CornSTALKERS hang around Halloween Haunt, while CornHUSKERS can typically be found in Nebraska. haha. I see you haven't been through that haunt. Believe me, it's Cornhuskers. that be where your wrong. TRUST ME!!! Then maybe taking them off the asphalt would result in more CornStalking and less CornHusking. It's not a good haunt, believe me, no matter how many logos you paste up- and this is coming from a person with a fear of Mummers.

It's a challenge for me, lately. I do get bopped around a bit, and it does seem faster. I think it's because I'm older. I can go on it twice a night, before when I was younger, I could go on it every other ride. The greatness of it for me is the design. The fact that it follows the terrain amazes me. It's a beautiful, fast flight through the woods. Yes. I ride it to admire the engineering. The worst part of any coaster for me, is the lift. The anticipation gets me every time.

I saw the drop on the video last night, I can't even handle Drop Zone, but my god, that ride is tempting.

Thanks for that. I was able to show someone the park I went to as a kid. I recall a lot of those rides. In turn, he showed me a Camden amusement park that still has a Bill Tracy house in it. We watched a video, and it seemed so short, but I think it's because it used to be a walk through funhouse, and due to modern safety issues, they had to turn it into a rider.

As long as they keep that tiny hunk of asphalt for Cornhuskers and not move to say... an area more natural to said Cornhuskers, I'm just great.

I should add more. The source of my information said that "before Cedar Fair" they kept a spare chain around. They implied that CF is a bit cheap, and somehow that spare was re-purposed in the time since PKI. That's... not making me to happy to read that.

My mother had spoken of strapping someone in a ride, I never understood what she meant. I mean, it was just a ride, what the hell was she talking about straps for? You pull the lap bar down, some kid shakes it, and off you go. Your post clarifies things for me.

She was just posing. The fact there was a trash can next to her didn't even register. I didn't bother pointing it out cause I knew I was going to snap a lot of pictures for the TR. Every aspect of the park should be documented for future generations. Including the trash, I guess. Thanks to all for the kind words. A couple weeks ago, I went to the park by myself and rode a few "big person" rides. And it was fun. (http://lebeauleblog....t-kings-island/) But there's nothing like hearing my daughter scream with delight on Surf Dog. Or laughing her head off as we splash around on the log flume. Josie used to ride the Great Pumpkin Coaster by herself and was very proud to tell me to sit on the sidelines while she did so. But now she'd rather have me cram my adult-sized rear into a kiddie coaster and have me whip around that little circular track with her. I'll do it while she wants me to. In a few years, she probably won't want me to anymore. Good thing she has a little sister who will be ready for the park in another year or two. My dad was the one to go with my into the Haunted House and Kookie Kastle when I was young. Those memories are very important to me. You did way more than just cram yourself into a kid's seat.

I agree. At least with the White Water, you are walking through trees, and can look around. Flight Deck is just a dismal haulass to the bitter end.

Thanks! Looks like a great place. Been wanting to try it. With nothing to carry around, I had the best time I'd had in years. Genuinely thinking of getting a spare pair of cheap prescription sports glasses and looking like a doofus, so I don't have to worry about my good glasses getting lost.

Now I want to check to see if any hotels allow dogs up that way. That sounds like a fun time. That sounds like a great vacation, with a hell of a good list of rides.

Approximately 4:30, I went to Boomarang Bay, and my husband and I stomped all through the bamboo at the north side of the wave pool, hoping to find either my glasses and/or driver's license. Actually, to find anything. No one said anything. Didn't find anything but an army of cigarette butts and cigarette packages, and I've already gave my opinion of smoking outside the designated areas. Then went to Lost and Found for one last try. After that, my husband suggested that we go in and get some water. Evidently I was looking pale. We went in, got water, was looking for a cool place to be, and saw Boo Blasters. There was no line, and I always wanted to try it. My husband had never been in a dark ride before. It's really cute and fun. Breezed right onto White Water Canyon, Then finally found "The Big Black Room" ride. I'd never ridden The Crypt, and wondered why people were complaining about lack of theming, there was some demon statues and tiki whatevers along the line. Then I got to the Big Black Room. For such a short ride, all they have is a row of colored lights? The only rides that had about a 45 minute wait were Diamondback, Stunt Car (It's open), and Firehawk. Finally rode Invertigo, liked it, didn't think it was too short for what it does, and it lives up to it's name. Sitting on the bench outside, we saw many people walk away from it like drunken cowboys. Most of Coney Island besides FoF and WindSeeker were walk on. Fof seemed really smooth and fast today. I didn't take anything with me but a 20 dollar bill, ten smokes, and my pass. Considering I only went over there to stomp bamboo, I had a great day, and my good memories of the amusement park were restored. Need to find out where the Backyard BBQ is, though. Directions, anyone?

I miss the Klown Band! My cousin was tenor sax in '87. I always enjoyed when they came around.

Haha, yes, if you were small and/or skinny, you would Sliiide allover. If wearing shorts, you'd have to wait til after a rain, or the hot metal would cause a burn when you slid

Really! What was the details of the incidents? The lights and sound were coordinated with the video. When the politician? I think it was? said he let civilians in the hangar, there would be a brief live stream of the patrons in line.When the technician in the video messed with the ship's panel, the lights of the UFO would start to go off and on, When the electricity went out on the video, the lights would flash off and on in the hangar, around you, Then the lights would go completely out. Then the opening monologue of the Outer Limits show would be played. At the end of the monologue, the lights would go back up, as if nothing had happened.
