  1. It's not crazy, even I do all of my Christmas shopping in July, candles for everyone on my list...
  2. May this be the return of our woodies? I like this coaster, only to hope that CF will place a new SOB II (no problems, and NO(wooden)) than a steel coaster at KI.
  3. I have heard so many people bring up "KIC" or any KIC member at Kings Island, is anyone else hearing this too? One person said "I use KIC for all of my Kings Island news" and I said in a quick aside "Check the website".
  4. Alright, let's ignore the long hike statement for a moment. Even if the train was used as transport, it'd lead to a large concrete area with zero functioning attractions and very little opportunity to theme or do anything. It'd be better off to just utilize a pre-existing area in the main park, such as parts of Planet Snoopy. Poo jokes? And you were the one who got annoyed when I called you a fanboy before? No....pool joke, I wasnt annoyed, just a clarification, of not being a "Fanboy", "Fan" or "boy".
  5. Agreed. Also, whats the point of keeping 'ol Patrick? Does Cedar Fair have to return all the old Nick props back to Nickelodeon or does he have future potential? The same reason why people collect junk, they are hoarders. Meanwhile, one can find many past things in the "field", like a few BB things.
  6. Because Emporium is built to sell merchandise, not food. It'd be a large undertaking to convert it into a functioning candy shop, one with all the required cookware (sinks, fridges, etc.). The Fudge and Candy Shop already has this stuff and is fully capable of making more than just fudge. Last I checked, they serve caramel apples, chocolate-covered sweets, and more. All overpriced, but still not just fudge. Then they'd have a long hike to the real park... no matter how you try to defend it, using Soak City is a bad idea. 1. I some how forgot about the names of the I-street locations, I meant the "International Street Candy Store 2. Howl a pooloza (There is a reason to the Pooloza wording)
  7. I dont like Drop Towers, infact I dont like Drop Towers at all...
  8. Why convert one store into a candy shop when there is already a candy store functioning perfectly across the street? Many rides are inoperable below a certain temperature, especially roller coasters. And who in their right mind would want to ride Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown in the winter? Even with the train as transport, the water park is a hike from the rest of the park. Add the freezing temperatures, and there is absolutely nothing appealing about walking all the way there. So a major disappointment and a waste of time? Beyond these complaints, the use of the whole park in unrealistic... miscellaneous minor construction projects are underway, many rides need rebuilt, and staffing enough employees is unrealistic. Besides, it's highly unlikely you could harness enough guests to make an event even a fraction of this size profitable. A- Why not? the other side is mainly for fudge. B- I was thinking of the flats, and mini coasters, I did infact forget the log flume C- What if one were to be parked there? D- I meant a few years before when it had certain themes, personally it wasnt that bad This is just a question, pessimistic or optimistic? Note: These are just ideas, not what the park should do.
  9. Coming after a brief discussion of Winterfest, I began to think, what would KIC's Winterfest be? My own would be like so: Kings Island: International Street: With the E-Tower lit up as it was years before, as a Christmas tree, it is the center of the street Themed to be a mix of Christmas across the world, German, English, Mexican, and other festive feels Carolers meandering the crowds singing songs of classic Christmas The 80's store is now "Santa's Toy Shop" with Christmas ornaments, hats, shirts, jackets, toys, and other fine apperal and other KI materials The International Street Candy Store is now "Ye Olde Candy Shop" with an english Christmas theme, reminising of "A Christmas Carol" and other classic Christmas books The Kings Island sign is now "Kings Island's Winterfest" At the E-Tower, Christmas presents are scattered around, with names of Kings Island employees, and possibly KIC members The Stage now holds Christmas trees all around The Fountain will be a Ice Skating Rink Tower Gardens is a Christmas Light walkthrough In the Kings Island theater, Santa in his workshop is there for a photo op Planet Snoopy Themed to be the Christmas specials A Snoopy meet and greet at the shop, with Christmas items for all children Christmas trees are scattered across the area All of the rides in Planet Snoopy are open All of the rides have some sort of Christmas theme or idea to them Hot Cocoa, and "Christmas Dinners" now served at the food stands "A Peanuts Christmas" at the theater of PS Peanuts decorations for Christmas posted Soak City: Themed to be a Beach Christmas Playing Christmas music sung around the West, Polynesia, South America's and Carribean (Beach Boys, Feliz Navidad!, etc) Christmas trees with clams, shells, starfish, sand dollars, and other ornaments scattered accross the waterpark Santa in more tropical clothing at "Seaside Supplies" Lights all across the area Tropical Wreaths around the waterpark River Town: Themed to be a Western Christmas Train is themed to be what it was the last Winterfest Lights, and Christmas trees all across the area Western like Christmas songs played throughout the area River Town Junction has a "Christmas Buffet" filled with Christmas classics like Cranberries, Ham, and other foods In The Beast turn around, a Christmas light show is now located, viewing at the line and station Coney Mall: Themed to be a "Christmas carnival" With rides like the Monster, Scrambler, and other operational rides Christmas trees and lights scattered accross the area Hot Cocoa, and regular season specialties sold at the Jukebox Diner and other food stands Plays classic Christmas songs Now called "Christmas Mall" Carolers meander the Mall Both or Vortex's loops are now wreaths OktoberFest: Themed to be a German Christmas German music played Christmas trees scattered accross the area Festhaus now serves foods served in Winterfest's past A North Pole themed musical plays in the Festhaus Christmas garland, lights and trees scattered inside Festhaus Mexican restaurant closed, Beirgarten is open Action Zone: Themed to be more of an Ski-Snowboarding teen Christmas TSO, and rock Christmas songs played The Water Tower is now a Christmas tree Can be operated rides will be in operation Gift shop holds Winterfest and KI items At the walkway to SOBRIP, and FD "Silent Night instrumental" is played, with candles near the SOBRIP. 10. Well, being a "X-Disney Disciple" he probably loves the little things hinted that many just look over. See Expedition Everist, brake section I, right side.
