  1. Headed that way anyways, hoping the crowd thins out for some good night rides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I can see both sides of it. They'd see me more often on slow days if I could see the wait times when trying to decide. At the same time, if there are big waits today, I won't be heading that way. I think it's a 50/50 split on whether it would help them or hurt them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Anyone know current wait times? Thinking of making the trip for some night rides! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think it's about 10-15 off. However, I've noticed some days that a ton of rides will say 0 minute wait when it is very busy, so I'm not sure how things are updated exactly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. My mom shared a fond memory of my grandma with me while at the park this week. My grandma never rode anything and she would sit in the shaded area outside the park (under the trees where the walkway path is now) and read a book all day long. My mom and friends would go out there to eat a picnic lunch with her and then go back in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Assuming you are planning to ride even though you "probably" shouldn't, I will give you my suggestions. My mom is 51 and has neck problems. Here is a list of things she has ridden successfully without problem and those she doesn't. Does ride: Banshee, Diamonback, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Adventure Express, The Bat Does not ride: Flight of Fear, Vortex, Racer, The Beast. She has never been on Firehawk, but in my experience, I don't think it would be suitable at all for anyone with back or neck problems. Hope that helps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Millennium Force, hands down. The bugs are a problem, but I still say front seat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We went in a group of 5 today and I was faced with this dilemma. Right at 10am we were getting on Woodstock Express. As we were trying to work out all being on the same train, another family of 5 told me I could sit with their daughter who was riding alone (she was about 7/8). I said thank you and then asked the girl herself if it was okay. By the time we got up the lift hill, we were best buds. It was a really nice experience of people being friendly to one another. A lot different than a ride op trying to force or strongly direct it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Headed over to the dry side in a bit. Any updated wait times?
  10. 50 person wait for the Splash River while 20+ rafts float by unattended every five minutes... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. For anyone thinking about heading to Soak City, it is a madhouse. Most slides have full steps plus some. Dry side is not too bad, waits seem typical ranging from 10 minutes to 60 for all coasters. White Water Canyon is 25 min. wait despite the app saying 10. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. ^^ thanks for the info! We are headed to the park now, my stepson is 14 and this is his first time at a real waterpark. It's going to be a scorcher today, plan to take advantage of that free water! Eta: please excuse any typos this weekend. I dropped my phone in the toilet so I'm using a back-up iPhone. 13. Isn't there a sign on one of the large coasters that says "Single Riders will be paired"? I can't remember which one. Nonetheless, even with warning, I don't think it's right. As some others mentioned, I don't so much mind it on rides that you have a decent amount of personal space. But if some stinky person is squeezing in beside me on Backlot Stunt Coaster for instance, no way am I having a good experience with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. If I had to wait for an even number or not go, I might as well not buy passes. I think those are unreasonable options. We don't have any friends with season passes and a lot of people can't shell out $40 bucks a pop to come along. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. If you are specifically looking for something negative, I can see how you would feel this way.IMO, the "I don't ride with anyone I don't know" comeback & subsequent "really??" was more of a shock reply than argumentative. I see no disrespect with it at all. I have personally joked, by playing like a disgruntled guest, around with ride ops just to get a laugh and have sometimes gotten the "really??" reply only to start laughing and let the ride op know is was completely out of humor. There is a point about pedophiles, but as a parent, if I had a concern about my girls being in danger, I would not put them in a situation where it could happen. How exactly would one avoid this danger at all times? As the mother of two young girls (one can ride everything alone and the other cannot) I am sometimes in this exact predicament with my 8yo having to ride alone. Now granted, I am usually in a seat near her, but sometimes she wants to ride in the first car while we are in the back, with the appearance of her being alone. I would not appreciate her being forced to ride with a grown adult because I find it to be unnecessary as I do not believe that single riders would impact wait times wildly enough to require it. I work in a prison around pedophiles every day, and despite that, I am not generally a paranoid person. However, in situations where it can be easily avoided, why put everyone through the uncomfortable situation? It is sad that this is what it has come to, but I'd say that most grown men would be opposed as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hey, cut me some slack! This is my first season here since the death of Hanna Barbara Land!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Just kidding with you, plus we don't want tot make a KICentral members say the darnest things thread... True, since the two most worthy and entertaining candidates for that thread have been banned.... UMadBro and Arrow King.I thought about that thread while there today. I'm probably "that person" that says a lot of the things worthy of that thread. I also, at least 75% of the time, call the rides by their old/original names. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ahhhhmazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. We rode the train today and the lines for the slides we could see were not bad at all, just one platform down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. im getting ready to ride Wind Seeker for the first time right now. I hope your insight does not come to fruition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Incident at Surf Dog right now. Tire smoking, guests are still on it in the middle of the incline. Staff running to the area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Snoopy Land is very crowded as well. Wait times are NOT accurate today, especially the ones that are listing 0 wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Sad to hear today's wait times because we are planning to go tomorrow. We are leaving at noon to head that way, so if anyone is there, I'd be so thankful for an update on crowds/waits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had the unfortunate luck of requiring an emergency appendectomy this week so I won't be riding for a couple weeks. On the fortune side, I am off of work this coming week and will probably feel up to taking the kids. We normally visit on weekends, so I was wondering what the lightest day of the week normally is (less any significant weather conditions)? I'm guessing crowds will be a bit heavier once all of this rain passes, but I'd still like to go on a relatively slow day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Oh, and I love watching live feeds of basically anything. I used to watch the shamu cam at seaworld for hours! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
