  1. unfortunately, we don't even have enough for the first payment right now.
  2. I won't be able to renew my pass by midnight, but I could do it by tuesday. I'm really depressed about this since I've had a pass since 2009. it's the same card, even. I remember at least one time in the past, seeing a commercial about them extending the period of time that you can buy a gold pass. do they typically do this? I hope they do this year :( yeah, I know i should have taken care of it sooner...
  3. whenever I am coming off Banshee and walking down the stairs, I try to let others in front of me, because for some reason I can't help but imagine being stuck in front of someone who couldn't handle the ride and they empty their stomach contents on me or my shoes. >_>
  4. lots of people on instagram comments went right to Vortex. could that be it? with the whole "the air is eerily calm" comment :s between Vortex and Firehawk I'd rather see Firehawk go since I don't get to ride it often since it requires a locker. but I don't want anything to leave ;'(
  5. I agree OP front seat on The Bat is very fun!! I love spotting a rainbow on the Diamondback splashdown (: I like cutting through the festhaus for the sights the smell of panda express (usually can't afford to eat in park...)
  6. I finally rode it yesterday during my first 2017 visit and I was giggling like a madwoman throughout the entire ride. I rode in the front seat on the left. I can't really say "I loved it" "it's my new favorite" or anything like that but it was definitely fun! the wait time was also a little deceiving, the line didn't look too bad from the front but we didn't notice how nested the queue is, lol
  7. when you read and watch media day reviews longingly and a little jealously. how do you guys manage to become a part of these things?? lol
  8. Hi all, I have a question and I hope it isn't an annoying one! I can see from the park's website that they are open 10am-10pm on opening day. I am wondering if they are letting gold pass holders in any earlier like they would on other regular days? Basically, just wondering what time I should aim to arrive at the park : ) (I am a gold pass holder) I am normally a bit of a night owl so I want to get the maximum amount of sleep that I can (if I can manage to get any sleep with the anticipation building!!)
  9. maybe it's because it's within view of Delirium, but the one time I rode the skyflyer, it felt like a vertical Delirium ride lol Delirium is possibly my favorite ride in the park so I quite enjoyed it! if you like Delirium I think there is a good chance you would enjoy the skyflyer.
  10. when an unseasonably nice day in february makes you think "today is great Kings Island weather!"
  11. I think it's time for me to find some good cargo shorts i've also seen people mention running belts as a good way to store keys, wallet etc.
  12. I'm disappointed. I rarely ride anything that requires lockers. if they were free of charge, sure.
  13. I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. Do you guys think there will be bins in the station at mystic timbers? Also, will there be first rider shirts on public opening day?
  14. It'll almost definitely be mystic timbers! any other time, my first ride is Diamondback.
  15. How is it today? Sundays in the fall are my favorite time to go and I haven't been, I'm itching to go. lol
  16. last day of weekday operation this season, I wish I could've made it there, I prefer going during weekdays but have only been on saturdays and sundays this year. P:
  17. Thank you for sharing this link! watching those live streams is really fun I wish there were more webcams. I see the Diamondback queues are about half full right now. Not as bad I would have suspected.
  18. I bet this will make for a fantastic night ride, and it'll feel nice and cool on a hot day.
  19. hey all, I'd like to visit the park today and maybe get a midnight ride on something! But whether or not I visit could be depending on the heat or if this thread reports heavy crowds. I prefer sundays but alas, sundays aren't open until midnight. So if anyone is at the park today and wouldn't mind telling about the crowds that would be nice or if anyone wants to share with me your tips on reading the crowds from home, like webcams perhaps? I've never known where to look for those (it's probably obvious though).
  20. I have good memories with it, and I really miss it. I used to only get to visit KI on days that Kahn's had a picnic there (her workplace), she would bring me along as her ride buddy. I convinced her to go on Son of Beast with me. It was my first 'looping' coaster. The last time I remember riding it, I was visiting with my bf. I forgot to tie my hair up before the ride started and it got in the way of the poor girls behind us. D: I heard one of them going "her hair..!" as it was whipping out behind me lol XD also, I can't remember if it was The Beast or junior, but I just remembered a time when I was littler, coming off the ride with blood running down my leg, the ride had ripped the scab right off of a spot on my leg
  21. ^ I was afraid of that... anyone there today to vouch for the crowds? I want t go and play with pokemon go at the park
  22. How are the lines today? Is stuff even open? I kinda want to go despite the rain. Or maybe tomorrow
  23. Cool, that's a situation I always wondered about but never knew how it would work out!
  24. I forgot to mention that it occurred to me later why they may have moved the DDR machine. The sign outside The Beast arcade says "DDR" and in the last season there was no DDR machine in there. Also maybe they want to put more of the games in there that don't give tickets/points when you play *shrug*
  25. Woohoo I'm so happy to be back at Kings Island again! my bf and I arrived around 2, we only rode Diamondback, WindSeeker, Delirium, shake rattle and roll, and the monster. we stood in quite a long line for some thick cut fries in rivertown after riding Diamondback. When we stopped into The Beast arcade I was surprised to see a DDR machine in there, the machine from the coney mall arcade at that. But I was happy to see the prize redemption table actually being staffed. we played some games (mostly plucky ducky - we walked away with 5 ducks lol) and also played some points games and got some little knickknacks. About DDR, I was pleased to see it was 50 cents. But not too pleased to see the up arrow was having issues. since the 2014 season I think it's had an issue. I just play on the player 2 side. I'm not sure yet what to think of the game cards. They are kind of cool with how they record the games you played and stuff.. but it was fun sometimes finding tokens on the ground in random places in the park and having a big pile of physical tickets to redeem. P: also, I overheard at least 3 people talking about the cards in a disappointed way.
