I do think I am a KI enthusiast to a pretty hardcore level but not anywhere near the KI enthusiast dude. More than anything I am an enthusiast of The Beast.

Maybe Kings Island will save some peice of the ride? They could put it out for show in one of the shops or something.....

I'm not sure why they would all get dismanteled because of a most likely fixable problem........

It could take up to a month but at the speed that they took that one small section out, I'm guessing about a month in a half if they keep at the same speed?

Is it just me, or does it seem like Six Flag's SkyScreamers brake down far, far less than Cedar Fair's WindSeekers?

I agree with Terpy and also, What about Six Flags New Orleans? They are planning on turning it into an outlet mall and possibly using 1-2 of the coasters. Every roller coaster at that park is rusted in some way, Most of them are literally starting to fall apart.

Which rides do you guys think could still be used? I'm not so sure that Greezed Lightnin' will be able to run anymore......

and the $$ they get from P&G will makeup for the loss of the passes. You are assuming it is P&G. I will check with a friend as they are employees of P&G and see when their KI event is. Actually he is not assuming, If you looked on Kings Island's park webcams during the day today, There was clearly a sign on the Eiffel Tower that said "P&G"

X Base deserves some new rides.I'd put KD's shockwave in xbase, rename it to hoverboard or something sci-fi and repaint it white with blue supports. Or you could just call it Son Of King Cobra.
