Kings Island 2017 Discussion Thread
I have a question. I've been trying to purchase Fast Lane Plus for Opening Day, and I've tried on the app and on the website and it always gives me this Error message: how do they expect me to buy it if they can't accept my credit card? I have way over the amount of money I need to purchase it. And I'm afraid they're going to sell out if i have to pay with cash on opening day.. "Error Code 592: Due to online security standards your order cannot be processed. Further attempts to process a transaction may result in multiple pending charges by your credit card issuer." *Edit* I didn't realize it said my credit number like that can somebody like delete so i can try and post again cropping that out? Mod edit: replaced the screenshot with text

The Beast vs Mystic Timbers
I was being sarcastic lol. Since Beast closes during Fireworks, Mystic Timbers, can give riders a nice wooden ride at the end of the night without having to wait till 10:45-11 to ride.

The Beast vs Mystic Timbers
The real question is.... Will Mystic Timbers have to close during Fireworks like The Beast has to?

Photo from KingsIslandPR on Snapchat. New Drop Tower Restraints?? I can't tell. *EDIT* It seems as if they've just painted them all black instead of getting new restraints, because the handle bars still look old. Hope im not late on this lol

Kings Island 2017 Discussion Thread
To be honest, as much as I hate paying for lockers to ride certain rides. If it meant not standing for 90 minutes in the Diamondback line (or any line for that matter) directly targeted by the sun... Count me in!!!

Mystic Timbers Construction Progress
I think I have figured it out. Why are the webcams off all the sudden? Near testing time? The answer is simple (and probably incorrect but it doesn't hurt to try) they turned off the cameras because... they don't want people seeing MT go through the second half of the ride backwards because theres a backwards launch! You're welcome. *I say this post with 0 confidence*

Omg RHOF better be on the dining plan! That's the one time during the day I get a break from the heat(without having to go on a water ride) and actually have a nice meal and good service. Please. Please.

Mystic Timbers Construction Progress
Lol I just realized I said Exit Queue. Silly me.

Mystic Timbers Construction Progress
I really hope they separate the Entrance queue from the Exit queue. It would be awful to sit in line and have someone shout out #Whatsintheshed before everyone in line can experience it. I know I'll probably be walking through the park to Mystic Timbers on Opening Day with my earbuds in on full blast to hopefully avoid that conflict lol.

Haunt 2016
Behind Dinosaurs Alive? If that's true I am very excited.

Haunt 2016
A new maze hm? I'm guessing Tombstone is outta here, and maybe putting a new outdoor maze through the back of Planet Snoopy where it's closed off during Haunt? Maybe through the picnic grove route?

Haunt 2016
I'm guessing something-big for the big 15th anniversary of Halloween Haunt. Maybe they'll bring back a few of the old classic mazes for a year to celebrate! Would love a return of Massacre Manor, The Worksite, and Trail of Terror for a year. How cool would that be?!

Decoding Episode 2.5: BONUS ROUND! Second Announcement!
No. This announcement was stated as being for 2017 capital. They're not going to announce it over a year early. And Haunt announcement usually comes around Labor Day. Thats right. I knew that I had a brainfart my bad. Still betting on Flat in The Crypt building, also calling it The Crypt. Reusing the name.

Decoding Episode 2.5: BONUS ROUND! Second Announcement!
Well hang on, now that I think about it, don't they usually announce Haunt mazes/changes and stuff around Mid-August? I'm guessing it may be a very big haunt announcement. I mean considering this year is the 15 year anniversary of Haunt? Makes sense.

Decoding Episode 2.5: BONUS ROUND! Second Announcement!
Or... they could bring back the Top Spin duh. This time it will be a Giant Giant Giant Big Top Spin, it will carry 250 passengers. And it will destroy it self in only 2 years, instead of 10. It will be themed after the hit movie Raider Tomb, that starred Jolie Angelina!

Decoding Episode 2.5: BONUS ROUND! Second Announcement!
Betting on a flat in the building. Speaking of which have always wondered why they have kept The Crypt sign still on the entrance, but only covered by a tarp? Maybe another flat in there also called The Crypt? I mean why else keep the sign? I mean think about it. Every other ride that has been demolished has also had their sign demolished as well... A dark ride is also possible, being called The Crypt. The ride could take you on an exploration through a haunted Crypt? Just a thought...

Haunt 2016
So don't they usually announce Haunt stuff around the end of August?

What's In The Shed!?
Probably a room with the Medusa creature, summoning all the vines. A projection on the walls with vines quickly growing, and the Medusa creature up above with her evil laugh as the vines slow enclose, before we take that very sharp turn back into the station. Just barely avoiding the vines of death. You're Welcome.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
I'm guessing the Shed is going to have the mascot/villian(Medusa figure) of the ride in there, probably with some screens showing vines growing and covering the room before quickly escaping back into the station. And for the second announcement I'm guessing we're getting some kind of Dark Ride(Plants Vs. Zombies) or a Flat in The Crypt building. I think 2017 will be a very successful year for Kings Island. And to all the bummed out Giga Fanboys, this ride is probably here to tide you over until we get our Giga, and to bring in some extra money for it. A few years we will have our Giga. Slow down and enjoy the process.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
At this point I don't really care what we get. I prefer a RMC, but wouldn't care if we got a GCI. I read something on this form about GCI being able to do inversions, honestly I will be fine with whatever we get as long as it barrel rolls over the reservoir (If it does indeed go over the reservoir) I just think that would be an incredible element to have.

A RMC with inversions, speed, airtime, and height. IMO sounds more intriguing than a GCI. And I'm sure the GP thinks the same thing. May I also add, Yes, I understand Cedar Point is the capital park of Cedar Fair, but its kind of annoying when they get everything. They got Gatekeeper, Rougarou, and Valravn. They can settle with a GCI retracking, and let Kings Island get some light, and let us have the first RMC coaster. Or even give both parks the RMC.
-
Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
I'm hoping RMC, but I bet it's a GCI. I trust Kings Island, they "wood"n't want to disappoint their guests.
-
Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
It probably is a GCI, as much as I wanted the first Hybrid coaster to be at Kings Island, it probably won't be. If it were to be a RMC they would've had a lot of potential. But we do not know for sure yet! We will soon enough though!

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
I just do not think a GCI will attract as big of a crowd as everyone is thinking. Sure maybe a little crowd of enthusiasts but this small GCI won't be enough to bring back guests lost to KK, and HW. The GP will think of the ride as "lame" unless there's some kind of kick to it that we do not know of yet. We all know the ride will not be lame, but a lot of the money made is brought in through the GP, and a small tame wooden coaster won't cut it, at least for the GP. That's just what I think though. We are all entitled to our own opinions.
