indiana, where we finally made a trip to Holiday World together. Look for my mobile TR/PTR on that soon. The next day we were sent from louisville to Kansas City. Kansas City just happens to be the home of a Cedar Fair park and a new wooden coaster I didn't think I'd get to ride for several years so this was a wonderful turn of events for me. We dropped off our load at around 2:30 on the south side of town. We were at Worlds of Fun within an hour! Because we were concerned we may get another load out before we had time to ride everything, we went directly to Prowler. Did not pass go, did not collect $200. There was only 1 train on the track so what looked like only a 10 minute wait was actually 20 or so. We waited the extra few trains for front seat. My first impression was similar to my first impression of Voyage. A great coaster, but not quite good enough to surpass Beast on my top wood list. But this was not my last ride nor my last impression of the day on it. After Prowler, we headed toward Boomerang to get it over with. I strongly dislike Vekoma coasters. And wouldn't you unow it, Boomerang was down. Big surprise for a Vekoma, right? That meant it was time for my first Morgan coaster, Mamba. Also running one train, we spent about 15 minutes in line. After a front seat ride my impression was an odd one. Very similar in structure and second half to Magnum. Very similar in first half and smoothness to Superman Ride of Steel. Yet it wasn't quite as good as either. After Mamba we hit the park's second woodie, a Dinn Corp called Timber Wolf that was a complete walk on. After quietly cursing what is starting to become a Cedar Fair trademark, a trim brake on the first drop, I enjoyed the rest of the ride. Good pops of air time and a nice out of control feeling without becoming violent. From Timber Wolf, we started searching for food. We walked through the Orient section and couldn't pass up Spinning Dragons. It made my husband feel ill just looking at it (he cannot do spinning rides at all) so I went solo to yet another walk on coaster. This was my first spinning wild mouse and I loved it! I really enjoy spinning rides and combine that with a coaster, makes it even better! Now it was definitely time for food. We hit the only sit down eatery we found, a sports bar type restaurant. The food was not horrendously priced and was very good. I ordered nachos, expecting an appetizer size but got a meal big enough for 3! My husband helped me quite a bit with it and we still didn't finish! After lunch/dinner we headed to the truck so my husband could recharge his phone a bit and we could grab some sodas since we were tired of just water. After knocking back a diet mt dew each and taking a break, it was back to the park! Patriot was next on our list. I've never met a B&M invert I didn't like but I was a little weary of the track layout, which looked like a real snoozer when compared to Raptor. However, in the back seat, it did not disappoint, and my theory was proved right again. There is no such thing as a bad, or even mediocre, B&M invert. From Patriot, we rode the train to appease my train loving husband. Unlike many parks, their train is only a ride, not a form of transportation as there is only one station. I used it as a great opportunity to snap a lot of photos of the park that I will post in a few days. Going to post this section and continue on in another post because my thumbs need a rest.

Be patient about the emailed photo. It took 3 or 4 days for mine to get to me. You should definitely call guest relations to see if they can do anything about the photo though. I'd guess it saves it somewhere when they are emailed so they may still have it. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

Great report and great pictures. I had a wonderful time when I went in May and I'm glad your family did too. Can't wait to see more of your coaster trip! Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

I'm about 5'6" and right at 200 lbs and 40" waist. I've never measured my hips but I call mine child bearing hips and they're usually what give me the most trouble. I'll tell you what's tight for me and that means it's probably going to be out for you. Beast is very snug on my hips, takes some manuevering to get in comfortably but I can definitely do it comfortablyy . Lap bar is not an issue. Racer is the same. Flight of Fear is a squeeze for my husband, but I can usually get in it just fine. It's dependant on leg length and belly size. Drop Tower... Don't even try. Very short seat belts. Diamondback... With 30" thighs you might be good to go on it, but defintely try the test seat first. You should be good on Adventure Express, Firehawk, Flight Deck, Vortex. If there is a test seat use it. It is not at all embarrasing, especially compared to taking a walk of shame. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

On Prowler at Worlds of Fun (which I'm in line for right now! Woot!), as loading: Oncoming riders, this is your last chance to escape. If you're brave enough, step into the car directly in front of you. As dispatching: hide your tracks and watch your backs, the big black cat's about to attack! Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device from the line for front seat of Prowler!

I'm stuck at 70 and have been for a while. But I've been to Holiday World twice since my last KI visit and am going to Worlds of Fun this afternoon/evening. Mmm Prowler....

Is there an option for "yes please" as in please remove it? Cause that's my vote! It's a joke of ride. Wouldn't mind seeing something more like Kings Dominion's Crypt...

