Did you account for the land in the sky? I heard there's ghost riders who ride up there, when I was on the train.
  2. BB1 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in KI Polls
What I meant, was that I do not know the approximate information. One as in I, I am sorry for the confusion Terp. I wonder what KI would be like with the properties they owned today.
  3. BB1 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in KI Polls
As my dad always says "Life is tough, deal with it." Infact, I believe Kings Island owned more properties in Mason than they do now, that is a estamate, one (as in I) may only speculate(d) on land ownage and other information.
  4. Well, that would be alot of money. I like the idea of Phantom Theater returning to our park, but its just too much money, reno+redo of the characters+set up= Too much money.
  5. The only things that really stood out to me was the food options, thats it. The waterpark, well we all know that story, it needed TLC not renovatonee. All in all this year was a year of well, loss of a few of our favorite rides/areas, and barely any good things, except for the SOB having a large NO for operation, that made my year.
  6. Idiots, can be found naturally in the wild of our Kings Island's savannah. I wish your last trip was better than what it was, but thanks for the TR!
  7. So, walking in my old footsteps of my last day rituals, I had a idea of making a thread for people looking for the best last day. Do- Take advantage of last minute sales of merchandise Do a last ride of your favorite ride at Kings Island Do have a great time Dont- Not take advantage of some of the great deals Not do a last ride Not have a great time
  8. May this be the next "lineage" of rides? Ghost Rider, Coast Rider, just like our Beast, Beastie, and Son of Beast chain I could guess.
  9. We all have them, dreams of Diamondback, Water Works, Boomerang Bay, and maybe a SOB even. So, this is the thread to where you could post your dreams. "a new day at Boomerang Bay" I had a dream which Paramount retook our beloved Kings Island and brought back every piece of BB. The new pool was destroyed for the Platypus Run (at another park) with new landscaping too. All of the slides were the BB style once again, with other places painted back to its "glory". Soak City seemed inexistant, including the enterance. "SOB's last ride" Now this was last night. I had a dream which the SOB reopened with a new layout. Instead of the usual drop, it was a literal drop to the ground, then the rest of the coaster. After you went back up to the drop off point which is a hut with BB items (odd) then once again you fall to the coaster. What are your dreams of ki?
  10. Energy drinks? Vault, please give us Vault!
  11. Was he a dippin dots vender too? I would think that the WindSeekers will stay in operation, in a SOBNO state at the present moment, until futher notice. Safety is #1, but with safety you must also make a profit, should it stay or should it go now? I wish for it to stay, but I would be alright for it to go.
  12. Well, the season only has three operating days left, making the 2012-2013 off season come quickly, it feels like the opening day was just last week! Soon visions of riding our favorite rides like Diamondback, The Beast, and others will come into our dreams, or of being in one of Kings Island's two wavepools (or of a past waterpark that we know BB1 loves, and dreams about ). Which makes many, including KIC, wonder, what may be redone or refurbished this off season? I believe the big bundle of sticks will be taken down (I knew someone would say that), and or a refurbishment of the Oktoberfest or Action Zone area(s). I hope everyone has a fun, and safe off season. Happy nastalgia!
  13. BB1 replied to DiamondBack27's topic in Rumors
So im guessing that Dane or Avatar is the head professor, Interpreter being the paleontologist, and many more references?
  14. BB1 replied to DiamondBack27's topic in Rumors
(insert glados pun and welcoming to KIC here) Well, this isnt shocking to see, welcome to kic!
  15. One day it will, please see International Street, Boomerang Bay, and other KI areas.
  16. I suspect well nothing, absolutely nothing. Our "little" SOB dismantlement is our 2013 project, its a shame really, I would think that we would at least get some new things that dont have to do with the "waterpark of FUN".
  17. While I was scouraging around the youtube, I found actually walk-throughs of Soak City (meh, its still BB on the inside), and other walk-throughs of Kings Island as the sounds of Soak City and Kings Island.
  18. I have heard of this attraction, and all that I could think of is "Bruised are the ones of the attraction!". 1. Protection is needed so then you wouldnt get lawsuits in your mail box 2. Like the safety of guests, the safety of the "scarers" should be top priority on the minds of the attraction operators. Now for a theme with major amounts of armour ontop of the "zombies" is a "spartan" or "gladiator" theme in the attraction. Seriously this is Haunted House 101 even I know this and I dont even have a haunted house yet! I feel deeply sorry and I am praying for the protection and healing of those hurt in the conditions portrayed.
  19. A hanging scene, this has been here for years...This scene is intended for older audiences, for blood, death, and darkness are some of the main themes of a haunted attraction. Now he may be speaking about the "Zombie Exhibit" that has some many gruesome things, which again it is intended for older audiences, for blood, death, zombies, and darkness are some of the main themes of this Haunt.
  20. Did you look at the world's longest wooden rollercoaster's son while you were there? Thanks for the TR!
  21. The sound of people skiding and failing to go down the Coolang......erm Rendezvous Run The sound of the waves of Breakers Bay?? The sound of The Beast climbing up the lift hill The sounds of people saying the darnest things The sounds of BB1 talking about Boomerang Bay The sounds of the Diamondback flaring out of its first drop & many, many more
  22. Well I think that I should publically say my feelings. I think that KI did a terrible job in their decorating of the park, like many others have said at the park, "Where are the tombstones of the past rides?" "Where are the barons?" "Where are the skeletons representing the Haunts?" "Where are the carnival gone wrong theme to Carn-evil?" and "Why is there eyes? Those are not scary". Even for a Cedar Fair Haunt, its trash! It has gone under par for the Haunt, it looks as if the I-Street is just a random place with no theming! Things like the web, the gravestones of the old rides, and other things that just seem lacking. I know that I may just be sounding like a enthusiast, but I am saying this as a patron of the park, although there is great theming in some spots, most spots in my book are lacking.
  23. Do you think that Kings Island did a great job this year? Or do you believe that they flopped in the theme this year? Note: This is not a "degrating" topic, this is only for the views of KIC to be expressed in the way(s) KIC wishes.
  24. BB1 replied to chimpy2000's topic in Trip Reports
This is just a trip report from a friend of mine of two of the haunts from last night (I am sorry for "piggy-backing" your topic!) Holiday Horror- Least themed haunt, it was under par even for a Cedar Fair haunt. She thought that a santa claus would be good for the Christmas setting, and also "please add more scare-actors". Her favorite part was the Thanksgiving room for a few reasons (reasons you will just have to find out) Carn-Evil- This was a fun haunt in her eyes. There was the first scare-actor that made her laugh at what he said about what she said. She loved the bubbles that glowed in the black light, and she thought the scare-actors were doing a great job.
