  1. I was thinking the same thing. It may not be a big city, but it's not a small town!
  2. I don't mean to come off rude; but do you have any clue what you're saying? Space Spiral is an observation tower that slowly spins and moves up to give you views of the park. It doesn't spin as fast though. and it isn't as high. It's nothing like WindSeeker besides the fact it goes up and down.... Space Spiral: WindSeeker:

  4. It was an outdoor bobsled coaster that only goes 40mph and is 63 feet tall and was enclosed. It's a family coaster, really. And to LongliveKingsCobra, it opened in 1985 as Avalanche Run and in 1990 was changed to Disaster Transport.
  5. No way. Flight of Fear is a major ride in the park and I don't see it leaving for a long, long, time.
  6. I've always wanted to be a PR Manager and I love checking out amusement parks' (and some other places) PR. Specifically what they do on Facebook, YouTube, etc. Who do you think has the best PR? (you don't have to answer...Don is on these forums!) I would say Holiday World (Paula) because they post a lot of YouTube videos, they keep in touch with everyone very easily (they replied to one of my YouTube comments within 30 minutes of posting).
  7. Check this fact out: Cedar Point hasn't gotten a new coaster since 2007 (Maverick). Valley Fair got a kids' coaster last year, but it's been 2007 for them too. Michigan's Adventure got a coaster in 2008 (Thunderhawk). And Worlds of Fun got one in 2009 (Prowler)!
  8. How do they find the wait times? Do they do it like they do at Disney? (I was given a card once on It's a Small World and was told to give it to the "cast member" who helped me board the boat.)
  9. The Voyage wins! Good job Voyage! (If you can't tell, I love The Voyage).
  10. I wasn't stuck, but The Beast stalled on the lift hill for maybe a minute or so.
  11. The only thing I didn't like about The Beast's segment is they didn't say any statistics like height and speed. Oh well. I voted for The Voyage anyway.
  12. Kings Island's been on many Travel Channel shows.
  13. I just don't like how both wave pools are right next to each other. It's kind of strange...
  14. I didn't mean it like that...it just seems like a lot of the time people think they know exactly what they are talking about (it's happened in the past couple weeks here) when they really don't.
  15. You shouldn't wait, Cedar Point already has a great collection of attractions. Although the coaster will be finished for 2013, so you won't even have to worry.
  16. Or to make things easier they can just get rid of the banners and plant these things called trees that give us oxygen and give people SHADE.
  17. I'm thinking you guys are thinking too much into this. Maybe these characters mean nothing at all and they're just fooling with us.
  18. I would LOVE LED signs in place of the banners. Emphasis on the love. It would be so cool for there to be like 5 different advertisements for shows or other rides in the park, maybe even play some videos...they could also make some money off of advertising products on them.
  19. Assuming you have a KI pass, I strongly recommend that you take what would otherwise be put toward admission at CP and use it to upgrade your KI pass to Platinum (remembering that the upgrade must be processed at KI). Even if that doesn't cover the whole difference, the extra money spent will be well worth it between access to ERT and other perks, including useful and meaningful food deals. You'll be glad you did. That sounds great, but it's honestly too much money, especially if I use it just for two days. Unless I have another trip to Cedar Point this year, I don't find the use in paying so much money. Remember that you don't have to pay the full $179 for the Platinum Pass if you already have a KI pass, just the difference between what you paid for your existing pass and the Platinum price. If you bought your pass during the fall sale last year, that's a difference of just $109, less if you bought it in the offseason or spring. A two-day ticket to CP is going to cost you $67 of that online. The extra $42 is well worth it IMO to get ERT and the food deals, plus you'll then have it available in case you get another chance to go to CP this year (and you never know what life may throw at you). Thanks for explaining this, while it sounds like a great deal, I am travelling with my friend's family and I'm pretty sure they won't all do it with me. But next year I am going to Cedar Point so I might do it next year.
  20. I didn't either, I was just complaining about the amount of ads!
  21. Based on the headline it seems really weird but I can't seem to read the article with the amount of ads that plague the site!

  23. Well that's a ton different than Kings Island. Was thinking since I'm going on a weekday it wouldn't be so bad.
