News papers have speculated before (ala Gatekeeper) as a result of a "marketing leak" which would then spread the word to almost everyone who read/watches the news.

If this blue print was so easy to access, anyone think that this blue print could have been made by Kings Island....as a fake??? DIVERSION
-
This have gotten really interesting....I think we pretty much know what is coming now.

Vekoma and Chance Morgan designed the Dive Pretzel concept but it has yet to be built. (It was going to be built at the Orlando Thrill Park but the park got rejected to be built in the first place). http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/themeparks/la-trb-otp-dive-pretzel-20102411-p,0,6000573.photo EDIT: I still believe B&M was also involved at one point as the concept art looks like B&M track and not of the other two manufactures; this has never been confirmed though

^Go to page 1 and read the very first post.

By getting a family to record the announcment, I just have to wonder how this ride/addition will not be leaked.
-
The track in the picture is indeed inverted coaster storage track. Just look at pictures of storage track for any of B&M's Inverted Coaster's. Not all their track...mostly for North America though there are exceptions. There is an Italin company that also helps out with manufacutring for European/over-seas B&M coasters.

Falcons Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa
Dom497 replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Just a small update: residents living close to BGT have filed a noise complaint due to the the construction taking place at night for Falcon's Fury. http://www.baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/news/article.html/content/news/articles/bn9/2013/7/26/busch_gardens_contru.html -
Carowinds Windseeker Malfunction
Dom497 replied to Leland Wykoff's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Here is what I see in the future: Knott's is going to reopen WindSeeker. Within a few weeks the ride is going to stop again. The safety board (or whoever originally shut down the Knott's model) is going to shut the ride down again. Knott's will then make the decision to remove WindSeeker. The WindSeeker's at the other parks will likely remain in operation until some sort of decision is made by Cedar Fair officials. -
It's either that or continue confusing everybody with the semi-geeky discussion. At least I can laugh at the arguments over Intafail and Boring & Mediocre. You calling me a geek? I'm can rest a sure you that I am not (other than the fact that this URL stuff isn't confusing me...its pretty simple if you explain it well...which I'm not doing a good job of)....I'm just decoding. Any discussion of the intricacies of URLs, or any highly technical discussion for that matter, has a geekiness level above zero. We probably confused three-fourth of all KICers in that discussion. So I'm not calling you a geek (a badge that I proudly wear myself), but the discussion was kinda geeky. EDIT: See the post immediately above for evidence that we were either confusing or boring people with that discussion. Oh well, life shall now move on.

^NOOOOOOOO!!!! Anything but that!!!
-
I'm still scratching my head wondering why he would need help with the announcement. Guess we got to wait 'till tomorrow.
-
I'm not trying to argue either. All is good! Just because Banshee has the https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee url, that doesn't mean it would have the other until later on.
-
Very true. CP web developers did a very good job in testing the Gatekeeper page last year.
-
If you don't like talking about URL's, you made a good choice.
-
Because Diamondback never and still doesn't have that URL! It works the exact same way as Cedar Point...just minor differences in URL formats (which doesn't change anything). EDIT: Don is probably calling the webmasters/developers over to laugh at us!
-
You don't seem to be understanding me (which is fine, I understand ). For new rides, CF uses "www.parkname.com/newridename". The url you using is the general url used for all of the parks attractions. Also, new rides tend to have two pages (or so it seems). https://www.cedarpoint.com/rides/Roller-Coasters/Gatekeeper-NEW-in-2013 (this is a similar "general" url that you are referring to) https://www.cedarpoint.com/Gatekeeper EDIT: After you edited your original post, that is because Diamondback had its own website all together (for whatever reason). http://www.kiDiamondback.com/
-
Your using a different url format you know; not the ones that Cedar Fair now uses for new rides.
-
Not new attractions. Gatekeeper and Gold Striker had their own pages: https://www.cagreatamerica.com/goldstriker https://www.cedarpoint.com/Gatekeeper I'm pretty sure Diamondback did too. Nope, it used the old way that Cedar Fair handled new ride urls, just like Leviathan. (Cedar Fair changed the way they put new attraction web pages in 2013 with Gatekeeper) http://leviathan.canadaswonderland.com/ The ride name was not a subpage of the main url. EDIT: Diamondback had its own website all together: http://www.kiDiamondback.com/

That's not my point. If you type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/2015, you end up at the home page. If your type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/2014, you get the 404. If you type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee, you get the 404. If you type in https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Bansheee, (or anything else) you end up at the homepage. (This one has an extra "e") "2014" and "Banshee" are the only things that give you a 404 error. NOTE: If you click on the links from here, you just go to the homepage, to get the 404 error, you have to type in the rest of the url.

But when you type in anything else, you don't get that. I could be wrong with what I'm "decoding" out of this, but this is just my opinion.
-
I still have a gut feeling that it will be called Banshee after my URL find I mentioned this morning.
-
So why would they be pouring footers in a different area?
