  1. I hope they don't intensify Haunt! I went twice this year for the scream like a Banshee contest (once to participate, once to see a friend in the finals) and the first time I had a panic attack going to the front gate bc they used to have scare actors hanging out up there even as you left. I did go in CarnEvil though and it wasn't scary. Only one thing made me jump I want to do Slaughterhouse so bad but am afraid it'd be too intense for me. I would have to go before dark (ie 6pm) so there would be a little light coming in and I wouldn't be given a heart attack leaving by chainsaw guy. I am a certified Haunt chicken!
  2. Yay for something new to speculate about!!!
  3. You do know Don does read and post on the forums, correct? I did say in another post that Don could possibly answer. I even quoted the post where I said it. The quote is on page 96. Adena and CSF would not know the "whys". They just bring it to life. So no, neither of those would have my answer. Yes I am fully aware he reads and occasionally posts out here..... I'm not that new out here
  4. Why not contact B&M, Adena Corp., CSF, or Don Helbig? I'm sure one of those would have your answer
  5. Refer to my previous post where I stated "complaining" wasn't necessarily the correct term as much as nit-picking over silly non-important details. As others have said: who cares, why does it even matter?? Is it really that important that it's wider? We are getting a new coaster, who cares if certain features differentiate from similar features of other B&M coasters. Are they not allowed to have variations, only cookie cutters? Just sayin'....
  6. Shoot me here but I actually think Rita looked better as Rita: Queen of Speed lol but I am one for bright colors and such
  7. they don't?? that's news to me!!! Here's the deal with WinterFest. The last time they did it (I believe it was winter 2005) it was a MAJOR fail. I know this because I worked it! Season passes (both current year and next year) were not valid for WinterFest, it cost quite a bit to get in (I believe at least $20 for admission, not including parking) and once you got in there were only two things you could do for free: 1. Walk around 2. Ride the train Food prices were insane, there were no holiday shows in the FestHaus to my recollection, and you still had to pay to ice skate even if you brought your own ice skates. I worked over at RPW and we were DEAD. So dead that just to get our hours and make some money we were still scheduled to work but 2-3 employees would be sent on an hour long paid break at a time because it was better than having a bunch of us stand around bored out of our mind. To make things worse, customers got mad because we didn't have food that was instantly ready. Sure we could have made the food in advance.... but it would have been cold by the time it got ordered. We did that the first night or two.... but then again the first few nights were actually really popular. So at KI you paid $20 a person plus parking to get in the park and walk around and look at Christmas lights and maybe ride the train. Meanwhile up at the Beach at Holiday Fest (which I have also worked) I think admission was $10/person plus parking, current and next year season passes were valid. Shows Nativity scene Petting Zoo Tobogganing down an old slide into hay (this was back in 2006 I believe) Free Ice skating (free with skate rental, free if you brought your own skates) Affordable food that would be ready in a minute or two Season pass discounts on food Oh, and best of all, on NYE admission was 4/$20. IE on NYE you could get 4 people in to the Beach for the same price you could get ONE in at Kings Island. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see WinterFest come back again, but Kings Island lost so much money when they did it in '05 (or whenever it was) that the whole event needs to be re-planned from the scratch before they do it again in order to not lose money. WinterFest was just such a bust last time because it seems they just didn't plan it out very well and didn't take into consideration their biggest competition just 5 minutes up the road. I would love to see WinterFest come back and be successful, but I think a lot needs to change before they get to that point
  8. Maybe Dark Zone? Lol the thing I'm most curious about is if they do make The Bat and Banshee into a dark themed sub-zone, how is EXtreme Skyflyer going to fit in with that? Lol
  9. Excuse you? No one is complaining, I was pointing it out and wondering "WHY?" Besides, one can CLEARLY see by looking at the horizontal support, that it is wider. I think since B&M is my favorite maker, and having ridden 41 of the 90 in the world, 13 of which are inverted, I would know. Don't argue with me about B&M. 1. Notice "complaining" was in quotes. I didn't know how to properly state it. Nit-pick, point out every detail that's different, whatever... what I meant is it's always something being brought up about how this is different or that is different and how someone doesn't like this or that, and it's kind of getting annoying.... We're getting a new coaster that's first of its kind to KI, offers several elements that no other coaster at Kings Island has.... and I hear people point out this, and that, and this isn't the same as other B&M inverts... and I am just like is it really that important? 2. I am not arguing. It seems you chose to take my post in a rather hostile manner when that's not at all how I wrote it nor intended it to be read. Chill. 3. I am not arguing with you about B&M nor do I care to. I don't care how many B&Ms you've ridden, or how that's relevant. My point is this: Why is anyone on this forum still comparing Banshee to other B&Ms and questioning measurements, layouts, etc.?? Is it really that important that certain features be cookie cutter duplicates of features on other B&Ms?? Why can't we just trust that everyone behind the design, manufacturing, and building of this coaster know what they are doing and are doing things for a reason? We are getting a brand new really awesome roller coaster that has a lot to offer and has a lot of features that no other coasters at Kings Island has!!! Is it really all that important if the loop is wider?? That's all I meant, that's all I mean, that's all I'm saying. I never got an attitude with you, don't have one now, so there is no need for you to be so hostile towards me.
  10. Deathtropolis is probably not a good name given the history of SoB. I know no one died on it but people always assume someone or several someones did die on there lol
  11. are we that bored now that we gotta "complain" or mention every oddity we don't like about this coaster?? WHO CARES if the width is seemingly wider than it is on other B&Ms..... it's gonna be awesome.... Besides, we don't know for sure it's wider until we have measured the width of the lift hill loops on all the other B&Ms
  12. May i ask where this is? I kinda want to drive past it EDIT: 50th Post Out in Batavia. Don't know the name of the road it is on, just how to get there lol. For an actual address and directions, Google Clermont Steel Fabricators my fiancé grew up out there and knew how to get there, so that's how I learned how to get there
  13. Went by CSF. All we saw were four trailers, each covered with a tarp. Nothing exciting. No trespassing involved
  14. I'll be in Eastgate again on Sunday for church. I'll swing by CSF again and see if I see anything.
  15. so, that small upside down U shaped support lookin thingy in the back by CJ, is that actually a support put in place or is it just pieces? Cuz it looks to me like an acutal support but it's not been noted on an update yet so not sure I've circled which one I think it is based on comparison between a webcam image I saved yesterday and the track layout.... Disappointed that this week has brought almost no change and I have no clue what they're even doing now...
  16. I thought there were three yesterday as well lol
  17. primer paint possibly? regardless, it's changing colors
  18. quite possible. They started painting it today! Courtesy of Don Helbig via Twitter
  19. I didn't know it had even one angel o.O I mean it kinda makes sense since Banshee wails over the dead and angels can relate to death but still....
  20. hmm.... clearly I was wrong then lol
  21. Clifford 1, 2, and 3, for those that doubt
  22. that zero G roll looks REALLY sweet!
