Cedar Point Questions
Assuming you have a KI pass, I strongly recommend that you take what would otherwise be put toward admission at CP and use it to upgrade your KI pass to Platinum (remembering that the upgrade must be processed at KI). Even if that doesn't cover the whole difference, the extra money spent will be well worth it between access to ERT and other perks, including useful and meaningful food deals. You'll be glad you did. That sounds great, but it's honestly too much money, especially if I use it just for two days. Unless I have another trip to Cedar Point this year, I don't find the use in paying so much money. Remember that you don't have to pay the full $179 for the Platinum Pass if you already have a KI pass, just the difference between what you paid for your existing pass and the Platinum price. If you bought your pass during the fall sale last year, that's a difference of just $109, less if you bought it in the offseason or spring. A two-day ticket to CP is going to cost you $67 of that online. The extra $42 is well worth it IMO to get ERT and the food deals, plus you'll then have it available in case you get another chance to go to CP this year (and you never know what life may throw at you). Thanks for explaining this, while it sounds like a great deal, I am travelling with my friend's family and I'm pretty sure they won't all do it with me. But next year I am going to Cedar Point so I might do it next year.

WDW denies entry to teen in Tinker Bell costume
I didn't either, I was just complaining about the amount of ads!

Based on the headline it seems really weird but I can't seem to read the article with the amount of ads that plague the site!

Cedar Point Questions
Well that's a ton different than Kings Island. Was thinking since I'm going on a weekday it wouldn't be so bad.

I do not have a Platinum pass, so no ERT for me. What should the crowds be like? I think we are going Thursday and Friday next week.

Action Zone makeover 2013?
I completely agree. The last time I went to the park I was amazed at how bad the Backyard BBQ banner looked. At first I thought it was just the angle of the light on it but it wasn't. It's funny to me, Action Zone seems like the oldest, most outdated, and run down part of the park but it's actually the newest (excluding Planet Snoopy).

Park/Coaster Forums/Websites.
I didn't check off KIExtreme because I just don't go on it anymore. It's a shame because it's a really nice website. I also use Screamscape (everyday), and I sometimes lurk on Theme Park Review just for fun.

Thanks all for your answers and tips. I'll be taking all of them into consideration. Especially going to Pink's. May I ask, what is so great about it?

Cedar Point Questions
I know there are so many of these topics but I have some specific questions. My friend just asked me if I wanted to come with him to Cedar Point next week so of course I said yes, and this will be my first ever time. But I have a couple of Q's: 1. Is Mantis a must-not ride? Or should I at least try it out? 2. What rides can you skip (specifically roller coasters) without missing out on a lot? 3. Is there any difference between Delirium and Max-Air? 4. What are some must ride flats at CP? 5. Will Top Thrill Dragster freak the heck out of me (the launch looks insane )! Any other good tips would help me and my friend out (my friend and I?) when we're at the park. Like where to eat, what rides to ride first, etc. (we are staying two days so we don't really have to rush).

Where Is A Unique Place For An Attraction?
Inside Son of Beast's rose bowl. While that will never happen, it would be pretty cool.

Should Soak City Be included as unlimited admission or be a seperate gated waterpark?
It better stay apart of Gold passholders' perks, because my mom hates amusement parks and the only time I go to Kings Island is if she gets to go to the waterpark (or if someone else takes me).

Best Area
Rivertown, no doubt. I love that theme. In fact almost every RCT3 park I make includes a themed area like Rivertown. If only they played music to make it really great...

First Roller Coaster
Actually, now that I go back to it, my first coaster may have actually been The Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom (I used to have annual passes to Florida...when I was like 4).
-
Delirium Acting strangely?
There have been more downtimes than in RCT3. I think I've already said that in another topic...
-
First Roller Coaster
Like many others, my first roller coaster was Taxi Jam. My first 48" roller coaster was Vortex, I think, (I did almost all of the 48" rides in one day), and my first 54" was Diamondback!

Vortex Hurts Dx
I grey out on BLSC at the top of the helices.

First Ride on Diamondback
My first ride on Diamondback was a pretty crazy one. It was a Bring a Friend Day in 2009 so I brought my friend Aaron with me. I had never been on Diamondback even though I told him I had. As soon as the restraints locked down on us I said, "Aaron - I lied. I've never been on this before." He about cursed when they said "all clear" and we were all set. I was very scared, because I used to be scared of any roller coaster I was new to. The whole ride from the drop to the final brakes with screamed "OH MY GOD", over and over again. We rode it another 7, 8, 9 times? (don't remember) and our last ride, Aaron puked off the side of the final brakes. Good times, good times.

Universal Orlando to build 1,800-room hotel
Universal needs to focus on more rides, not hotels...(talking about Universal side, Islands is great).

KI 2012 concerts list?
Why does everyone hate Nickelback? They're a good band!

Should Kings Island Change Their 2013 Season Pass Prices?
Well I don't know how they are doing economically but $69.99 is not very much money to pay to be able to go to Kings Island anytime you want and be able to go on rides early, as well as join the FUN Perks program. It should be $89.99 for the fall sale, maybe even just $79.99.

Soak City Disappointment?
I think they need to expand the dining area where the bar is (I have no clue what it's called) because it's pretty pointless to have a band play there when there's no room for people to sit. At least that's how it was when I went. I wanted to listen to the band but there was no room to sit.

White Water Canyon 2012 Poll
I honestly don't think it goes fast enough and I wish the height requirement for it was lower. After all, it's supposed to be a FAMILY ride.
