We have the same situation with my oldest daughter. We purchased the Gold Pass in early October 2013 for the 2014 season at the time she was under 48 inches. We knew she might be over 48 inches by the time the season came around. Her first visit she still was under 48 inches, her second visit she was right at 48 inches. We have not been asked to purchase an adult pass for her at this time, but know that might be a possibility for her next visit. I would expect to have to pay the difference between the two. Now I do understand with it being a Gold Pass and those aren't available at this time in the season, it should be pro-rated for the rest of the operating season. Edit to correct typo of be to been

My daughter who is now 8 got to experience this right for the first time this past operating season. She is still talking about the ride today. She smiled so much and giggled so, that it brings a smile to my face just sitting here thinking about it.

I think Kat was saying that this statement is more along the lines of coming off as, this is not owned by Kings Island and we will do what we want. Which I think might be where some of the issues started. Just everyone remember being a "fan" of something means you are "a fanatic" and by definition I do believe that means you would do everything you can to support that to which you are a fan of. So if you are a fan of say a certain sports star and he asked you to "please try and not take my photo" being a fan of that person you would try and respect that. I understand that Don was no more than a member here like most of us. He does hold a position in PR at Kings Island to which we are all fans of, so it would go without saying that if KI asked us to please follow a certain policy that we as fans could do that and not take it as a personal issue to say "you can tell me what to do!" Sometimes it helps to take a step back and look at what is being said or done from another prospective, just remember if you would want others to respect your requests in life it helps to respect other's requests as well. Which isn't any different than what Kings Island ask of us when it came to simple request. It was all a matter of respect in both instances and one that some chose not to respect.

With all the catching up on this thread I did today (15 pages worth) I noticed lots of talk of The Bat-wing/pretzel or batzel element. That really does not sit well with me for some reason, calling it batzel just sounds very strange. So I would like to propose a new name for that element......wait for it: The Pretzel-Wing! Okay now I am hungry for Pretzels and Chicken Wings. I guess that isn't any better of a name!

I am so wishing that "Clifford the Big Red Crane" makes an appearance during the construction.

I think it all depends on how the light is hitting them. I have seen a set of pictures where they look blue and the above set that look a little purple.

Well i am streaming this "news cast" on my phone since this was posted, almost 30 minutes and three teases later, they might be doing a live report. Nice Don explained the names on some of the Tombstones were people from KIC! Thanks Big Fella! I dont live local so i cant watch that news channel. Any chance you can give me a summary? Wasn't much to be honest. Just that the announcement was tonight at 10, they opened the gate to the construction area and panned around a little, then showed the Celtic Crosses and they asked Don about the names on the Tombstones. And they made it a point to say he (Don) is still calling it an attraction and not yet a coaster.