I saw that you said he's a 42 inch waist. My hubby is between a 42 a 44, he carries all his weight in his belly (love ya hun!). The biggest problem he will probably have is Diamondback. It depends on thigh size more than waist size. Definitely yet the test seat. If it's really close to the 3rd click you may want to try it anyway, as the test seat is slightly on the snug side when compared to the actual seats. And brown train's seats are slightly looser than any other train, green train the marks on the seats (there's a black line that has to be showing for it to be clear) are off so while it looks like you aren't in, you are. Remember, 3 clicks! Count them as you pull it down, if you've gotten 2 then just keep trying for the last click! Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

There's already a huge thread on this topic. When something official is announced, one of the administrators will post about it. You won't get anything but blind guesses until then. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

I had one argue with me. I told him to look it up on rcdb, because KI's was never, and will never be, called the jet coaster.

You forgot to type 'opinion' in all capital letters . I always thought that the waterfall was a sort of cycling water filtration system, though i could be wrong Actually, running water does help filter water. When water is runnning and constantly flowing, it helps circulate the water and airate (sp?) the water. Then with Diamondback's trains going through the water every couple of minutes, the water is further circulated. I wouldn't think any algae would be growing since the water is constantly moving. The problem is that the pool is probably about 4 feet deep (judging by the fact the top of the chain link fence is barely visible) and the scoops only recirculate the top foot of it. If you look down from the top of the hill, you will see that the water is definitely green. The top of Diamondback's lift hill and the top of the Eiffel Tower are the only two places you can see how nasty the water really is.

It seems to be hit or miss whether there are associates there or not. I've pulled in at 5:30 and they've been empty. I've pulled in at 8 (on a night they closed at 10) and they were still taking money. At Kings Dominion earlier in the season, when they closed at 8, my husband and I left the park for dinner and pulled back in around 7. That was the first time I'd ever seen the toll booths empty at a Cedar Fair park.

Argh, that one drives me insane. It is NOT THE JET COASTER!! Only the B&M inverts were ever called the Jet Coasters. I yell that at the ride ops every time they say the jet coaster and they just ignore me.

My only problem with Boomerang Bay (and I had the same issue with Splashin' Safari) is that the slides always have huge lines. I'd rather not wait in an hour line to ride a water slide, but I also don't want to go to a water park on a cool day! So I haven't ridden many of the slides that I'd like to because of the wait time, such as Tasmanian Typhoon. I normally stick to the lazy river and wave pool at Boomerang Bay.

My husband is 6'2" and about 270. He has been able to fit everything at KI and CP. His is not muscle. Intamin seatbelts are a squeeze (Drop Tower, millie and Dragster at CP) but he's never taken a walk so far. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

I love snowy river rampage. It's the family tube slide at the very back of the park. I don't like body slides though. One of these years, I'm taking you to Florida, you poor untravelled woman. Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.

The event at Kings Dominion was the deciding factor in where we're spending the 4th. If there were something interesting at KI, especially a KIC event, our plans might be different. KD is also having a BMX show and a few other things. I worked there when they did Nights of Fire. I thought it was amazing. I was working the 3rd and then on the 4th I drove down with my mom and we parked in the employee lot to watch the fireworks. The cascade off the Eiffel Tower was pretty wicked! There's a difference between doing certain things to keep the line moving and being kind about it, and the attitude that some of the crew gets. There are a couple females on the DB crew who are VERY rude at times when you request a seat and it is completely unnecessary. Something as simple as "I'm sorry, we can't assign seats at this time due to the wait time" or when they were doing power hour one night to hit capacity. I can understand that. But when the line is short and I ask may I please have row 16, don't get snooty with me. Especially if I just watched her grant a request for someone in front of me. They seem to have no problem with the line for the front seat having 6 trains worth of people in it but more than 2 trains of people for row 16 is apparently a no no in their book. Another pet peeve is the one crew member who just waves people past and says "find an empty row" over and over again. It always causes chaos in the station and he almost never fills in with single riders, leaving several empty seats (and often times empty rows) per train. If you aren't going to assign seats to maximize capacity, what's the point of him being there? I tend to head elsewhere when that person is at separater because the wait time is always increased. Angie and I drove over 4 hours to get there. It was worth every second of the drive. Not only is Voyage the most amazing wood coaster I've ever ridden, the atmosphere is so dramatically different than what you see at a chain park that you can't really describe it. Even though I live 4 hours away, I will be purchasing a season pass there next summer. As for Voyage to Diamondback... I've determined I cannot compare them. I love Diamondback because it's smooth as glass with forceful elements and great reride potential. I love Voyage because it's out of control with an insane layout, though I determined that power lapping for 9 rides I was about to reach my reride limit on it. It is that insane. Those two coasters are the reason I started separating my top coasters between wood and steel because I just cannot decide which would be my overall number 1! Posted from my BlackBerry mobile device.