  11. ....Or possibly go to the Airbrush T-shirt booth, get airbrushed "KIC MEMBER (Insert your name here) (Insert photo here)", which I'll probably get a BB1 or Boomerang Bay logo t-shirt sometime this next 2013 year. Or a name tag that says Hi My Name Is BB1 Although mine would have G'day! my name is BB1 Welcome to the Bay!
  12. Next year in 2013, I will be making the journey to Carowinds. So, from your experiences, what are the do's at Carowinds/Boomerang Bay? Thanks in advance!
  13. It looks like you all had fun! I had a kick out of TheCrypt in his momentous part.
  14. I wonder, what is the ultimate KIC 2012 ride counts? If someone counts them, please make a topic.
  15. This is just too sad to even read. 1. Its hard to fathom seing one's own son getting mauled by things that wish to kill 2. I wish that the boy was not inside this incident period. There is a reason why we dont like things that kill things, they kill us. 3. My prayers go out to those who are affected by this.
  16. Same deal with Adventure Express - it dropped from three to two trains a couple years ago. some Boomerang Bay fanboy. Well, I am no "fanboy", not even a boy at all. Although he probably know much more things of the park than some department complex on KIC.
  17. Is it just deja vu or has a flame war happened with Az once before? Anyways, this is probably another Dippin Dots guy's stories from the inner workings of his mind.

But what about Beast? Also, its not a democracy anymore, its a absolute monarchy, to the middle europe we go! (Not old english, thats beowulf style)
  19. BB1 replied to jcgoble3's topic in KI Polls
Well, lets begin our political campaign "Ahem, for 8 years we served as your president and vice president for the water side of the park. We beat WaterWorks in a landslide victory in the fall of 2003. Today we ask for you, the voter, the KIC fanatic, the deciding factor between the greatest park in the nation or the worst, to vote for Tasmanian Typhoon for president, and Crocodile Run for Vice President. Change, is that what we really needed? Less relaxation in a winding river, colors that are so bright one may think its a teenage dream, and decorations amiss. They kept some of the Boomerang Bay party, but not enough for Kings Island. Vote back for Boomerang Bay 2013, a rare gem in the Cedar Fair chain. Broadcasted by the Boomerang Bay party 2013." Wood, Beast is good!
  20. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, steel to steel. The process of life, one is made, runs, and dies, for example a few of the slides at the latter WaterWorks. To me, this is great news! With the ride gone, a new ride put in, like a clone! *as BB1 said in a sarcastic tone* If it goes, it will be missed, but if it stays well congratulations Vortex riders, you may ride on
  21. When is it ok for a store to be decorated for Christmas? When do you think a radio station should start to play Christmas music? I personally think on or after the 1st of November for the songs, around mid November before the Thanks Giving holiday for the decorations.

1 its not a bubble bath, its a hot tub 2 I think of BB yes, I only worship God 3 I have yet to make signs, but that isnt a bad idea.. Also, everyone knows my natural habitat is not at Soak City.
  23. Why do we call "pineapples" "pineapples", when they dont even grow on pine trees? Also, my hypothesis on the equation to joy Joy=pi (as in, with pie, one can find joy)
  24. BB1 posted a topic in KI Polls
Back to the "ye ole poll board", do you want off season tours? If so, which kind(s) of tours would you like? Personally, I would just want a tour of Kings Island in the winter when there is snow on the ground. Also, a tour of the Waterpark, Soak City it sounds like a great time to see the park in it's "slumber" so to speak.
  25. Some how, I thought that Coast Rider would go to Knott's, it seemed fitting. Although, I would send the eagles to Kings Island, it is a ride that many would like.
