  1. Well, that cleared that up . I'm with ya on the sure isn't me part. Where's Adam West when you need him.
  2. Am I missing something here? I've read and read, and I just must be missing the whole point.
  3. ^I would say half the people here feel the same way.............Sooner or later we figure it out, too.
  4. I really just think you like confusing us. It really doesn't take much for me
  5. Riddle me this, riddle me that...............
  6. Sometimes, I just have no idea what in the world you guys are talking about.............
  7. I still, to this day, am a big fan of the Flintstones. I just don't think they'd make it very long today. "Wilma, stop cryin' Like that, the neighbors will think I'm beatin' ya" Seen that the other day, I was just floored. Then there was the Winston ads.
  8. There's a couple even I haven't heard of. Jabber Jaw was pretty cool, though.
  9. Never did have a Myspace, having Facebook is bad enough. Will never have Twitter, Instagram, or anything like that
  10. I just do not remember Hillbilly bears. Must've been before my time. The older I get, the more I love to say that.
  11. I quite enjoyed Captain Caveman when I was younger. It was on Boomerang when my kids where younger, they thought it was just one of the dumbest things they had ever seen..........One of my favorites. And Hong Kong Phooey. You just don't see classics like that anymore................
  12. Boy i do love Diamondback. It got me back in the park after a few year of not going. That was the first season my young'uns were tall enough to ride to "big coasters". Even though my oldest girl cried going up the lift, she stuck it out, and we've had alot of great rides since then. That and many other memories of KI with them, is something I will always have. Banshee is something new and gives of a wild, non-stop action packed ride from beginning to end. Something that anyone that comes to KI will enjoy for a long time to come. The new rides they are putting in next year is something, I feel, they are doing to please people that have missed something they once had in their park. Plus something extra for just the kids, too. It's all a matter of what your personal opinion is. There is no wrong answer, as long as you enjoy yourself and are making memories. That's what it's all about.
  13. Pretty cool videos. For once I can say i was too young to remember the park like that. The one time I was gonna go on the Eiffel Tower at night, was 4th of July this year. Was gonna take the wife and girls up about, half hour or a little sooner before 10. and try to get a good spot to watch the fireworks. They didn't even make it till 6:00. So i took them to the hotel room and done the next best thing..............coaster marathoning...........And I still don't even know IF you can go on ET during the fireworks..........
  14. I don't think that's even KI. Maybe some "hollywood magic"? That drop looks like it's to the right of what that dip is. It looks kinda shoddy to me, but I would think that it's not KI.
  15. Scioto County? Shawnee State Park, Jim Dandy, all the Portsmouth excitements, and, back in the day, El Sombrero. How I did love that place.Yeah, I've been there. I've even slept in a tent under the N&W Railroad bridge that crosses into Kentucky (near the pipeline bridge) and swam across the Ohio River there. Of course, I was much younger then. Boy, i sure did enjoy El Sombrero when i was a kid. I still think about that place. Jim dandy was a tire shop for a while. I think some of the original owners relatives bought it, they changed it back. Busy little place. One of the lakes was drained out at SSP, and several of the walking paths were grown over (although the main paths were still in good shape). The murals are pretty cool, i've took my kids down there a few times. that ties in with my last post here. Our past is pretty celebrated, but there isn't a whole lot of looking into our future here. Just like the Sombrero, most everything we had, is now gone. On a related note........The Portsmouth Brewing Co. has the absolute best chicken wings you will eat anywhere. If you get back into this neck of the wood, and you haven't had them, I would HIGHLY recommend them.
  16. That makes alot more sence
  17. If my wife knew about this place, I could promise I'd be making a 5 hour round trip.........She's like the organized hoarder grandma, who's sometimes unorganized. But, maybe if I did take her up there, It'd be some major brownie points my way.
  18. ^One of the ride ops said it had something to do with the lock on the lap bar. He wouldn't really say a whole lot about it
  19. Have you ever been to Scioto County? Don't get me wrong, this place will always be home. There is just not a whole lot going on here.
  20. South central Ohio has absolutey nothing going on in the winter months, as matter of fact it don't have much going for it in warm weather, either. If It was up to me I'd hibernate till March
  21. Yea, i got to enjoy the sewage plant one very hot, muggy August day this past summer. It was the first time I had been down there in five years or so, and was kinda sad to see how much more it had went downhill. We went on a Sunday and there were, maybe, 200 people in the park. When I was younger I can remember that place being just packed to where to where you was in line a while to get on any of the rides..........I understand that Camden doesn't have money like alot of the bigger parks and chains, but, sometimes a mop, a good cleaner, and elbow grease go along way.
  22. I went to Camden Park this season and was kinda surprised to see they still had their pay toilets there. they weren't in working order, which wasn't the only thing. being a small park, that probably doesn't have alot of money to keep with newer times, If the upkeep was better that would be a great place to go for a nostalgic 60's/70's type of amusement park. Don't know what i've done here, Not real computer smart sometimes
  23. A few years back, (I think around time Diamondback opened) Terp asked the question of what people thought the single rider line would look like in 2013. Even though it's a year later, I think it's evolved enough where that question has answered itself. I don't think a whole lot of people will buy into it. Personally, when we have to shop for my teens Christmas gifts, I have to thinks of phones and I-Pads, things of the sort. I can for sure say, it would get the same reaction as when they open up a pair of pajamas..........
  24. Nah, Never been to a Six Flags. I take it is their policy at all their parks?
  25. If they didn't have any bins on any of the rides, yea, the lines would move quicker. But do you think people would spend as much money on merchandise as they normally would? They have the lockers to rent, alot of people find that to be a hassle (and make them feel like the park is making them pay an unnecessary expence that they don't really wanna pay) Wonder where the fine line is there, X amount of money in merch to X amount of money for lockers and gettin them through line quicker, meaning more time to ride other things?
