  1. It's not the first time it has happened, I have seen pictures of them pulling the train back to the station. Many things can cause a coaster to valley, wind speed and direction are the usual suspects at CP being off of Lake Erie.
  2. Fury 325 and Leviathan both use traditional chain lift hills, I don't see why B&M, (if they are building our new coaster) would decide to switch and use a cable lift on a Giga.
  3. I have not ridden Fury but I have ridden I305, Leviathan and Millennium Force, along with Diamondback, Intimidator, and Behemoth, and each coaster is different, and provides, different G forces, I305 was quite forceful compared to the B&M coasters which focus on airtime but the B&M Giga's showcase speed and give an overall different experience during the ride
  4. Being that CP is alot closer to me since I live in Mid-Michigan, I have to say that Maverick, Millennium Force, and Wicked Twister are great rides and I also loved El Toro, I305, and Skyrush. That being said, I would like to see Intamin return to making installations in the U.S. but do I think it will happen anytime soon, not really. Not since they have a spotty record with safety and reliability.
  5. All this talk of credits and Cowboy coasters is way too funny! I litterally laughed out loud, but if by some strange twist BeastGal's husband is legit we will all be eating our words, or text, or whatever including myself. Just my two cents, I don't think Cedar Fair has any interest in building a potentially dangerous ride from Intamin anytime soon. And if this project is indeed a Giga I believe it will be from B&M. And although I was on the fence about DA possibly moving into Rivertown about 20-30 pages back, the recent tweet from KIPR pretty much says "we are building something here" not moving something here. It will be fun to watch construction take place over the summer.
  6. Exactly! What good is a "free" or discounted coaster if it suffers from major issues with downtime, or even worse has to be reprofiled like I305 or the Cowboy Coaster, thanks but no thanks Intamin lol
  7. @bm0324 I agree 100%, they want nothing to do with Intamin at this point, alleged credits or not lol
  8. My real dream is that KI would get the 1st Cedar Fair RMC installation!!! Maybe Cedar Fair could test out RMC at KI and then reprofile Mean Streak at CP afterwards...
  9. I agree KI could use a newer woodie, A GCI twister would probably give KI the best wooden line up in the midwest, hell maybe even the entire midwest, if not for El Toro at 6 Flags GrAdventure and Voyage at HW, I would have said this side east of the Mississippi lol
  10. True story!!! I wish he had a chance to release a book and tell his side of things!
  11. I agree KIfan73!!! Being an old school coaster fanactic and following Cedar Fair through the great Kinzel era I wish I could be privy to the meetings that take place during planning for major attractions! #bucketlist
  12. Sorry Terp I forgot about those, I usually head back towards Coney Mall after a few laps on FOF
  13. A new coaster in Coney Mall, in the current Dinosaurs Alive location would revive Coney Mall and increase foot traffic in that area of the park. Coney Mall did recieve new pavement just a few years ago, maybe that was part of a 5 year plan lol
  14. The area where Dinosaurs Alive currently resides is indeed quite rugged (and undeveloped for lack of a better word), but I agree that the area reaching out towards Action Zone, behind X-Base, is already more developed with maintenance roads and would require less trees being removed for park expansion. That is unless our new 5 year plans calls for X-Base to finally be expanded and get real restrooms and dining options
  15. I was kinda thinking the same thing when I mentioned a few pages back that the tree clearing could possibly be for a train reroute, the trees could be removed in paths for a new location for Dinosaurs Alive as well. But I still am not completely sure either way that all this construction is for a coaster for 2017. It could be, as I suggested before, construction for a bigger project coming in 2018. If Rivertown is to receive a new coaster maybe the infrastructure of that area needs to be updated to accommodate the crowds. Even with Banshee being built 2014, Action Zone is usually a much less crowded area of the park than Rivertown. WWC getting a queue/exit reroute, trees removed as far as Picnic Grove all the way out near Vortex, many things are still a mystery at this point...
  16. When I made the post about King Cobra I thought my sarcasm was apparent lol, I was making reference to my previous post about getting a new B&M stand up coaster and the revival of the King Cobra name as KI previously brought The Bat back. I unfortunately had the privilege of riding Shockwave at Kings Dominion and would not wish that headache on anyone
  17. Every since Thunderbird opened at Holiday World I have been hoping for a multi launch coaster like Maverick or Helix from B&M.
  18. No its not, its just in the outer limits of the park...Not anymore. It's since been scrapped, parted out, and the trains were sent to Dominion. Shockwave has since been retired though, maybe we can ask for them back lol
  19. I like that idea!!! It would fit right in with Banshee and The Bat in Action Zone!
  20. I was totally joking but we can't forget that The Bat was "gone" following the 1993 season and made a comeback so we never know if the name could return for nostalgic reasons, just no more Beast related names for a while, we know how that turned out, one Beast is good enough for me!
  21. Cedar Fair should have some extra Standup trains... Edit: King Cobra return??? They did revive The Bat...hmmm....
  22. Back on topic... I hope that the Crypt building is put to use soon, it is just sitting there, sticking out like a sore thumb all season, it's kind of sad. TR:TR was amazing in it's first few seasons, a top notch attraction.
  23. We received Diamondback in 2009, 20 yrs after Magnum opened at Cedar Point... We recieved Banshee in 2014, 20 yrs after Raptor opened at Cedar Point... We must be getting a B&M Standup next!!! That way we can market it as a new coaster halfway through it's shelf life!!! (Insert sarcastic face here)
