I will say that when people say that "CP has a lot better coaster" it's kind of an uneducated statement. If you actually look at facts, they aren't that far ahead. I think CP's rides are more "in your face" and therefore make it seem better. Banshee is definitely in your face, and so is Diamondback... So that's a CF era that has closed the differences gap.. Slightly.

I think they're both great parks. But I never have the nastalgic feeling at CP like I do at KI. That could be because I grew up with KI and not CP. But I do think CP doesn't have the same family-fun/go multiple times pull that KI has.

I think a minimal amount of theming goes a long way. If the station looks as awesome as it does in the renderings... then that will be good enough for me.

I don't think the two parks will ever be the same. But over time the popularity could shift to Kings Island. Everything that Cedar Point has is something Kings Island could one day have, except for the lake.

I have been seeing a lot of comments on Kings Island's Facebook page saying "Kings Island will be the next Cedar Point". Personally in a way I think this is true. What do you guys think?

I was just thinking, Adventure Express looks like it's going to lose a bit of its "through the wood" type feeling. That's a little sad. I mean I know that Son of Beast used to be right there... but it was wooden and therefore blended in better with the trees. Oh well I will still love Adventure Express

Am I the only one who finds it really hard to see what's going on on the webcams? There's a lot going on in that part of the ride and from the cameras angles it's hard to see.

Well I mean it's in general taller, and longer.

Diamondback is at least a good bit larger, so that could be a reason as well.

The snow on the ground makes it a lot easier to see what they're doing cause of the contrast, but it also makes it look like Spring will never get here.

I do hope that the camera gets tilted as well. But we might be asking too much. I guess we are lucky to have a second camera that we weren't supposed to get anyways.

I agree, I feel like there are certain rides they shouldn't remove with the Antique Cars being on of them, but then things like Thunder Alley made sense to remove.

Personally I miss Scooby's Ghoster Coaster. I haven't figured out why they couldn't have positioned Surf Dog in such a way that they could both be there. However I'm sure there's some reason that I'm not aware of for the removal of the coaster.

I'm almost as excited about the station as I am about the ride itself. The exit stairs look really cool.

I like when you try to explain stuff to people and they either shrug it off or ignore the fact that (as in this case) the item in question is directly in front of them... Why do you think the metal breaks go up after the train launches.... I know right. But let's be honest most people barely know the name of rides let alone notice the brakes. Especially people like her.

If there is a retheming that's going to occur, I imagine it will be painting mostly, and so they would probably wait a bit longer for the weather to get a bit better. The only other thing they would have to really do for a rethemed is new signage, which they could be doing in secret, and maybe remove the awful AZ circle.

Last summer I was in line for Top Thrill, and my friend was talking about how she wanted a roll back, and this lady in front of us turned around and gave us this nasty look and said "You actually think that would happen? We would all die you know". Then I tried to explain to her that it had brakes in case it rolled back, but she still didn't believe me.

You are right! I do bring my spare car key, and wear it on a lanyard around my neck. So it's just the key, and the wallet.

When I go to KI, all I bring is my wallet. No phone, nothing. It's nice to not have anything to worry about, other people should try it. It's supposed to be about the rides, yet some people act like they're moving in.

Looks pretty lonely on the webcams today. It would be cool if after the track work was completed if we saw our new webcam get relocated to a close up of the station.
