  1. I know it was mentioned early but bring back the themed music in all of the areas. I really noticed the difference it made at CP a few weeks ago. The park was once set up like that; it should not be hard to go back to it.
  2. I do not think Urgent Scare was that bad and it was much better then some of the others. I will say the "decontamination", while it may have been neat effect on a warmer night, was uncalled for on a night that had dipped down in the low 40s. (Sorry if put out a spoiler)
  3. Still on the fence about going. Will not be able to leave Indianapolis until 6:30 so we will not get there until about 8:30. Just not sure if I want to pay $40 for 3 1/2 hours.
  4. You beat me to it, I was just getting ready to post the artical.
  5. It took me a bit to find the map. It is just last years map with some bad airbrushing done to it (look were SOB is) to move some things around which is also why DB is not pictured.
  6. My kids are 9, 5, and 2 and they love HH. They know that its people in costume and that these people will try to scare them. Every year we give them the option to leave and they tell us they want to stay. They enjoy the atmostphere of the park. Last year we waited in line for urgent scare and inside the que lines there was a scareactor that bent down and growled at my youngest and he looked at him and laughed. They proceeded to give high fives to each other for the next 10 minutes. Its all on how the kids are raised. The parents that freak out because there kids are scared are just plain ignorant...if you know your kids are scared of monsters then leave. The park does do a good job in telling parents whats about to happen and there are signs explaining it. Everyone should be allowed to stay in the park if thats what they choose. Please do not make the parents who enjoy the atmosphere of HH feel like they don't belong. If we are paying to get in the park or are using our season passes then we have just as much of a right to be there as the next person. Based on your opinion you expect everyone with kids should be thrown out...yeah thats a great business move. Can you just see that? Park employee: "Hi welcome to Kings Island. I see you have kids under 12 so I have to put a wristband on them" Park guest: "Why..what is it for?" Park employee: "Oh, starting at 6 we will find you and have one our staff escort you out of the park. You have to be out by 7" Park guest: "Well, thats not right. I want to stay all day" Park employee: "Well, Im sorry that is the way it has to be...Thank you for coming..Have a nice day" I am assuming from your post you are probably in high school or are just young and are not around kids. Please think before you post. I bet there are quite a bit of parents on here that post and read these forums. By posting on here I was not trying to offend anyone. I just wanted my opinion known. Thank You While I can understand your point, HH is no place for children. Last year children ruined our trips through 2 different haunts after waiting in line for close to an hour on each. The children could not handle it so the cast basically had to stop so they could just get through it. And this is not coming from a high schooler, it is from a 36 year old adult with a child.
  7. Couple of stories on it: http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/ca...10,938243.shtml http://news.prnewswire.com/ViewContent.asp...3398&EDATE= All I can find so far.
  8. I will admit that I would like to ride, but not because it is named “The Intimidator”. I have never understood why they think attaching a “big name” to something like a ride would make it any more popular and I sure do not think it is something worth paying for. If anything they should be paying CF for naming rights for the publicity much like they do stadiums and such.
  9. 1. Diamondback 2. Beast 3. Vortex 4. Firehawk 5. SoB 6. FoF 7. Flight Deck 8. Red Racer 9. Invertigo 10. Adventure Express 11. Backlot Stunt Coaster 12. Blue Racer
  10. *cough cough* It is closed for the rest of the season... I don't think I'll trust a 13 year old. LOL...I can't believe this... Well you should, because it is and they have told us.
  11. Sorry but I just had to post this.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...body-odour.html
  12. I am glad I am not the only one that thinks lil bill is creepy.
  13. Not sure if I will be going or not. We are just coming back from Sandusky/Cedar Point the weekend before and money maybe tight. I have never been on Pride Night.
  14. Thanks rcfreak339, I appreciate it. I believe it is the last weekend of regular season (which is what I meant). They are closed the next weekend then open for Halloweekends. I guess I have not gotten use to post being picked apart this site.
  15. I know we all have seen the SOB crew members working on other rides. My guess is they are filling other open posistions, so either way a posistion would have to be filled to move them back to SOB if that is the reason (which I hope is true, but do not belive it really is).
  16. Does anyone know what kind of crowds CP usually has on Labor Day weekend? I know it is “closing” weekend for one thing on top of it being a holiday weekend. We have not been able to make the trip all summer and are looking at going that weekend.
  17. I am thinking of doing the same as well and was just getting ready to post the same questions.
  18. 1973 - The Flying Dutchman, the Bayern Kerve, and Kenton`s Cove Keelboat Canal (All of which are now closed).
  19. I wish I could go but at work.... and it is a 2 hour drive for me.....
  20. I would love for a couple more dates a year. Both of the previous dates it was not possible for me to be there. It looks like KI has the least amount of dates of any CF park.
  21. Our last trip we stayed at Maples Motel. It is about 4 miles from the park if you go in the back way. It is not the nicest place in the world but very cozy and is a place to sleep cheap. http://www.maplesmotel.com/
  22. I think it is all according to how he carries his weight. I am of similar stats, only a little taller, and only have real issue on The Beast (they like to squeeze you in). I also run into some issue with the front seat of the FOF cars.
  23. Whew! All clear! And I'll admit to nothing! I will have to find out when you are there. Some are determined that it must go down one more click while others never say a thing but "check".
