Yeah...Carowind's site was changed a few weeks ago. But PKD's site has just changed. I wonder when PKI's site is going to be changed...
-
I read somewhere that the tracks are intertwined with on another. So there is no way to take one out without taking the other out. But I don't think that would happen because sometimes in the summer it's really busy. But I have heard that if they are putting in a new coaster that it might be there. So they might take it out after all.
-
I can do that 100% of the time with steel coasters. Now wooden coasters...that's a little more tough because the track is so much more alike. But I'm usually right 75% of the time. And now you're probably thinking "wow...he is such a freak" EDIT: Just thought of one... You might be a coaster freak if you find a coaster that you have never heard of and go on a desperate search to find a pic of it....and you try to read Chinese to find it.

If they were to move it...I think they would move it out of the park. But I don't think it's gonna go anywhere anytime soon. I don't think it will ever move. PKI has plenty of space to build rides. I dont think they would have to build a ride right where Timberwolf is currently.

I'll probably be there...I'll be on spring break!

I think i know it! Was it SkyLab?!

I totally agree. When it goes from the banked curve to straight before the decline before the loops it really snaps right back to straight. I have also noticed that Adventure Express is jerky as well. Even though it doesn't have much speed, going from banked to straight can be painful even though it only has lap bars instead of OTSRs. Arrow's new trains might help because they are higher above the track than their old ones. But I think Vortex is pretty good for being 17 years old.

Roughest riding coaster at PKI?
crosscountry4891 replied to ckimbro's little bodyguard's topic in Kings Island
Yeah...I agree. I have to try to hold my head straight and look forward. But the funny thing is that I think that the backwards racer isnt that rough. -
He also mentions the Reds as well. I think he grew up in Cincinnati actually. I think...but I'm not sure.

That stinks...I guess we aren't going to be the only park with a Giant Frisbee anymore. At least we were the first park to have a Giant Frisbee!

I think we all have a lot of time on this Sunday afternoon... Anywho, my scariest experience was the first time I rode Drop Zone. I remember looking up the tower and thinking, "it's not THAT high." So I got in the 2 hour line and waited. was kinda small then so I couldnt really see my friend. When we started to go up I was freaked out by the fact that there was no floor. When we got to the top I remember the whole thing shaking. I thought for SURE it was goin to fall down the ground and i was gonna die. We waited...and waited...clunk. My legs flew up my heart pounded and i remember trying to find something to hold on to but when i did the ride was over. After we got off i saw somebody kiss the ground. Literally.

Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay
crosscountry4891 replied to DownUnder Thunder's topic in Coming Attractions
Yeah, i totally agree. Paramount is too lazy to try to think up an original name for BB. Just like most of the other rides, they will both be themed the same. Let's see...how many rides have the same name throughout Paramount Parks? Drop Zone, Top Gun, Vortex, FoF, Tomb Raider, Top Cat's Taxi Jam, Runaway Reptar and so on... But, does most of the general public know that the parks have the same theme? Does most of the general public care if they have the same theme? Probably not. They will be happy just because it's a new water park. And PKI is just there to make the general public happy, right? I'm just happy that they didn't have each water park have the same rides. If they would have given them the same rides I would have been VERY upset and angry. As long as the rides are original I'm ok...I guess I just looked at the PGA website and some of their rides have the same names as our rides like: Down Under Thunder, Tasmanian Typhoon, and Jakaroo Landing. But wait...they have Kookaburra Cay not Kookaburra BAY. -
I was looking at the American Coaster Enthusiasts website and they said that The Beastie was once an ACE Classic. Does anyone know why it was taken away from The Beastie? http://www.aceonline.org/classics/

That's great...if your source IS 100% reliable.

Whoops...I forgot that Kings Dominion didn't have a Top Gun coaster. I looked at the Vekoma website and it said: "The Suspended Coaster trains are also suitable for retro-fitting, new trains can be installed onto various Swinging Turns tracks or Suspended Coaster systems. Upgrading an existing ride with these trains will give guests a completely new ride experience for a relatively low investment." They really don't say how much the trains would cost excpet for a "low investment"
-
I agree that floorless trains would be really nice and would help Top Gun, but they would be very expensive. They would have to put a floor under the trains in the station and other stuff like that. If they did install floorless trains the queue area below would probably have to be removed to make way for the new floor. Each Paramount park has some kind of "Top Gun" coaster that is bellow the track...but each one is unique. Carowinds and Great America have a B&M inverted and Canada's Wonderland has a Vekoma SLC. The park in Europe that has the Arrow with floorless trains is Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures. Go to the link below to find more... http://rcdb.com/installationdetail784.htm
-
Yea...i've seen the cars for the Zamperla Flyers and they are really covered up. The b&m flyers are better and more open. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1711.htm?Picture=9
-
Whoa...they showed an inverted B&M but theres not one at the park! It must have been a top gun at one of the other paramount parks.
-
On SoB and Vortex I always make funny faces at the camera.
-
Interesting...how much do things like that cost?
-
Was anyone there in 2002 when it re-opened?
-
I'm gonna have to go with the Brady Bunch becuase I liked the show more and they showed more of the park with the Brady Bunch. Have a great day!
-
wow...thats a great sound clip! where did you find it?
-
If you mean 65 and 64...then yes I have noticed the same thing. Have a great day!
-
Yea... I think it just means scheduled maintence too. They might update a few things but I don't think it will be a major change.
