  1. thanks, sorry about the repost.
  2. I am trying to plan a trip once everyone is back in school. Here in Indiana, everyone is already started and I was wondering if Ohio schools have started yet. I seem to remember that most the Ohio schools got out later than ours here did. anyways, please advise. Thanks.
  3. shouldnt there be a stipulation here. you should have ridden all three to base an opinion. anyways, I love all three, but I gotta say Diamondback just for the air! 1 click, arms up, feet up!
  4. as a newer user, i dont find why all the polls anyways. i find them useless and annoying. just my opinion. not to upset anyone, but I find the polls less informative than the SOB polls. I could go without either of them. just voicing my thoughts hoping the topics get better here.
  5. On Proslide's website it states that Great Wolf Lodge at KI has one. I dont know, I havent been there. Can anyone confirm/deny this? Here is the link: http://www.proslide.com/rides_05_inst.php it also states the SFKK has one too
  6. I spoke to Darlene last night and she had 602 rides in, so yes she has been passed. And I have 104 laps in so far. I am proud of that number given that I live over 2 hours away!
  7. Awsome, thank you very much!
  8. I would like to say, as a new user, that I love this site. However it is very hard to keep reading the garbadge that one user posts non-stop. I find it amazingly annoying and really hard to keep watching him ruin so many posts with absolute junk. I dont think I am alone here either. Isnt there a ban or probation or something tht could be done? Please? just wonderin'
  9. I find it to be a very different ride from the front to the middle and to the back. But of coarse i prefer row 16! Then row 1/2.
  10. agreed. I generally request the back row and state that i dont mind waiting. Most ops go ahead and let you. Altho I did have a really bad experience one night with a female op that was extremely rude (write it off as a bad day for her). Seems now that they have worked all summer they are much friendlier! I think Diamondbacks crew kicks @$$. Thanks!
  11. 3 trains generally, maybe 4-5 for back seat. It as great And yet, I'm sure they were still assigning seats...how not great Actually, thy just opened up the station so you could pick your seat. I'd say it was that way for about the last hour of the day. SWEET!

  13. I went to the park yesterday without knowing that it was going to rain all freaking day like it did. None the less, I managed to pull off a feat that I was wondering if has ever been done before. I was in the first row on the first train of the day (i actually got in the single rider line and oddly enough the first person in line was a single rider!). Then after the rains let up for a few hours of late evening rides, I was able to get in row 16 for the last train of the night. So I made it 1-1 on the first train of the day, and then 8-4 on the last train out for the night! I thought it was amazing anyways, lol. I ended up with 10 Diamondback rides on the day, along with 4 Beast rides (including a night ride), and a Firehawk and FOF ride. Not much but shoot it rained nearly all day, least I managed to have fun and there was nearly an empty park!
  14. yes they are. my son is nearly the same height. what we did was fill his shoes in the heel and took him in to get measured. they will give you an armband that should work for the day. This doesnt necessarily work in the water park tho. he had a 48" armband (purple) and was still turned away since he didnt have his shoes on and thus was not 48 tall. good luck!
  15. Ok, I think I am the only person that has a use for the basketballs. My 10 year old son generally wins 1 or 2 for his first 5 bucks (he has won every single ball they have at KI and surprisingly I havent spent what you would think) and he practices his dribbling all day (and not in the cues, that IS a rule). That is impossible to get him to do at home! lol. Now he is in no way a cumsey dribbler and generally doesnt ever loose his ball. However this is one of his favorite things to do in the park and I find it facinating to watch a kid win 4 or 5 balls for 10 bucks. Just thought I'd throw my two pennies for perspective. Happy dribbling.
  16. yes u can. u just pay the difference. just go to the season pass office outside the gate. and btw they will reimburse you for your parking as well if u ask. have fun at the point
  17. I will be travelling with my 2 younger sons (10 and 6) and I am thinking about camping in leau of a hotel rooms to save money primariy. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced campground near KI, we would be needing someplace that allows tent campers. Or just as well, does anyone know of a cheap yet clean hotal near the park? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!
  18. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! I think its cool that you spent it at the park, its a terrific place for any day!
  19. im up to 97 rides so far. woo hoo! i love it!
  20. I nearly stopped in the middle of DUT. I love the twister, just hold your breath near the end or you will swallow some water. AND they did let me carry or wear my sandles on every slide. However, Splashin Safari is the best waterpark I've seen, it blows away BB, so dont expect the same.
  21. My favorite thing about the park is getting to share my childhood with my kids, now 6 and 10. I grew up only getting to come once a year and how special it was! And now my boys come about 4 days a month. Its amazing how a 6 yr old can ride Vortex and his head is 2 inches shorter than the OTSR's. lol Or how a 10 year old will ride Diamondback with his hands and feet all the way up thru the entire ride. I swear there is no fear in them. I think the best is re-re-rideing The Racer 30 some odd times in a row. They want to try to break the record! What is it anyways? Thats what I like the best about KI! oh yea, we will be at the park thurs, fri, and sat this week. ride 75 and counting on Diamondback!
  22. Wouldn't it be easier if instead of asking for a certain row and being "assigned" to that row by a ride op, to just go to which ever row you'd like, thus eliminating the need for a ride op seat assigner? Whenever I was at the park, that concept seemed to work pretty well on all of the rollercoasters. Why is there suddenly a need for seat assignment now?? with Diamondback they try to pack the trains full. They have a single rider line that takes the odd seat for groups of odd numbers. Thus the line generally moves quite fast and you rarely see an empty seat. And If you are riding alone then you can get on quicker (sometimes). I hope that explained things.
  23. I haven't been to KI since late May. What's wrong with the splashdown? Is the water getting nasty? Yes the water is growing algea. I am wondering if this is meant to be that way? I dunno but if its not by design, its quite nasty. Its half green and half not. I would think that if they treated it with chlorine or bromine it would decay the tracks and cars. Just a thought.
  24. I could not agree more with you on the first paragraph! If there is 2 loads in row 16, then they seem to have an issue with it. I think if I just waited for 30-45 mins at least let me make a choice if id like to wait one more ride for my seat preference. The guys generally understand but there is two girls and I wont name names that must really hate that position as they are totally rude about it. And the line jumpers into the closed single rider line still peeves me! lol Can't wait till thurs and fri. Ill be back at the park for Diamondback ride 76 and beyond!
  25. I have a couple complaints about the park. for one, and i have adressed it with guest relations but nothing noticable has been done. When the single rider line at Diamondback is closed, people go in the normal line and hop under the rail into the single rider line. Last week i was waiting for the line to open (there was obviously a line) and 9 kids did this. I pointed it out the the girl working the gate, but all she did was open the line so we could go. The line jumpers werent even told anything! Also when "groups" get in the line and it gets backed up past the bottom of the stairs. There was a girls soccer team and a church group in this line that day, all in identical shirts. This line is meant for single riders, not for groups to try to make it on faster. Other than that, I LOVE KI!
