Trying to answer this question to the best of my ability...... We'll...... It depends on what type of show your talking about....

Dauling Dragons uses PTC trains. Just sayin'. Reference coaster_junky's post. Dauling Dragons was supposed to get Timberliners, just like Voyage. Neither coaster currently operates with them. Sure sounds like they have quite the handle on them. Every prototype in the theme park industry has its struggles and problems whether thats during the designing stages or the testing stages, including Timberliner wooden coaster trains.

I don't see this happening anytime soon.....But, Anybody wanna see a Dinosaur themed coaster back there?

The only dissapointing thing Kings Island has done lately in my opinion was make that statement, To make Dinosaurs Alive bigger.......

Anybody else think Kings Island should get an Intamin pre-fab like Colossos?

Definitly give Intimidator a try, its a pretty cool coaster, and both Hurler and Thunder road are both decent coasters if you like wooden. As far as Boomerang Bay at Carowinds goes, in my opinion it is directed more towards "small" children and I didnt really find it all that great but there is a pretty good waterslide complex called Pipeline Peak and a large wave pool along with a few family rides. Honestly my favorite ride in the park was the inverted B&M coaster, Afterburn.

Great Idea! At least if another wooden hyper coaster came to Kings Island now, technology has advanced since the age of SOB and maybe a smarter plan would be made for such a coaster.

Greg Scheid just posted something on twitter that said "Watch the Skyline change thursday......" I'm sure that is directed towards SOB......

I wonder if Kings Island PR laughs at all The Vortex rumors they hear every year? First it was sinking, Now its leaving.....

That would be great!! I would still love to see a new woodie at Kings Island in the coming years, And If they were to save part of the first hill it would literally have to be part of it because most of the first drop is already almost gone. I highly doubt any of it will be saved though....

Last time I checked, You were right terpy......Unless! Removing the loops of Vortex is part of the Son of Beast Masterplan.........

Apollo Global, the company that would have bought out FUN for $11.50 a unit had Dick Kinzel had his way, owns Great Wolf now. I'm quite certain they'd happily sell the Mason lodge or the entire company to FUN for the right price. That price might or might not be quite high. I can already hear the news.... "Cedar Fair Entertainment Company has now re-opened what used to be Great Wolf Lodge of Mason OH, It is now The ALL NEW Kings Island Lodge ....

I personally disagree, I mean if you think about it, Son of Beast may have failed but it was a wooden hyper-coaster reching speeds of 78 mph and topping at heights over 200 ft. with a vertical loop.

I remember when The Crypt being removed was just a rumor........Sometimes it makes you wonder......

We'll, topper track technology has advanced quite a bit in the past few years.... I mean, Just think about The NEW Texas Giant compared to Outlaw Run and Iron Rattler...... Iron Rattler 2013, 1 barrel roll, 171 ft., 70 mph Outlaw Run 2013, 162 ft. drop, 68 mph, Double Barrel Roll

Has anyone drove past Kings Island and got any Son of Beast demo pictures since closing?

Wow!! Thats pretty cool, I like how you were able to match each photo from the same position. Everytime I see the old SOB half torn apart, I think about the old days when trains still ran the rails of the wooden monstrosity.
